Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐Maybe he wouldn’t contradict himself so much.
⭐This book is a great introduction to this challenging discipline. It makes it fun and understandable. It encourages the student to continue the research. Hopefully this will lead to better health for generations to come. Molecular biology holds the key for a better humanity.Well done, we need more teachers like her.
⭐Good overview of heavily entangled ideas. Includes retroviruses. And chloroplasts. Good use of figures and bullet points. Use with Wikipedia for the missing citations and timelines. (Macro molecules processed like lists in functional programming!)
⭐Excellent book on Cell and Molecular Biology. Huge improvement over the 2009 first edition. Chocked full of info from entry level cell anatomy through detailed cellular function and molecular biology.
⭐Awesome book. Very detailed and written in a simple language. My 9th grader read the book like a story
⭐Since graduating from high school 20 years ago, I haven’t studied biology or chemistry. I bought this book simply to satisfy my personal curiosity after reading a few articles that I didn’t fully understand. The book is extremely well written: it’s a clear and interesting read that covers a lot of basics I had either never learned or forgotten. Thank you to the excellent author!
⭐I was looking for a guide to help me brush up on the basics of molecular biology, and this book did a good job of that. However, it seems never to have passed through the hands of an editor, which is why I deducted a couple of stars. Misspellings, missing words, bad grammar — it all diminished the readability of what otherwise is a very good book.
⭐Overall this is a great companion for my text book. It helped explain the more complex concepts better than the text book. It’s not quite as thorough as the text book, so it won’t replace your text book if it’s for a molecular bio class, but if you want to learn it on your own for fun or personal enrichment, I highly recommend it.
⭐It could do with colour diagrams but is very cheap as usual for these books. The detail is excellent. It’s not a simple subject but the book is great but still it is complex so it’s worth re reading pages. I recommend but also needed to up my chemistry and biology a bit before reading although it does cover that but still it’s a complex topic this book does exceptionally well to explain. It’s a science book yet left me in awe of what life is all about and how scientists discovered all of this. An amazing book on an amazing subject
⭐Book itself looks great and a useful guide for alongside a science degree. However the condition it arrived in looks second hand even though it’s not. The covers are bent and creased and the colour is flaking off particularly in scratched places.Possibly bought and returned previously but can’t be certain.
⭐The text is not printed correctly making me suspect its a fraud copy – how has someone not looked at it!Waste of money barely readable
⭐Very informative but a little dry in places
