⭐Sierra Christie is an investigative reporter who is convinced that the Governor of the State, Joe Basnight, is funnelling money out of the state budgets and into his own pocket. After following him, Sierra lands herself in the biggest trouble of her life, because she uncovers the secret of “Sleuth”, an entire hamlet of nothing but bear shifters. Joe Basnight is the Alpha of Sleuth, but even he doesn’t quite know what to do with her. On one hand, he is very attracted to her, but on the other her knowledge of his people puts everyone at risk. Half of the citizens of Sleuth want Sierra either turned or killed, the other half trust Joe to keep her in check. Regardless of who wins, Sierra’s life has changed irrevocably.I struggled on whether to give this book 3 or 4 stars, eventually settling on three. I enjoyed the character of Sierra and especially the secondary character of her roommate. However, I felt Joe was a tad one-dimensional, and because he was suppose to be an Alpha bearshifter, a bit weak. I expect someone with that type of power – both as an Alpha and the Governor – to be a little more forceful and decisive. Amor took great pains to show him as a polished, civilized Yuppie type, and she may have leaned too much that way.The other problem I had was this story read as two separate books. It is very possible that it WAS two separate stories at one time and was just now being published as one. If that is the case, the reader needs to know this up front, so there isn’t the “WHAT?” moments. Right in the middle the story jumped from Sierra and Joe supposedly reaching their happy ending to Sierra shifting and them hunting. Obviously some time had passed, but no explanation was given to bridge the gap. The story flowed right from one resolution into another problem, but they were totally unrelated to one another.A serious plot hole existed. Sierra was trapped in her office by Eric in his bear form. In his effort to kill her, he and she totally destroyed her office – holes in the wall, broken furniture, etc. However, NO mention was made of the mess. How did they cover it up for the people coming to work the next day? How did they explain a bear in an office building? How did they explain Sierra being in the hospital? I was mentioned that Joe bought her a new desk, but that was just the tip of the iceberg as far as the destruction that was done. The entire book was about covering up the existence of shifters and then a major event happens and nothing is done?I was a little puzzled by the second story. This really vicious enemy appears and everyone across the shifter world is just having an incredibly hard time dealing with him. My solution would have been a sniper with a sweet long-range rifle. I wouldn’t have puzzled on how to take care of him, I would have just shot him. Guess that was too easy of a solution, but the second story was better than the first and much more cohesive.I enjoyed the book, and probably will try another one by this author. As I said, I did struggle with the rating, but felt the segmented, disjointed feel to the stories was enough of a reason to bring the rating down to 3 stars.

⭐Wow! This book is Awesome! The characters of Joe, Sierra, and Molly interact with ease. You could invite them over for dinner. The characters of Eric and Dorrian, you want to either take them out behind the barn or to the nearest Police Station. Sierra finds out about Joe being a Bear and the town of Sleuth, bear town. Eric, his second, doesn’t agree how Joe handles it. He goes to Sierra and Molly’s apartment and trashes it. He also beats Molly. Molly is a painter, who has an art show coming up renamed “Home Invasion”. Eric comes by and chases Sierra through town as a Bear. Pictures are taken of the bear and Sierra is hurt. She wrote an article for the paper about a pet bear who got loose. This is just a brief encounter of this situation. This story is chocked full of goodness. Happy Reading I received this book for an honest review.

⭐I enjoyed this story quite a lot. It had features like many another romance except of course with fur, and I mean no bad when I claim it to be kinda cheesy…I figure HEAs really have to have that. It had excitement, and I was pretty happy to note that some of the heroine’s life changes were included in the story, a bit of background noise not always included, unfortunately. *spoiler alert* I absolutely loved that the hero was NOT the protagonist! Well, except in a secondary way, and that all of the packs finally had a way to work together. Oh, and we all learned, once again, that it’s not nice to force a gal to accept your moves and that it’s downright stupid to piss off a smart one.

⭐ReviewThe story of Sierra and Joe is a good one. There is plenty of excitement and romance, and some great characters to get to know.The story line is interesting and organic. I enjoyed the twists and surprises almost as much as the romances that sprung up. The characters are natural and well-written, with their own strengths and weaknesses. And the setting is easy to envision.This book is a fun read and I highly recommend it. If you like shifter books or romances, you’ll enjoy Her Bear in Mind.

⭐You’d never know till you walked in their shoes what it means to be shifter. They say curiosity killed the cat well a news reporter is almost as bad. Wrong time bad place. Following her story Sierra Christie just knew that Joe the politician is hiding something what that is she’s going to find . This was a great read fast moving something’s you didn’t see coming..

⭐Excellent reading experience with characters that draws you into the story and plenty of drama,suspense,complications,and steamy scenes. I love paranormal romance shifter stories and this doesn’t disappoint you. I’m recommending that you check it out and her other books for yourself.

⭐I loved the characters, I like the story line and would love to see more books with the same characters in it by the same author. The end was great I would like to know what happens next in Sierra and Joe life and their child. I think shifter readers would love this book.

⭐The start is rather abrupt and cliche. A reporter willing to do anything for a story. Said reporter finds out that the governor is a bear shifter and that he is protecting a town full of shifters. The romance is very well done. Joe is forced to deal with his alpha duties and his heart. A good read.

⭐Well, Maria you’ve done it again. Up all night, knowing that I have got to get some sleep but can’t put down the iPad because I wanted to know what happened next. Eric was a complete a-hole you just have to read the book to know that the idiot couldn’t let sleeping bears lie, honestly you’ll know exactly what I mean!Joe just never gets the break that he’s been looking for right until the last page. The two girls don’t get any peace at all! One of them rakes so much money out of a bad situation ( you really start to wonder if you could get away with it yourself )!!!The other young girl can’t do right for doing wrong. She finds her forever man, just in time to be kidnapped by a boss from hell! My goodness doesn’t that name have a good head to sit on.I’m not going to spoil this book anymore,please read and enjoy!With only one more thing to say, get those 6 PlayBoyShifters into your bed at night and then try and get some sleep! I dare you!!!!!!!TTFN ( ta ta for now! ). Love from Sam xxxxx
