Description
Aislinn never wants to see another doctor. Their painful and pointless treatments have done nothing to improve her rapidly deteriorating health. She hopes that the staff of Wiccan Haus can at least offer a change of scene, if not a return of a little of her former strength. She’s delighted to meet Punda, a masseuse, on her arrival and charmed by the cottage in the apple orchard where she will stay.
Dr. Hugo Peralta visits the island at the insistence of his boss. The distinguished brain surgeon is in desperate need of a respite before overwork makes him one of his own patients. He is surprised but pleased with the privacy and serenity of his cottage–across the orchard from Aislinn’s. An idyllic location on a magical island where love can blossom–if the Rowans can help the trio save Aislinn from whatever is killing her.

⭐ Thank you, Kate Richards!! You don’t find too many e-roms that feature f/f/m romances. Up until this point I have read only one. I mentioned this in a comment on FB and someone replied to it and told me about “An Apple Away.” I enjoyed this very, very much. I was pleased with the characters and the story. Shifters, evil stepmothers, witches…what’s not to like.I was also excited by this book because it not only includes bisexual women and some really hot scenes, but there are also people of color. Finally!! Interestingly enough, the same week I got this I discovered another writer who has mixed racial couples.”An Apple Away” introduced me to “The Wiccan Haus” series and to Kate Richards. I’m looking forward to reading more.
⭐ This mystery is set in the orchards on the Wiccan Haus Island. I enjoyed the love triangle between Aislinn, Hugo, and Punda. Another great Wiccan Haus story!
⭐ Book 3, explores all kinds of magic, from love to believing, to healing against black magic. This book covers it all, I’m sure you will find what you are looking for in this series.
⭐ Unique take on the whole evil stepmother thing. As always, I was excited to see more of the Wiccan Haus. It’s such a unique setting.
⭐ I have to admit I had no clue what to expect with this addition to the Wiccan Haus series. You see I was a bit thrown by the title. However, the cover certainly gave a few clues, two gorgeous women, a man and a lion. The story would prove to be interesting if nothing else. I have to admit I didn’t read the book blurb before reading the story or perhaps I’d of made a few associations. Never the less, I wouldn’t have pegged the story as one of a ménage from the blurb. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. An Apple Away has three main characters Aislinn, Hugo and Punda. While you don’t get a whole heck of a lot of back-story on either of the women you do get a bit more on Hugo. What you don’t get in back-story however you do get in their interactions with each other and others. Aislinn is sick with an undiagnosed illness that is eating away at her. She’s sick and tired of doctors, their treatments and their poking and prodding with no results. Listless and weary she has come to Wiccan Haus for rest and relaxation if nothing else. Even through the debilitation of the disease, however you are able to see the fun loving disposition that lives beneath the surface. Almost from the moment of meeting both Punda and Hugo she is drawn to them.Punda is of what appears to be an Indian heritage. She is a masseuse at the Wiccan Haus assigned to Aislinn as her personal care taker during her stay. She is upbeat, caring and loving with a great sense of humor. She also has an attraction to both Aislinn and Hugo, which she feels she has to put on the back burner because it appears to her that the two are meant for each other. Punda is also a were lion that has lost her pride.Hugo is a leading brain surgeon from Argentina that works overly long hours in a charity hospital. His boss has decided he needs a vacation so he arranges a trip to the Wiccan Haus with threats to Hugo’s job if he doesn’t go. If you think this will deter the doctor from working though, think again. He is dead set to work on medical journals and the like while away from the hustle and bustle of the hospital. That is until he meets two lovely women and the nature of the island thwarts his efforts. Hugo has a hard time turning off the doctor in him as he continually analyses and guesses at what is ailing Aislinn. In an attempt to head off any possible suits for practicing medicine away from Argentina, he keeps his status as a doctor a secret. The three are brought together in their secluded apple orchard on the island by a mutual wish to heal Aislinn and an attraction to each other that they all feel. Whether one believes the cause is science in the form of poison or magic in the form of a spell, it’s obvious there is someone with evil intent behind what’s going on. One thing is certain though; these three will get to the bottom of the matter and prevail.I enjoyed An Apple Away and think it was a great addition to the Wiccan Haus series. As always I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next… shifters, vampires, witches, the fae… it seems the possibilities might be endless.I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
⭐ Aislinn hopes her visit to Wiccan Haus, a last ditch effort to improve her deteriorating health, works. She is delighted to meet Punda, a masseuse, and a shifter, on her arrival and is charmed by the cottage in the apple orchard where she will stay. And to be honest she does begin to feel a bit stronger.Dr. Hugo Peralta, of Argentina, is visiting the island on the insistence of his boss. The distinguished brain surgeon needs respite before he burns out. He is pleased with the privacy of his cottage and even more so when he realizes he is across from the lovely young lady he met on the ferry. He doesn’t believe in magic and is about to get a lesson that will blow his mind.A major complaint would be that I didn’t see a warning of a ménage anywhere. I am not against it but I do like to be warned. Punda has an immediate attraction to Aislinn and finds it reciprocated and both are attracted to Hugo who in turn is attracted to both ladies. The mystery of Aislinn’s illness is handled very neatly … not a surprise when who her “mother” really is but you will have to read the book to know what I mean. The Wiccan Haus staff is their usual mysterious selves with magic galore. This might not be my favorite, though it was well written with interesting main characters, but it is a good addition to the series.
