⭐If you are working on the field of experimental particle physics, and you need to learn some basics or do some revision on particle detectors, then this is one of the on-shelf bibles. Another one is Detectors for Particle Radiation by Konrad Kleinknecht. In introducing and explaining the working principle of particle detectors, Kleinknecht does a slightly better job, while for update information of detectors Grupen does a slightly better job. Both are good and are on-shelf bibles.
