⭐Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas definitely deserves five stars in my book! I choose this rating because it’s a brilliant “lost story” and Michael Scott, again, delivers excellently. He keeps the characters in character, even when this isn’t technically part of the series. Overall, I loved it.I really liked the idea for the story. I mean, even the title is catchy! Billy is hilarious, and I love him, so I was very comfortable with the story, since it was told mostly in his view point. (Though in the third person.) I’m a huge fan of Michael Scott’s work, and this was definitely awesome to read, especially after reading the main series.I would recommend this product to fans of The Secrets Of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, and fans of Michael Scott. Fantasy readers would enjoy this too, but probably more if they read the series first, since this is a little add-on. I’m very happy with this book: I found it witty, action-packed, and interesting.Keep up the good work Michael Scott!

⭐My son and started reading the Alchemyst series a while back, and we both love the mix of mythology, fiction and history. Scott creates a rich world of characters (some of which I hope he returns to when this series is over). We also started reading the short stories to tide us over between books, and that’s where “Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas” comes in. We both really liked Billy’s character when he was introduced into the main story, so we were delighted to find a short story of his own.We were even happier to discover that it “co-stars” Scathach! This book fills in a little more of the back story of Billy as well as that of Scathach and her sister. The resolution seems to come a little quickly, but fans of the characters will not be left wanting for action. In fact this story makes me hope that Scott will decide to write further tales of the side characters from the Alchemyst series.

⭐An GREAT short story to go along with the amazing series “The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel” by Michael Scott. Focusing on two of the series’ most popular characters, Scathach and Billy the Kid, this “lost” story is set only a few short years before the main storyline of the 6 book series takes place. Billy and Scathach, who in the main series act as though they have never met, team up to take down some bloodsucking vampyres! And what better place to have savage vampyres controlling then the sin city of Las Vegas, NV? But, Scathach is after a bit more then revenge when she enlists the help of the Kid.This short companion story is fast paced and full of action! Scott does an amazing job of keeping the story moving along, while at the same time throwing in little bits that gives us some insight into why these two characters act the way they do when it comes to the main books.A fantastic quick read! Worth every penny!

⭐This is a short story book in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel book.Billy the Kid has been entrusted to deliver Pandora’s Pot to Scathach the Warrior. Scathach then recruits him on a little adventure. We find out more about the man that Scathach and her sister Aoife fell in love with and get to see a more vulnerable Scathach. In the end a friendship blossoms between Scathach and Billy the Kid. Both characters are great and the author has done a great job in developing them.I’m still not sure where exactly this story takes place because I remember Billy the Kid having this pot in his trunk in one of the first few books. I also know that he never led on that he knew who Scatach was in those books. But the author does do a nice job in covering that up by having Scathach tell Billy never to admit to knowing her. I think that perhaps the author has made plans to have them work together in the next book or so and is trying to form ties between them in this book to explain/ make sense of whatever happens in the next book. I have to say that Michael Scott’s writing is getting better and better with each book and I was really happy about that.Overall, this is a nice read, short, sweet and has made me miss the world Michael Scott has created. Nice addition to the series for sure.(

⭐An enjoyable little short fiction featuring a notorious American outlaw and some action. I like how the series incorporates elements from universal mythology with world history and such. It makes the world so much more interesting and intriguing.

⭐This novella could be read on its own, but it is really intended as a bonus story for fans of the Flamel series. In The Warlock (#5) we hear that Scathach & Billy the Kid had great adventures together. This novella is the first one. It tells how they met, fought monsters together and separately (including a boss), and went on from there. And since that’s a good stopping place, it stops. Plenty of action in a small package and insight for the (much) larger series.

⭐Daughter loves the book. She sat down for 2 days to read it! Highly recommend it. She is 12 y old

⭐I’ve always enjoyed novellas, especially those that give us more information on the characters we’ve come to know and love. This story focuses on how the two characters on opposing sides in present day, the immortal Billy the Kid and the incomparable Scathach, originally meet. Sent on an errand by his Elder master Queztalcoatl to deliver something to the Shadow, the Kid’s curiosity and good manners gets the better of him as he ends up accompanying Scathach to Vegas after she receives a mysterious phonecall for help.Like the rest of the series, there is a blend of seamless myth weaving and action-adventure that I’ve come to know and love from Michael Scott. In this short novella, I encountered ancient weaponry, learned the difference between Vampyres and Vampires (only the ones with a ‘y’ are blood-drinkers), and met a legend thought to be dead. There was also a lot of character development in a short space of time and it made me like both characters a little better.I would recommend the novella to all fans of the series that need a little something to tide them over before the final book comes out later this year!

⭐I purchased this ebook and Michael Scott’s other ebook, (The Death of Joan of Arc) and I have really enjoyed both of them. Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas is a really good book, just like his other novels (I’ve read all of them and enjoyed them). I think you will enjoy this book even more after reading Michael Scott’s series (the Alchemists, the Magician, the Sorceress, the Necromancer, the Warlock, the Enchantress) because you will have already met Billy the Kid and Scathach (who are probably two of my favourite character in the series). I would recommend this book to both adults and children.

⭐After Billy’s appearance in the Alchemyst I was intrigued to read more, and I enjoyed it immensley. I would recommend it.

⭐An exciting short story, very enjoyable. I can highly recommend Scotts Irish folklore stories as well as the more modern ones.

⭐Great book
