Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I have read numerous books on Reiki the last few months as well as completed an on line three level course on the Reiki healing method. I purchased this fantastic 334 page soft cover (Reiki for Dummies by Nina L. Paul, Ph.D. Reiki Master) book on Amazon for a bargain price and I must say this is one of the best books I have read thus far on Reiki.I found this book very easy to read and the format made it extremely simple to understand the material. This book also has the most clear and readable Reiki symbols of all the other books I have read on Reiki. I also love the cheat sheet at the beginning of this book. This excellent volume is organized into five parts with twenty one chapters. The first part (Discovering Reiki) gives an overview of what Reiki is and its basic principles. The second part is about experiencing Reiki for yourself. The third part focuses on becoming well-versed in Reiki by taking classes and memorizing the material required to heal yourself and others. The fourth part explains how to share Reiki with others. The final part (The part of tens) provides detailed instruction on using Reiki every day for personal growth and the myths about Reiki.Whether you desire to just learn some basic information about Reiki methods or you intend to study it more seriously with a Reiki Practitioner or Reiki master this book can serve as an excellent reference source. As I mentioned before, this has become my “go to book” in my continuing study of Reiki. Keep in mind that Reiki is like any other Japanese martial art in that just because you reach the Reiki master level, it does not mean you no longer need to study to improve yourself.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/Seated Tai Chi, Qigong, and Yoga stretching for seniors and the physically challenged).

⭐LOVE IT!! I have received my Reiki I training and am going for Reiki II. Although the studio gave us a manual, this book is MUCH more detailed, yet MUCH easier to understand. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through it and have strongly recommended this to friends. Not only is it in the typical “Dummies” style, where you can read what you want and skip around to various chapters while still understanding the topic, it also goes in to topics not covered in my first training, so I feel prepared for Reiki II when we discuss Distance Reiki, symbols, etc. Wonderful resource that I will resort to again and again!

⭐The author of this book has remarkable credentials, and writes in an informed, clear, experienced, and highly receivable way. I find myself having to adjust to the “Dummies” title series – alas, I wish it were otherwise. However, the content of this book is outstanding. Clearly presented, it is the best book I have read yet on the subject. If you read only one book on Reiki, let this be the one. Highly recommended.

⭐Bought as gift but kept for my library insteadI’m a certified Usui Reiki Master and this is great for beginners or new students or ideas for teaching training…. everyone learns differently… this is great for a wide range of audiences. Highly recommend

⭐I used this as the text for my Reiki classes until Pamela Miles’ Reiki book came out, and I still promote it as an excellent 2nd book. Only one glitch/error: You CANNOT in fact become attuned long-distance or from a CD or webinar. Doesn’t work. But everything else is accurate and excellent. In contrast to others (and I respect their viewpoint, including Miles’), Paul includes the Level II and III symbols. Highly recommended!

⭐Reiki for Dummies is yet another well organized, easy to read and informative Dummies book. I have heard mention of Reiki many times in my life and generally thought I understood it. When I decided I wanted to learn a little more about it, my first instinct was to purchase a book in from this series. This book did not disappoint. It provided a good overview of the history and practice of Reiki and also went into detail on Reiki hand positions and symbols . It had very good tips about choosing a Reiki practitioner and/or teacher. I enjoyed this book and achieved a good understanding of Reiki.

⭐I typically like For Dummies books, but this one is so repetitive that I feel like I’m wasting my time. It constantly rephrases the same material. I also find that I become confused about the structure of the information in the book. At the same time, I’m reading “Investing in 20s and 30s for Dummies”, which is a great read. For example of rephrasing, see Chapter 3: The second paragraph rephrases something in the first paragraph.

⭐I ordered this book to provide an inexpensive refresher to the Reiki training I acquired in early 2002. I went through all three levels of Reiki training and even received the Reiki Master Teacher Certification, but never really used it much at the time. As the years passed I seemed to drift away from Reike and the training I acquired until recently my husband became very ill which shocked me into remembering I had already received Reiki Master training and wasn’t using it at all. For me this book served as a perfect refresher course. I have had this book a less than a month and I am performing Reiki almost as well as I was years ago. I will not let my training go to waste again. I am glad I found this book. The price was very reasonable and the book has lots of reference material listed for further study. The book was listed as used, but arrived in perfect condition. Whoever had the book previously took excellent care of it. I appreciate that!

⭐I like this book, as a Reiki teacher I find when students begin Reiki they naturally have many questions. This book has a clear way of explaining Reiki and yet leaving the student to make up their own opinion on the subject and giving them the information to investigate further should they wish. It is a great book for beginners and I recommend this to my students as some books although very informative can be heavy going and can put beginners off.

⭐Good book like previous reviewers I would have liked some info on attunements but other than that I like the format and info.Have had other books on Reiki and just felt I wanted to revisit the subject.Enjoying the chance to catch up with Reiki. Book was in fair condition – pity about coffee/tea stains on pages, but still usable, just a little suprising. Book was classed as used but still…

⭐This is a good comprehensive and well written book. Its format makes it easy to locate specific subjects.

⭐A very easy to use book. Good for dipping in and out of for info as well

⭐The author does insist on presuming that practitioners are women. I cannot for instance practise on my “husband.” It is well written and thorough.
