⭐Basically the same old plot line but without any real oomph. The character development was lacking and, to be honest, nothing much happened. Oh, there was one ridiculous “battle” where three Highlanders took out a 12-man troop of Englishmen (in full armor, no less!) and then afterwards stopped to give them a decent burial. *Hmm.* The author also had William Wallace acting like a clown, jumping up on a table still in his warpaint and muddy shoes and raving like a lunatic while people were eating and drinking. I did a lot of skimming to finish this. I gave it 2 1/2 stars, but I just couldn’t round it up to 3.Sexual content may offend some readers

In the following years Jaimie has often remember the fair haired maiden.Laird Jamie Montgomery is a warrior with a mission for William Wallace to recruit men, money and supplies for the rebel cause. He arrives at Laird Sutherland’s to request men and encounters his fair maiden Lorna again. Her brother has just informed Lorna she must marry and she’s resistant to her brother choosing her husband. Lady Lorna Sutherland can’t resist Jaimie’s charms, he’s one irresistible Highlander. He never expected to find love and especially a woman he wanted to marry that is until he became reacquainted with Lorna. He has a mission and he has no time for a wife and family at this time in his life. Jaime and Lorna fall in love, there caught in a compromising position and he’s tossed off Sutherland land by Magnus, her brother, vowing they will never marry, but Jaimie and Lorna never give up. Their love is strong, they vow to never give up until they can be together. ⭐Jamie Montgomery and Lorna Sutherland a love ment to be. 15 years ago 14 year old Jamie rescued 4 year old Lorna as his father’s s army tried to rescue the father, mother and young brother. Karma was hiding behind a rock and all Jamie could see was blond hair. He picked her up and ride to Sutherland land and her home. His father came behind him wondering where Jamie had gone instead of fighting with him and their warriors. He explained that he found a small girl and was bringing her home. Jamie’s father asks for the Laird. 14 year old Mangos said he supposed it was him since his father had been killed.15 years later Jamie is in the Highlands for Wallace and The Bruce to gather men and supplies and coins for fighting the English. He meets with Lorna again and they fall in love. Knowing she was the one he saved all those years ago Jamie knows she was ment to be his bride. Mangos informs him that Lorna is betrothed. The book is now time for you to read and enjoy your self. A rating of 5 stars for Eliza Knight’s prequel to the Stolen Bride Series. ENJOY THE PAGE TURNER BOOK!!!

⭐*** This review container a wee spoiler or two***Really disappointed in this read! Laird Jamie didn’t fit my imagination or beliefs of what a Scottish highlander would be like or act like. He wasn’t super alpha, he didn’t respect Laird Magnus or really lady Lorna by kissing and deflowering her before being wed. Don’t even get me started on the fact she was betrothed to another AT THE TIME! (regardless it wss arranged or not, it still counts!) No real historically added content or descriptions of Scotland to draw the reader in. All in all not a fan nor will I continue on with this series. Free read thank goodness!

⭐The Highlander’s Temptation is the Prequel to the Stolen Brides series by Eliza Knight. We never know why people come into our lives or why some leave for that matter. In this story, Jaime and his father stumbled on the ambush of another Laird and part of his family. Jaime broke away from his fathers men to go rescue a small girl of four and return her to her family and clan. Fifteen years later life began to slowly interweave their fates into a pattern of love, loyalty, and self determination. When Jaime and Lorna meet again, entirely by accident while Jaime is on an errand for William Wallace, the coals of their past begin to warm, the spark becomes a flame, and they become consumed in the fires of desire. Their fates are changed, or were they predestined? This is an excellent prequel and provides just enough background for you to begin to better understand The Stolen Brides Series. Be sure to start at the beginning with this Prequel before continuing on to the rest of the series. Wonderfully written story with believable, multidimensional characters set in a fully developed plot.

⭐I loved this fast-paced, beautifully written story! THE HIGHLANDER’S TEMPTATION will sweep you away to the Highlands of Scotland, where we meet our Hero, Laird Jamie Montgomery, and a lovely, spirited lass, Lady Lorna Sutherland.This book will take you on an amazing journey as two people find themselves falling head over heels in love with each other, and Eliza Knight does a fantastic job of capturing the magic and the wonder of it all! Hang on tight, because Jamie and Lorna are going to have to fight to get to a happily-ever-after, and you will find it difficult to put this book down!Tender, powerful, and captivating, THE HIGHLANDER’S TEMPTATION is not to be missed! Ten Stars!

⭐Could have used better editing, and it really irks me when someone tries to include Gaelic with no understanding of it. I lost count of how many times I was subjected to “lèine shirt.” What’s Gaelic for shirt? Lèine! Why would you say “shirt shirt,” fer cryin’ out loud?! Argh. It was most weird to see William Wallace reduced to a minor character and raging hothead who most resembled a hard-drinking frat boy jock than a military genius.

⭐Really enjoyed this book. Was good to go back to the beginning and find out what happened between Lorna and Jamie. Loving all these connected stories.

⭐Another good read from this author, well written and very much enjoyed. Now to take a look and see what else I can find.

⭐My Granny says the books as a great storyline and most get the book and to get the whole series

⭐I love this series and Jaime and Lorna’s story was beautiful. I was not disappointed in the slightest, I enjoyed everything about it and fell in love with Jaime at the same time. I hope that Eliza does more in the series, as there are a lot more of her characters that she can explore. Well done Eliza

⭐I have read this series of books and loved them but this one I just could not gel with. Story was a bit ploddy and not exciting enough nothing really happens usually I cannot put them down and can’t wait to finish but this one dragged on sorry to say it but it was just ok
