⭐ This is a story about a simply marvelous female character who finds herself in a death-defyingly dangerous situation. She is forced to enter the world of gangsters and use all her acting skills to stay alive while she gathers enough intel to put the bad guys away. She is a very believable real-life hero, a refreshing change from the usual super spies with guns, gadgets and martial arts training. Read it, you’ll be as surprised as I was.

⭐ I started reading what amounted to a boring soap opera story. This pile of crap is 90+ chapters. You read thru 11 chapters of movie star soap b4 you even get to the murder. BORING!! After 3 chapters I was quickly paging through just glancing at the words. After the murder I could only read about 3 more skimming chapters b4 I couldn’t handle any more of this drivel. Absolutely one of the WORST EVER. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

⭐ You are over 20% into book before the main character witnesses the crime. 99% of the book before that event is not relevant or add to the story, only the size of the book. The story should have started @ the awards night. It’s very predictable-with internet these days it would be easy & quick to verify information about the sister, the fact her main confident did not worry about her missing was a giveaway & while the main villain used the past tense so did her so called sister(“..so you were a good influence..”).Very disappointed. Would not recommend to others to read.

⭐ This author always holds your attention

⭐ I enjoyed this book, it kept me guessing. I have just read a few of Stephen leathers books and I have enjoyed them all, especially the jack nightingale series.

⭐ An excellent read only slightly tainted by a rather ‘rushed’ ending. I enjoyed this book; it kept me entertained and I do recommend it, it’s just not his best.

⭐ If this book was written by Stephan Leather then I am Alfred E Neumann.

⭐ Seemed pointless and rambling narrative. Another one which didn’t grab my interest due to monotonous skipping around, no flow of imagery, fragmented.

⭐ Another un-put-down-able book from Stephen Leather. You can see the characters in your mind’s eye and the plot hangs together very well.

⭐ Nice insight in the world of drama. The plot kept me entertained but it became soon obvious what was cooking.
