Description

The Vatican announces that the Virgin Mary will return to Lourdes this year to perform a miracle cure! Will it be a miracle? Or will it be a fraud? Precious lives, loves, and happiness are at stake: Ken Clayton: the young American who abandons medical treatment for the chance of miracle; Edith Moore: the Englishwoman whose miracle cure has made her famous against her will; Gisele Dupree, the French girl whose desperation to escape Lourdes will lead to violence; Liz Finch: the hard-bitten journalist who wants to “expose” Lourdes and its miracles…

At the climax comes a surprise twist that only master storyteller Irving Wallace could pull off.

First published in 1984 The Miracle has everything we expect from Wallace at his best: rich, authentic detail, fast-paced plotting, suspense, and vivid characters.

⭐ Great Book. I had read this before but it still grabs you. Keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. There are some characters, you would like to smack across the face for their attitude but that is what makes this a great story. According to a journal found that was fritten but Saint Bernadette, the Virgin Mary is to return to Lourdes during a particular 8 days and someone will be granted a mircle. All believers and non believers flock to Lourdes to see this great event. Some with good intentions and some with evil. Like I said a good book

⭐ I enjoyed the book, but it was a bit drawn out. At times I felt that the author was paid by the word. Miracles do happen. I’d love to go to Lourdes myself to offer prayers for my loved ones.

⭐ This outstanding novel had me “in the dark” until the very end. I couldn’t figure out how Mr. Wallace was going to end it. A very outstanding end. However, as much as I enjoyed reading this book, I was a little depressed that it did end. I am reading more of Irving Wallace’s works and I have high hopes that they will be as good as “The Miracle”.

⭐ Read.this long ago. When I read Wallace I kn9w the characters are fictional but I still think they are real perfect blend of fiction and fact well researched but with wonderful story telling

⭐ Great novel, well documented. I could not stop reading it. One of the best novels by Wallace. I recommend it !!

⭐ Riveting, thought provoking.

⭐ Excelent book, I have read it twice and in both cases I enjoyed it a lot.

⭐ I loved the interaction of the characters. I know there are “real”people who feel just like most of them did.His style of writing is most enjoyable.

⭐ Very interesting book with unexpected twists. I enjoyed reading this book.

⭐ Interesting story, wanted to continue reading.
