⭐I’m an indie author, and this book served as fascinating research for my next dystopian novella. He demonstrated that he’s extensively well versed in his topic, based on all the resources and notes he left in the back pages of the book. It’s a well written account about the risks of artificial intelligence and Franken-science, and a great read that really makes you think about the future. He foreshadows the precipice that we are all about to cliff dive from and how as humans, we will soon be downgraded and replaced by something more ominous, and whose intentions may not be to preserve humanity. I’ve been looking for a writer who can take on the mantle of Michael Crichton in fiction, and although this author writes non-fiction, the themes are real and similar, so he’s made me a new fan. I am now reading his next book, Seeing is Believing. The only drawback is that I would have liked to have gotten it signed, but there is no way to order autographed copies from him directly- sigh! But overall, I highly recommend this read.

⭐Another great read that I highly recommend. As science & technology progress at an exponential pace, the potential for devastating unintended negative consequences does as well. Are we glibly ignoring them because we’re so infatuated with our ability to manipulate and control nature? Even if our motives are purely altruistic (which we should seriously question), do we have the wisdom and character to properly steward our newfound ability, or are we intoxicated by our own power?

⭐From a lifetime of study in the history of science Dr G has a perspective to see trends that I easily missed. Yet he doesn’t take an alarmist approach to declare all is lost. His recommendations are pragmatic and sensible for both Christians who see science as discovery of God’s amazing creation and those who just want to be responsible global citizens.

⭐Your head will be spinning, but you MUST read this brilliant description of what the quite nearby future holds for us, our children and our grandchildren. Dr. Guillen holds PHD’s in Math, Astronomy and Physics, and is a well known public figure. No sensationalism here, just the facts. It is so thoroughly researched and referenced it should be used in high school and college STEM classes, yet Dr. Guillen writes with beautiful clarity for the non science oriented, average person as well.I bought four more copies for Christmas presents.

⭐A book of wisdom and knowledge that many will not care to understand what is controversial about our world. Myself being born in the post Industrial Age and a free thinker believed these things many years ago . Whatever controls your thoughts owns us .Let mankind understand that these times are full of power hungry people who use technology to advance their agendas , Wake up and get wisdom above all things as it can guide us safely thru today’s world . Great book .

⭐This book is downright scary! But it needs to be read. In fact, if there is one book in America right now that should be required reading — as we press the pedal to the metal in this mad dash of technological insanity — it is Guillen’s. He is not a fear-monger. He simply presents facts and adds a few insights and opinions and he has the credentials to be listened to. It is a very readable book and it needs to be read.

⭐Most people either uncritically accept whatever changes technology brings, or else they vehemently oppose those changes. This book falls in neither camp. It will make you think about the future, and your future within the new world.

⭐Eye opening, everyone should understand how fast the world is changing, ask the questions that will impact your life! Believe in what Gods plan is for all .
