⭐ I picked this book up because I saw that Colleen Hoover had participated in it. Some of the stories didn’t hold my interest or were just straight up weird. I did skip over some but gave all of them a try. I’m just not one for fantasy or historical type of books. If a story hasn’t captured my interest in the first page, I’m not reading it. I do like books like this with short stories because if I really like the writing of an author, and if they can tell a story that holds my interest in just a few pages, I know it’s someone I want to look up more of their books and read.Ones that stuck out to me were: “For A Soldier”, This one touched my heart and would have made a great full story I think. To be able dig deeper into Morgan’s mind and how his life developed after.”Moving On” was another super sweet story about Maddison, Vincent and Lucas. A sad one but with a happy ending.”Friends with Benefits” Was another good short story about Toby and Liam. I have to say I haven’t read many books with same sex couples but I would have loved this book to be longer and explore their relationship more. Here’s to ’50 years’.. (If you read this short story, you get it.)”Songs from the Heart” starts with singing sensation Mandy who goes back to her hometown and remembers the kiss she never got to have with Matthew Williamson in school. You then get to meet Mandy’s mystery song writer. Very cute story. And the last one was”Divinity’s Kiss”, It starts inside a church, and what I love about it is that it has werewolves (which I’m normally not prone to read about unless it’s in Twilight.. ha!) but instead of an actual kiss like most of the other stories in this book, this one was more of a figurative kiss. Very well written and I thought this was very sweet, especially towards the beginning.

⭐ This book is a collection of 31 short stories all of which culminate in a kiss. Some are romantic, others are not. Additionally, some of the stories are selected portions from longer novels, (for example “Midnight Snack” by Molly Snow, which is a modified chapter from Ms. Snow’s “Kiss a Werewolf” novel) while others are stand alone stories (FYI none end in a cliffhanger, though I was surprise by the ending of a couple.)The story, “Midnight Snack” is about a girl, Maggie, who goes on a date. It’s a bit bizarre, but I found Maggie to be a fun, zany character. So far, of all the stories I’ve read, my favorite is “This Moment” by J. L. Jarvis. It’s a story about a modern day woman who gets stuck in a snowstorm with a sexy, 18th century Highlander. It’s super sweet and romantic, but a little sad. Another favorite is “Moving On” by Anna J. McIntyre. That story is extremely poignant and made me cry a little. It’s about woman who is trying to move on from her marriage, with the encouragement of her husband.The first story, “True Love’s Kiss” is a comedic take on the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. That story made me LOL. I particularly liked Ella, an Elf woman, whose sarcastic wit is unparalleled. The fourth story, “A Father’s Kiss” by Coleen Hoover, is a story about family. It is told from the point of view of a woman who spent part of her childhood in foster care. As you can see the stories in this collection significantly vary in type. The only one so far that I didn’t really care for is, “A Kick Ass Kiss” by Shirley Bourget. It’s not that the story was bad, but that, quite frankly, I didn’t understand it. Apparently, Ms. Bourget writes paranormal fiction, but in her story I couldn’t figure out if the girl, from whose point of view the story is written, was actually dead or something else.The book’s table of contents lists all 31 stories and gives a quick snippet about each. It’s one of the pages you get to see when you choose the “look inside” option. So, if you think you may be interested in this book, and want a bit more info, you can check it out before purchasing. So far all the stories I’ve read are well written and extremely entertaining. Each one is quite short, the perfect length for bedtime reading, or when you just have a half hour of so to indulge in a bit of reading.

⭐ Each story is very different; most are good.I haven’t found an error yet in usage or grammar – oops, I just found “We’re you’re friends.” And later on, “causing all the zombie’s to rise …”I only found one story that I stopped reading and jumped to the next.

