⭐Excellent and very helpful advice! I wish I had been able to have this insight and help given to me when I was starting out in figuring out a career path. It’s a must read!!

⭐This is a great read by an interesting author. You might see the title or cover and think not to get this book because you don’t want to change careers, etc. and this doesn’t apply to me, you will say. Well, it’s a great book to learn and to grow from and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to plain just get better in life. It’s for every situation. I lost my job due to the Covid 19 of today and I am looking for work these days, and at 50 years old now on top of that, where it’s a pretty interesting situation I am in. I was doing a great job at my last employment. But it ended and it wasn’t because I screwed up and was let go because I was a bad graphic designer. I guess that’s life as an artist, right? I do have the talent, but I just need now the opportunity to continue on. This book teaches you how to find that opportunity in easy to understand words by this author with a little bit of salt and pepper to make it more flavorful, so to speak. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to earn an edge on the job market and continue to be successful. This book is about that. It will give you a blueprint that is smart. I want to stay in this wonderful field I was/am in because I love it. It will happen ASAP. The Proximity Principle Book will get me to that glorious finish line. Thank you Ken Coleman.

⭐The Proximity Principle was an okay read, though I feel that the conclusions are common sense wrapped up in cute little anecdotes. I was a bigger fan of From Paycheck to Purpose, to be honest. If you haven’t read any business or self-improvement books in the last twenty years and you pick up this book, you might learn something. If you are imbued with a modicum of common sense this book isn’t really necessary. Just listen to his podcast. It’s not a BAD book, I just wanted more out of it and it felt a little shallow. Go deeper next time!

⭐It took me over a month to read because this is not an ordinary book. This is a book that requires you to take notes and soak in all the information that he has to offer you. He shows you how to get to the right people and places. He lays it out step by step in each Chapter. I call this a Summer must-read because he will show you how to get ahead in your current career. This is quite a page-turner. There was nothing I did not like about this book because this was a book that it was easier to take notes on. I had this on a Kindle so I did so much copying and pasting that there did come a time that you were limited. So, my suggestion also is have a hard copy of the book because you will need it for highlighting and taking notes. There were so many quotes I loved in the book. Here’s a quote from his book: “traditional networking events are not an effective venue for making worthwhile connections. These events are designed to give job seekers the opportunity to meet business professionals in the hopes that you will hit it off and make such a great first impression that it will lead to a job interview. It’s like speed dating for business.”

⭐Definitely worth getting

⭐Great book and advice from Ken Coleman. Supplement your reading by listening to his podcast, The Ken Coleman Show, if you are serious about tackling a career path. This book is a manual for making a plan and following it long term. The methods in this text will lead you to developing meaningful relationships and habits that will lead to a career that matters to you and is fulfilling. It is not a get quick results, feel good, you’ll be successful in a year scam.Ken is honest and methodical in his approach. This is a great motivator to start you on the right path while being thankful for where you currently are. Adopt an attitude of gratitude, get started by taking the first step towards your dream job, get in proximity, and Press On!

⭐For nearly 5 years now (literally), I have been actively searching for a new job. I’ve practically made a second career out of creating resumes, writing cover letters, and using all those “number-one-job-sites” to contact people I didn’t know, in places I didn’t know; giving up on any thoughts of a dream job or just a new job in the process.I pre-ordered this book on a Sunday, it shipped Monday, and I received and completed it that Tuesday. I literally could not put it down. It hit me right where I was in my career-hunting “process,” and gave me a glimpse of hope for the future with practical steps and things to do to press on.If you’re in a similar spot, I not only encourage you to buy and read this book, I suggest you check out Ken’s website (kencoleman.com) for more resources on how to get into a job you love.

⭐finished reading it in maybe 4ish hours. really encouraging with step by step instruction on how to improve not just your “day job” prospects but how to strategically get to your dream job. loads of examples from all kinds of walks of life, even personal ones from his own experiences. very helpful, with his own resources mentioned here and there to help execute whatever step of the principle he illustrates. it’s a common sense principle, he even admits, and he’s not pretending to be groundbreaking. his tone is genuinely helpful and encouraging, not self-plugging or condescending. really enjoyed it and will definitely be trying out his strategies.

⭐Solid career advice that youve probably heard before. This could have been a series of blog posts, but I understand why a book was necessary. The real challenge is actually applying this stuff.

⭐There are many nuggets of wisdom in this book. I like that the author has a Christian background and this comes through some of the chapters. I would recommend it.

⭐Not found.

⭐Pretty good, not really anything new.Good ideas though.
