    Description

A captivating look into the medieval (and modern day) society of the Knights Templar The Templar Code is more than an intriguing cipher or a mysterious symbol – it’s the Code by which the Knights Templar lived and died, the Code that bound them together in secrecy, and the Code that inspired them to nearly superhuman feats of courage and endurance. If you know a little or a lot about the Templars, read The Da Vinci Code (or saw the movie), or are a Catholic wanting to know the church’s official stance on the Templars, you’re in the right place. The Templar Code For Dummies reveals the meaning behind the cryptic codes and secret rituals of the medieval brotherhood of warrior monks known as the Knights Templar. With this comprehensive and user-friendly guide, you’ll learn: What part the Knights Templar played in the Crusades How the Order started as protectors of pilgrims The myths of the Holy Grail, and how they’re connected to the Knights Templar How the Knights Templar rose so high and fell so far How the fraternity of the Freemasons’ modern Order of Knights Templar figures in Why the Catholic Church didn’t like Dan Brown’s version of the Templar story The Catholic Church’s relationship with women and the connection with the Knights Why the Knights Templar still captures our imagination today Whether the Knights had a real part to play in historic events such as the French Revolution and the American Civil War You can learn about all of that and so much more, including sites where the Holy Grail might actually be, what you can’t miss if you’re sightseeing in Templar territory, and potential hiding places of Templar treasures. ⭐Christopher Hodapp, the author of “Freemasons for Dummies”, has come up with another excellent reference in “The Templar Code for Dummies”. Written in the standard “for Dummies” format, Christopher Hodapp, writing with Alice Von Kannon, offers seventeen chapters and multiple sections that discuss the history, rise, fall, and legends of the Knights Templar.”The Templar Code for Dummies” is useful for Freemasons as it draws parallels and shows the divisions between the Masonic Order of the Knights Templar, and the historical Knights Templar. Throughout the book, there are also “Dan Brown Alerts” which alert the reader to Templar topics that have to do specifically with the works of author Dan Brown (primarily “The Da Vinci Code); and the “Templar Code for Dummies” serves to dispel many of the myths being fostered by “Internet Templars” (those who claim the title of knight and Templar based on a click of a mouse and their membership in an on-line forum). No matter what your interest in the Knights Templar, “The Templar Code for Dummies” will almost certainly have something to peak your interest. If you are interested in Templar history, there is plenty of it in this book. Interested in the Templar quest for the Holy Grail? There is something about that here too. Did the Church suppress the `Divine Feminine’, and is this what the secret found by the Templars? Chapter 13, discusses this Truth or Feminist Fiction. And… if you are a Freemason of the Scottish or York Rite, this book is essential reading.Easy to read, informative, and entertaining. “The Templar Code for Dummies” is Highly Recommended.

⭐Chris points out some of the myths about the Knights Templar. He gives a decent history of the order and how it evolved. He also talks about the politics of the times between the papacy and the monarchs. He also talks about that fateful Friday the 13th in 1307 that brought down the Templars under false charges. He also brings in the purported ties to modern Freemasonry and supposed links to Opus Dei, the Illumanati and other so-called secret societies.

⭐Excellent historical research in an entertaining fashion. Everything you need to know about the Templars and the real story behind the myths and fictions pushed by hacks like Dan Brown. If you are convinced Dan Brown is an actual historian, you won’t like this book. If you know better, you’ll love it.

⭐Being a Brother, I really enjoyed this book, it gives you a lot to think about, I found it interesting, and it answered some great questions.I will read it again and use it for reference.

⭐The knights templar. Now there is a loaded subject! The templar code for dummies covers all you need to know about the basic information out there on the templars. If your looking for something more indepth look elsewhere.

⭐Excellent book, well written. Clearly defines what is opinion, documented fact, and commonly held tenets. Rare these days when everyone seems to present their opinions as facts, regardless of the lack of substantiation.

⭐This book is easily read. It laid out well and flows from one subject to the next easily. This is a necessary read for any student of the period and for anyone interested in the masonic story of the Templars. Generally historically accurate.

⭐I have enjoyed the concise history as written in this book. Highly recommended if you have an interest in Masonry, the Inquisition, the Crusades, or the lore of the Templars.

⭐A book for all FM Buffs with an interesting insight into secret Masonic Preceptories during the Crusades. Highly recommended reading for one and all.

⭐This history is definatly fun.Would advise getting any for DUMMIES books to learn anything you want to know, but do not have the patience to do anything other than light bedtime reading!
