⭐This is by far the best book I have come across in last few years. It is extremely well written and great book to anyone who wants to learn and get to active research in SUSYQM. It introduces SUSYQM to a larger audience, students need to know quantum mechanics at phys 500 level. The first eight chapters is more or less introductory, next few chapters are very specific to application of SUSYQM. The book lists a large number of interesting problems and the solution to those are also provided at the end. This book takes the student from an introductory level to published literarture in the subject. Since it was published in 2011, it is extremely current.

⭐A review of Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics – an Introduction by Asim Gangopadhyaya, Jeffry V. Mallow and Constantin Rasinariu. World Scientific 2011 ISBN 978-9814313094.This is a textbook on quantum mechanics which presents the traditional treatment of the Schrödinger equation as well as the Dirac equation more briefly. We go through the infinite well, harmonic oscillator, Coulomb potential, half harmonic oscillator, three-dimensional harmonic oscillator and so on. After concepts and solutions are presented everything is done again from the supersymmetric point of view. The benefit is often an easier and more direct approach to classical results. Additional findings are a dividend of the formalism. The arguments are elegant with mathematical details included; some of these are left as exercises for the reader. The presentation for the half-harmonic oscillator are at variance with what one might encounter in the literature, but I find no fault with it.The general idea of SUSYQM (super symmetric quantum mechanics) is the introduction of the so- called superpotential which gives rise to two partner potentials with the same eigenspectrum except for one ground level. So instead of getting the spectrum from a given potential, here you can arrive at the potentials from a given spectrum. But this is not only of academic value as the concept of shape invariance is introduced. The short version is that by a clever procedure you get unknown spectra by a technique similar to that of using classical raising and lowering operators. I would recommend the two chapters on WKB and SUSYQM and Hamilton-Jacobi formalism and SUSYQM covering traditionally hard but important ground.The book is the ripe fruit of the authors’ many years of research in SUSYQM and it is here and there difficult to tell if we are dealing with a textbook or a very thorough review article of SUSYQM. An addendum mentions a new class of supersymmetric shape invariant potentials. I hope they will include these in a following edition of the book.At the end of the book solutions to all problems are given, which was very helpful to this reader.For the next edition I would suggest the authors spend a little time improving the index which is too short for my taste. ⭐Meiner Ansicht nach gibt es bessere Bücher zu dem Thema als das hier Angebotene. Es gibt aber auch noch qualitativ Schlechteres am Markt, daher 3 Sterne (Mittelmaß).