JarvisCam and Mac are sisters Cam is married has two kids and has been setting up Mac with men so she’d marry and have a life of her own but she wants something more .. wants a scotsman a highlander type man . what she gets is something more than she ever imagined she’d ever get a man named . “Ciaran MacRae. he is more than meets the eye and time runs out and he vanishes will he ever come back for her and will they ever truly have more than a kiss …A Kick-Ass Kiss Shirley Bourgetwow IT makes you think of what the future will be like if you self destroy yourself in ways you never knew you could but to also think if you could change the past would you …. this was a very interesting and quick read but also makes you think about the you . you can be and the you you are today ……(2014-04/ april -05). She goes to her boyfriends funeral and has her friends there to help her through it ..Luci goes to her now dead boyfriends parents room to get jewelry to help her on her quest she then goes to her boyfriends room and gets their love notes then goes to the kitchen and goes to get a knife … to find out why she does you will have to buy , read and review this book to find out . i will say it is a very interesting twist … it may be morbid and in a way fascinating as well.. until next read and review read on…TRUE LOVEE. Nancy gets a call at the gym from Paul her husband to come home as to what the calle entailed Debra does not know but will be there for her friend ..Paul Fletcher into Thoeology who follows God and teaches the word but his faith is about to be tested … He told her something that her sister told him and she screamed She just found out her father and her two sisters have been shot ….Her sisters passed on but her father has not .. its a very sad story …..THE SLAVE WHO’D NEVER BEEN KISSEDJESS MOUNTIFIELDTHE CAPTAIN’S FIRST CONTACTAuraylia see’s the Captain whose name is Dylan in which she follows him .. the slave girl Auraylia finally makes a move on Dylan and tries to have him buy her from her owner but she gets turned down and now Dylan is in the commanding officers office .. he used to get his orders from Admiral Keana, but now it is someone else …He is thinking of buying the slave girl but is unsure …The go yo see Auraylia’s owner to buy her and set her free .. He Dylan negotiates with her owner and finally he gets her papers and are on their way to his orders to go to a distant planet to send medical and food supplies … She wants to pay him back and they make a deal to only have her give a percentage of her earnings .. Auraylia finds herself the object of one of the crew men who find out she was a former slave and now they want more from her she does not want to give… also she finds herself in a war that someone race has now invaded the ship and are now fighting an alien race ..Auraylia has a hard time with the male humans considering they want more with her so when the Thorian whom is not human allows her to sleep in the one section where he will be for awhile allows her protection where as in her bunk she doesn’t feel safe with the two men who want to take her to their beds ..She attacked the Captain but did not realize it now she is going to be having a trial and now she wants to come to an understanding even if it means she gives the captain her body in return to her freedom .. the question is will he allow it or deny this .. Few of the crew knows Auraylia is hiding the truth and come up with a plan to have the truth come out so they send Varl the Thorian to talk with her finally tells why she did what she did and wishes she could give the captain the credits he bought her with so she would not feel guilty she just wishes to feel safe again only two people she feels safe with the Captain and the Thorian his second in command ..The truth comes out and Auraylia is allowed to sleep where she feels more comfortable and also recieves a christmas present to find this out and more to all the stories in this book buy the book read and then review

⭐ Only reason I read this was for CH and I just read her story. I’m sure the other stores are great. I just have too many books on my kindle. So, I didn’t remember any of the characters on this book, but it’s a CH story and it was great.

⭐ This book has so many short short stories in it, written by different people. You can find a new writer maybe, but so far in the first 7 stories I have not been too into it. But I think there are something like 30 short stories in all.1. True Love’s Kiss= by Ben Cassidy, This one was way too much of a childrens fairy tale for me, and leaves you hanging at the end, but I really didn’t care, I was glad it was over.2. This Moment= by J.L. Jarvis, This is about time traveler, which was good, but left allot of questions not answered at the end.3. A Kick ass Kiss= by Shirley Bourget, super short and some what confusing train ride.4. A Father’s Kiss= by Colleen Hoover, I liked this one, it is a sweet Family story5. Death Kiss= by George Wier, This one I liked allot very interesting story about a skin eating bacteria, left allot of questions I would like to finish this one some time if it has a full book about it.6. For a Soldier= by Jason Deas, This is about what’s inside a soldiers mind after he comes home from war.7. How to Knit yourself a Husband= by Traci Hilton, I am not done with this one yet, so far it is about a young girl who joins a knitting sit in, in hopes of getting arrested so she can get deported and get a free trip home to be with her boyfriend.

⭐ All the stories throughout the collection are great short stories to read while having your coffee or when you just want a story that will fill your lunch hour. I went back and even immediately re-read some of them. A couple made me teary. These are definitely worth the read.

⭐ Too much jumping from one to another. Most of the excerpts were not enjoyable. I only read all of this because I believe in finishing what I started

⭐ My favorite in this anthology was Colleen Hoover’s A Father’s Kiss. It was really nice to get a short but sweet story update on the characters from slammed.
