Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I ordered The Logic Book, it arrived in 7 days in good condition. I am happy with this purchase. Thank you.

⭐This text was not very easy to read, even though I had taken a previous logic class on predicate and propositional logic. I would recommend a text with more examples, clearer discussion of the philosophy of logic, and some comparison to Aristotelian logic.

⭐Being a philosophy student, math has always scared me away, but this book is an essential for any philosopher. The lessons are straightforeword and clear so that humanities students like me can follow along with the math-like concepts. All the examples are relevant and clearly stated as well.

⭐Only the cover is kind of worn out, as fairly stated in the description. Overall, the book is really great with a fair price!

⭐I needed this book for my symbolic logic class. There were some times where the book was helpful, but often times explanations were long winded and confusing where they were actually quite simple if you think about it. This book is also filled with mistakes. Sometimes it was unimportant things, but other times it would say something that is completely wrong and our professor would have to reteach it because my class was so confused. Even some of the problems we had to do for homework contained errors that often times make the problem unsolvable. I am thoroughly surprised that an expensive textbook such as this can be released that is so bad and has so many errors. I do not recommend buying this if you don’t need it.

⭐Teaches the foundations of logic and gets into some complex problems and examples as well. Very well rounded book.

⭐I paid the 122.00 for this book because it was required for a logic course. About a third of the way through it begins to contain major errors in the text, including misstating equations. Also the online solution pages are littered with errors and each page has an “errata” link you need to keep open to check for mistakes in the solutions. You would think at this price they would have someone doing a better job of editing and proofing. It’s very frustrating.

⭐Clean, polished rigor. What’s not to love? A nice intro to its fascinating subject! And for a text book, it feels good in the hand.

⭐The book itself has raised contention for accuracy in some earlier (and definitely the later edition – the 6th) due to majorly flawed editing. I am told by my professor that the transfer of manuscript from a different publisher to the current one may explain why it went undetected; the text may have been considered publishable without much reviewing. The 5th edition turns out to be the least questionable of all, I am told both online and in person. The book itself is good, the explanations and examples not always the best — as it is with some books, but sufficient for understanding the concepts. I believe that the book could be adequately separated as a textbook and an activity book. [A recommendation anyhow…] On the whole, if you need it, rather than spending the ridiculous RRP, look around for it on the marketplace or rent the online version. The content is highly analytic and not literary. Some may feel lost in the reading, so do read alongside watching tutorials online and putting actual pen to paper practice.

⭐Good..
