Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I like the book but I’m having to read it carefully because it is very technical for someone who is new at this. I used to use HP Photosmart (very simple) and then bought PE7. However, I am learning quite a bit. I think it’s a great reference tool. The illustrations are great too. I started with tuitorials, but once you close them out, you can’t remember what to do! I can have the book open AT THE SAME TIME I am using my Photoshop to keep me on track. I also like learning the technical stuff on color, saving different types of files and what their best uses are, etc…I always wondered about all that. But you could skip over it if it disinterests you…and get to the editing part. The book even tells you that you can skip around to your favorite parts. I am happy with my purchase. This is my first “dummies” book.

⭐This volume covers the most used steps in using Elements version 7.0 very well. I’ve been an Elements user since its inception. Not at a very high level, just to a degree necessary for good image production for personal use.As Elements takes on more of the matel of a full photoshop application, A good practical instruction book was needed and this book for dummies has filled the bill to a tee.It provides good clear and complete instruction of all of the features within Elements. I’ve been slowly learning things that I never knew where there. Most will never be used; but should I need to investigate them the answers can be found within.

⭐I have read this book a couple times now and it does give a background to understanding what the program’s many buttons, commands and tools can do. I would have liked a bit more examples but any program, especialy a graphics one, is a ‘hands on; project. It also gives a clear review on what layers are, how to use them and encourages you to experiment. One thing I thought was missing was color pictures so you could see an effect
