⭐Inside was in good condition, outside cover was a bit beat and peeled of, however still it was in decent condition to use. Thumbs up and glad Amazon came through so I won’t have to drop the class

⭐I really liked this book, even as a mathematics major. It was a great introduction to areas of math I thought I had no interest in as well as a good overview of effective mathematical thinking. After reading this book and taking a course that went along with it I developed a new-found interest in graph theory, which was an area I thought I hated.If you think you hate mathematics, this is a good book for you. The explanations of seemingly-intimidating concepts are clear and there are lots of explanations of how you see these phenomena in the “real world.”Overall, I highly recommend this.

⭐Came in in excellent condition.

⭐This is the only way I could understand math. And now I like it! Unfortunately it does not explain itself thoroughly all the time which is why I always had to return to my professor to go step by step (chapters tend to skim a bit). The humor is amusing and the ideas are fascinating!

⭐I used this book for a MATH 100 course, after having not taken a math class for 10 years. Thank goodness for the instructor and office hour visits, because if I had to rely solely on this book, I would have been completely lost. The authors seem more concerned with corny jokes and unintentionally condescending remarks than with actually explaining the concepts. Some chapters were incredibly easy, and others were extremely hard- there was no apparent progression of skills, the chapters would bounce from geometry to linear algebra to graphing, etc. They broke some concepts down in painstaking detail, and then would suddenly assume you knew the quadratic formula. I think this book could be good for students right out of high school, or someone who has recently visited mathematical concepts- for myself, it was confusing and tedious.

⭐The book served its purpose.

⭐It’s a bit too cute for my liking in its presentation of concepts. It gets the job done, but I feel like professors have to go out of the way to simplify some of the poor explanations within the book.

⭐I was worried that it would be in black&white and not come with 3D glasses. It is in color and it comes with the glasses! The paper is thin (that goes for the hard cover too) though. Be careful with the pages.Near the beginning the authors give the reasoning behind the front cover image; they explain that they want you to color it. The binder ready version has a banner explaining the advantages of a binder ready version on its front cover, covering part of the image you’re encouraged to color in.
