Description

11-year-old Josh and 12-year-old Amanda just moved into the oldest and weirdest house on the block–the two siblings think it might even be haunted! But of course, their parents don’t believe them. You’ll get used to it, they say. Go out and make some new friends.

But the creepy kids are not like anyone Josh and Amanda have ever met before. And when they take a shortcut through the cemetery one night, Josh and Amanda learn why.

⭐ Oh what a lovely beginning to a huge cult classic such as Goosebumps. Growing up in the nineties was one of the best things ever and R.L. Stine was definitely a huge part of my childhood. As much as I hate to admit, I’ve only read read about five or six Goosebumps books over the course of my life. I loved the ones that I’ve read but I always seemed to lean towards the Fear Street series more. So this is my first time reading Welcome To Dead House and I absolutely loved it.I love that most Goosebumps books have a twist to them. A turn of events that the reader doesn’t see coming. I’m really good at figuring books out but this one, a simple Goosebumps book, actually surprised me. I did not expect the twist and I honestly thought that the story was heading in a completely different direction. The only thing I didn’t like about Welcome To Dead House was Josh. He was super annoying and I just wanted to smack him and tell him to hush.Other than the one annoying character, I loved this book and love that the series began with a bang.Rating: 4 Stars.

⭐ K is starting to get into the Goosebumps thing which I find to be just awesome. I grew up reading Goosebumps and loved them so to see that one of my children is reading them is just amazing.K and I read about a chapter or two a night before bedtime and he is always asking if I can read one more chapter. With Welcome to Dead House we are introduced to Amanda and Josh who will be moving to a new place called Dark Falls (which I love the name) when they first see their new home it isn’t what they expect it to be. The house is old and the street just seems dark and creepy, it also doesn’t help that Amanda is seeing someone in her bedroom window but who is it?When they move in Amanda is starting to see things and to top it off their family dog Petey is not acting normal but her parents do not believe her or her brother. What is really Dark Falls and is it a safe place to live? When you find out what goes on within Dark Falls you can’t help but go wow didn’t think of that as you might have thought they were something else instead. This author does a wonderful job with not only the characters but also the scenes. They have that creep factor to them which is perfect.Question and Answer with K.1. Did you like this Goosebumps book?”Yes I did it wasn’t scary.2. Would you recommend this book to your friends?”Yes as all of my friends in my class read these books”3. Did you have a favorite part?” I liked all of it.”

⭐ I bought this for my niece because her mom lets her read these. Disclaimer: some of these books can be a bit scary for young readers so make sure you know the child can handle it. Our daughter would never sleep again if she read these, lol

⭐ My son is eleven and I have NEVER seen him interested in reading anything…except the goosebumps. Ive seen him devour these books and when he reads to me a favorite passage, I immediatley noticed his reading and vocabulary skills improve almost overnight. With these books he really is enjoying reading. These books takes him to a whole different world filled with adventure and disgusting monitors or spooky ghosts only an eleven year old would enjoy. And it’s way better than his face locked on to an iPad or iPhone. At least with a book he is exercising his mind and imagination.

⭐ I’m not a huge Goodebumps fan and never have been. My 9 year old nephew and 12 year old niece enjoyed the book. Some parts scared the 9 year old a little bit.

⭐ Book came in and looks great. Cannot wait for my son to begin to read it. Would order again from seller.

⭐ My kid has been reading Nu Goosebumps so I bought her this book to show her oldschool Goosebumps. I had actually read quite a few of the Goosbumps series before I got to this book as a youngun, and I remember being surprised by how much darker in tone it seemed to be than the others. It actually creeped me out. I think there’s some violence and actual death in this one as well.So there you go, out of all the Goosebumps books I’ve read this is the only one that has some balls.

⭐ Read these books as a kid. Now collecting them to share with my kids. Love R. L. Stein.

⭐ I bought these for my seven-year-old grandson who loves to read. I Purchased the first five in the series and he’s hooked. Looks like I’ll be buying the rest!

⭐ I finished the book on kindle in a couple hours(which I supposed it is already long for light writing like this) R.L. Stine’ s stuff is fun and excited for YA but the characters seemed not complicated enough. I’m going to check his other writings out if anyone can give me recommendation on his best ones to compare and contrast him with Stephen King.
