⭐Bought this hesitantly because of another reviewer’s misfortune with apparently poor photos, but my copy is wonderful and clear! Maybe a printing error on the other one? Mine is marked “First English Edition published 2017”. I cannot fault any of the pictures at all! It is like browsing a best-of on Astrobin. I am thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend this informative book for any amateur astronomers interested in galaxies, especially astrophotographers. This collection sets the bar high! Works also as a fantastic coffee table book — though mine will be busy in the observatory as inspiration and reference!

⭐Good book but not many photos!

⭐For the kind of image quality there is now, this is a vintage product with plenty of fabulous information but really the photos of the galaxies are so old and dated. They are quite grainy and somehow we are all spoilt by the stuff that Hubble and Chandra have outputted over the years

⭐When I looked inside the book online, the photographs were beautiful and high quality. However, the photographs in the book I received were low quality in comparison. I purchased the book primarily because of the wonderful photographs. IF you have an edition with high quality photographs, I would gladly trade the book I bought for it!

⭐Excellent book – focussed on what a well equipped amateur astronomer may achieve with good equipment. Even the type camera is often stated as well as total data acquisition time.

⭐A beautiful publication, whether enjoyed for research, learning or simply its aesthetic value.

⭐Libro raro estremamente interessante. Una dimostrazione di cosa si può fare oggi con una attrezzatura di media ampiezza. Risultati impossibili solo qualche decennio fa.Foto assolutamente stupende, avrebbero meritato quasi tutte il formato a pagina intera.Alcune troppo sacrificate in solo una parte di pagina. Testo interessante ma troppo breve.Avrei preferito una piccola mappa per ogni oggetto in modo da indicare la sua posizione nel cielo.Pesatura della carta troppo leggera. Formato del libro perfetto.Un tuffo emozionante nell’incredibile universo delle Galassie. Dopo tutto noi abitiamo in una di esse!

⭐Mais outre qu’il est en anglais, c’est plutôt un livre pour amateur de photo astronomique.J’ai dû renvoyer le premier arrivé abîmé. Le second l’était aussi, mais moins : je n’ai pas insisté car j’en avais besoin.Il est magnifiquement imprimé sur un papier glacé, et les photos sont spectaculaires. Pourquoi payer si cher ce que l’on trouve gratuitement sur le net ? Parce que c’est un très bel objet que l’on peut consulter sans être vissé devant un écran, et j’ajouterai qu’il ne tombe pas en panne au moment où on en a besoin … lol