⭐ My Thoughts – 4 out of 5 Unicorns – I really liked it!!!***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest reviewThis is the 3rd book in the Wiccan Haus series, and it is novella length about 90 pages long. It is for adults only due to the steamy content. It is not necessary to read the books in order, but you may understand Wiccan Haus and the Rowans better if you have read the first 2 books. I really enjoy this series, and it is written by many authors. This is my first time reading Kate Richards. I will definitely have to look for more because I enjoyed her writing.Aislinn is suffering from an illness, but she has not given up. Punda works at Wiccan Haus and feels the need to protect her. Hugo is an overworked doctor who was forced to take a vacation. Their story is wonderful and pulled me right in. I don’t want to give anything, but apple is so appropriate in many ways.I recommend this book to all the fans of Wiccan Haus and the series to all paranormal romance fans because there is a lot to enjoy 🙂
⭐ Another wonderful story in the Wiccan Haus series! Aislinn was wasting away. She came to the Wiccan Haus to heal, renew. The siblings believe that they can help her. Aislinn is willing to try what they suggest- as long as it doesn’t involve any physicians. She’s had more than her fair share of them, and with no success for her condition. Hugo (aka Dr. Peralta) has come to the island for a forced period of rest and relaxation. When he 1st meets Aislinn on the boat over, her is drawn to her, first for her wasting condition and then for the strength that he sees that she possesses. She is drawn to him and to Punda as well, who is tasked with helping with her care. Can the island and the siblings truly help her and heal her, and how with the good doctor and Punda fit into all of this? Welcome back to the Wiccan Haus. A very good sexy story by Kate Richards. I can’t wait to read more from her!
⭐ An Apple Away is another thrilling installment in the multi-author series, The Wiccan Haus. Aislinn is wasting away due to a disease which no medical doctor can find the cause of nor a treatment for. She no longer has faith in the medical profession and books a stay at the Wiccan Haus for alternative methods of healing and relaxation. When she arrives, she meets Punda, a beautiful woman with a hidden wild side who is a Wiccan Haus employee, and Hugo, a man with his own secret. When the healers at the Wiccan Haus uncover the cause of Aislinn’s illness, she is horrified. Can the love between Hugo, Aislinn, and Punda break the spell which is slowly and ruthlessly killing Aislinn?Just to let readers know up front, An Apple Away involves a love story between three consenting adults – two women and a man.Ms. Richards has written a beautiful piece set in the enchanting world of The Wiccan Haus. Filled with passion, romance, and magic (used for both good and evil), An Apple Away will captivate your senses and transport you away to the magical Wiccan Haus. I know, personally, it is a place I would love to visit. With classic themes and unconventional characters, Ms. Richards will enchant readers and leave them eager for the next chapter in the Wiccan Haus series. I do recommend starting at the beginning of the series with Dominique Eastwick’s Shifting Hearts for the full experience of the Wiccan Haus, but each story stands well on its own. Step away from the mundane and into the extraordinary with Ms. Richards’ An Apple Away.Wiccan Haus Series: Shifting Hearts (1), A Man Worth Fighting For (2), An Apple Away (3)
⭐ Title : An Apple Away (Wiccan Haus, #3)Author : Kate RichardsReviewed by : Stephanie Jordan*******************************************Ms. Richards is one of the many authors writing for this Series Wiccan Haus. I really love the way these Author’s with different tastes and style have written these stories which seems to all go together.Dr. Hugo Peralta loved his job. They all said he really needs to take vacation so he was booked into Wiccan Haus Resort and Spa putting him in the Orchard where his neighbor happens to be ill so maybe he can help.Aislinn’s friend advised her to go to the resort live a little because she didn’t know how many tomorrow’s she had left. Sick of all the tests and feeling like a pin cushion with not a clue what is wrong with her, and expecting to die, Aislinn decided to go . Punda was to look after Aislinn and was attacked to both Hugo and Aislinn but being an employee of the resort she has to be professional. Trying to put the two together after seeing Hugo and Aislinn are attracted to each other not realizing all three are attracted to each other. Yes it does get steamy, but so worth it. The healers realize what is happening to Aislinn and are shocked. Wonder what’s going on? I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review
