User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Not really what I was after

⭐I bought this as an accessory to a Six Sigma Green Belt course I took through a company called “More Steam”. Its a company that many larger employers use to host their own internal trainings. We used their online workbooks, tests and learning methodologies.Unfortunately, this book did not help that much. I feel this book is full of useful information and, as usual with this series, presented in a very straight-forward way. HOWEVER, the methods within, terminology and requirements for the Green Belt course did not line up with my vended training.Further the way this book was written did not make it much of a use for “indexing” or cross-referencing what I was learning in my course. The index could be more comprehensive.I was surprised how “linear” the presentation of this book made six sigma seem, whereas my class taught about varying methods and scoping a project for choosing those methods. This book should also provide an online website to support some of the pages and pages of sigma calculating that it supports. This was a major annoyance. Its really unfortunate that Six Sigma teachings, as a whole are not as universal as I had once assumed they would be and this book was not as useful to my learning as I had hoped it would be. The book should be more clear that it is not intended to be an all encompassing factor for learning about six sigma. In fact its more of a Cliffs Notes version of learning about six sigma as opposed to assisting you practice the skills within.Book score 3/5Having said all that, I would give the More Steam class I took only a 2 out of 5, but that’s not applicable to this product, but an important footnote to my review.

⭐Although I am not in the manager part of manufacture my, I have always wondered what Six Sigma was about. This read hits all the significant points without becoming overwhelming. Its an excellent overview of the history and implementation of the Six Sigma method, and gives good insights into how the program can benefit about any business venture. Nicely laid out for all regardless of interest or ability.

⭐Bought this book to help as as additional information as I seek to gain knowledge in this field and started with yellow belt six sigma training & eventually my certification. For me, this book provides other viewpoints and helps with understanding the basic formulas that I came across. Being that my current employment is a OTR truck driver that seeks to no longer be on the road for long periods of time. In essence, going back to a subject and employment area that had been sidelined and sidetracked due to distractions in my life. So yes, this book is worthwhile and is worth the cost i paid for this book. When you are all you have in improving your life then i finally realized that it’s only befitting that you do whatever is absolutely necessary for you to improve one’s life.

⭐As per the usual, this is watered down and layman’s terms kind of stuff. Think about how you might want to dabble in LSS and this is a good intro. This book will NOT prepare you well for the certification exam.

⭐Helped to digest the Six Sigma Program with plain language.

⭐Six Sigma is the business buzz word and there is a lot to learn to master this process. I love Dummies books because they keep the language simple so you aren’t drained after reading the material. I am drained enough when applying the methodologies in real life, so don’t need to be drained reading about it.If you are starting on the journey of Six Sigma this book is a great tool. It allows a novice to get their feet wet without feeling overwhelmed or lost.

⭐This is exactly what I needed to determine whether or not I wanted to take online classes for Six Sigma. I have been familiar with some of the Six Sigma methods but not very in depth, so this book was very helpful.

⭐This book is excellent for learning in more detail about 6 sigma as other books that I have read do not make it easy to understand. It does not use what I refer to as gobbledegook making you go round in circles trying to make sense of the book. Excellent read

⭐all ok thank you

⭐A good insight to ideas

⭐ok dont buy the kindle version

⭐Easy to read
