⭐ I didn’t like this story as well as S.E. Smith’s other stories. I get the impression the two heroes were really not that nice other than to the heroine and a few of their close friends. Usually the “good guys” are people you could see yourself being friends with, but these two have a coldness to them that just doesn’t appeal.I also had a hard time believing a virgin would jump into such seriously x-rated sex, especially when a few pages prior to that she was freaking out because the stylists cut six inches off her hair and tried to put a little makeup on her. It was just out of character, and I’m surprised the author wrote it that way since she’s normally so meticulous about characterizations and world-building.Also, it was never explained how the person who “cursed” her could possibly have the power to do so. Nor was the whole corporate espionage thing explored, so why even bother putting it in the story? Mostly, this story just kind of felt like a bunch of disparate pieces haphazardly pasted together. And while S.E. Smith is a good enough writer that she can patch them together and make the story believable, that doesn’t necessarily mean they belong together if you know what I mean.

⭐ S E Smith has fast become one of my favorite romance authors. She always portrays such strong, wonderful characters and this book is no different. If you’re not into the unexplained or paranormal, then don’t bother stopping here, but if you enjoy fantasy as much as I do, then you can’t go wrong with any of her stories. Ms. Smith has a way of adding such depth and emotion to what, in this case, should be a completely unbelievable and smexy threesome, but she always manages to add an actual story that somehow makes the journey magical.From the first time Rune died, she keeps coming back with a mission. She finally found her home as the guardian angel to an orphange she cares deeply for in the form of a statue in the garden. As the years pass by, and technology changes, the orphange decides to renovate and auction the statue to help pay for a new playground for the kids. Rune is heartbroken, but that quickly turns to anger when she finds herself purchased by two arrogant russian billionaires. Rune knows she was sent to them for a reason, but she doesn’t have a clue what it is. This time around is very different than her usual experiences and she knows that this is likely the last mission she will ever have. As she spends time with Sergei and Dimitri, her ire quickly turns to intrigue and ultimately love as she experiences a life she never thought possible, if only for a short while.If you’ve never read SE Smith’s stories, you’re in for a treat. This particular series is the only one that has menage a trois and she handles it with skill and sensualtiy. She’s very diverse in the books she brings to her fans and I love every single one of them for their uniqueness, whether it be hilarity, the wit, the intensity, the sorrow and anything in between. This is definitely one of her more serious stories without the laugh out loud moments. Quite the contrary, there is definitely a shadow that looms as we watch the clock tick, but HEA, she still manages to deliver.

⭐ When I first read and finished “Lily’s Cowboys” I didn’t think Ms. Smith could top it but I fell it love with the story so much I was looking forward to the next story. And, boy, did she do it. The concept of each story is so fantastic. Each book is a complete story and after finishing “Touching Rune” I sure hope it won’t be another year before “Challenging Dalla” is released.Rune is such a tragic young lady who has had so much happen to her; she truly deserved the two men who fell in love with her. And as for Sergei and Dimitri, their rough and deprived lives had earned both of them a HEA.I have read all of Ms. Smith’s books and the only other one that really touched me was “Grace’s Touch” (the first and so far the only story of the Zion Warriors series). Kordon Jefe is the H and he is a marvelously written character. Not to take away from the h Gracie but I truly loved how Ms. Smith created him.If you haven’t read any of Ms. Smith books I think the Heaven Sent series would be a very good place to start.

⭐ I can’t speak highly enough about the stories crafted by S.E. Smith. You laugh, you smile and grin and then you wait while holding your breath for the plot to resolve into a happy ending. I always know that it will happen but how she takes us there is always a fun ride.Rune shows when people need help and stays until she isn’t needed any longer. After working with nuns at an orphan’s home she is given the privilege of remaining to watch over the children as a garden statue. When the orphanage is closed, the statue is sold to raise money for a park for children. Rune starts her new life as a statue in an indoor garden of a mansion in Russia. Her owners are two Russian billionaire businessmen who are family to each other. What difference can a garden angel make in their lives? You will not regret reading this book to find out. I loved it!

⭐ I love this book so much, I really want the sequel with Dalla! Susan has the most wonderful imagination, so creative. I’ve read all your books, / but this one is one of my favorites. The series books are great and fun,but usually the first story is the one most enjoyable to me. Keep the creativity alive and flowing S.E.Smith, I love your heart,and how generously you share it……….

⭐ What a surprise S E Smith gave us for Christmas! I only knew about this for the last month or so from the hints on her FB page. I started this Christmas morning before everyone got up, had to wait until after the day’s festivities to pick it up again. I couldn’t put it down until I had finished. Loved the story and Rune. What a great main character for this story. I never give out spoilers or rehash the books description. That said even though it’s in the Heaven sent series, it’s not related to any of the characters in book one. This story stands on its own. Micha too was such an essential part of the story I thought even though he wasn’t one of the main characters. Enough said – go read it!

⭐ I have every single book Ms. Smith has written and see no reason why she would not continue as an automatic buy. I still buy the books and then wait to read them – weird I know but I kind of like to know I have a book waiting for me in my to read list so I don’t have to wait too long for the next book. I like the different world Ms. Smith has written and she creates characters that you really care about. I am also very partial to the fact that all of her books are complete and contain a HEA. My pet peeve is cliff hanger books. But best of all is that we haven’t had to wait too long between books, I am very grateful that she is such a quick writer. Now all I have to do is wait for the next book, buy it and then not read it for a while ……. or maybe this time, after the teasers on her website, I won’t be able to wait.

⭐ Touching Rune is another reason to read everything S E Smith writes. After I read the book I purchased the audio novel. I just wish that the story continued. I love Viking women, great plot twist on the Vikings religious views. Russian men maybe my new crush.

⭐ Touching Rune is the second book of the Heaven Sent series and it was awesome (in my opinion).In this story our heroine is Rune and just like Lily she is a traveling soul going from place to place until she is needed somewhere else.But that is the only thing about Rune and Lily that are same. I loved Rune and Sergi and Dimitri have met their match.Again this was for me a heart warming, toe tingling , suspenseful, break out the tissue then start laughing wonderful story. I have read all of S.E.Smith’s books and I have yet to be disappointed. Oh wait I’m lying yes I have…..I am disappointed when I see these two words “The End” because I always want more, yes I am greedy like that *wink*.

⭐ I loved this story. I purchased this book because it was the second in the series I had enjoyed so far. While different from the first, it stands alone and could even be considered as the first in a new series.The premise of the storyline is the same, a woman dies in another time and becomes an Angel sent through history to help those who need it. This second book differs as it provides more background on the Angel and leaves us wanting to find out what will happen next.A feisty heroine, some strong alpha males and a crazy villain all lead up to an ending I didn’t expect. Not to mention the hot love scenes spread through the book. Great job, I can’t wait for the next one.
