⭐What can I say? It’s Isaac Asimov, one of the most prolific science fiction/science fact authors. I especially appreciated the story “Thiotimoline to the stars,” which I wasn’t aware of before, building on the original story about thiotimoline, a compound that is so soluble in water that it dissolves BEFORE it hits the water. (“On the endochronic properties of thiotimoline” if I remember the title).As in other anthologies of his stories, the personal notes accompanying them add to the enjoyment.The book itself was hard cover with the original dust cover and in very good condition.

⭐I had this book several years ago, some of his best short stories are in it, One thing i was a little disappointed about was the stickers they used, it did a little damage trying to get them off

⭐an AMAZING asimov short story collection. i am particularly fond of his mini autobiographies inbetween the story that tells the reader how the story came to be

⭐When there was little SF around we snapped up every collection we could get. This was one. Buy Jupiter, the title story, involves intelligent beings who want to buy the use of Jupiter for an interstellar highway advertising billboard.The stories varied and were quite short, some good fun. Asimov looked back at what he was doing and how the story got published, and his self-deprecating or wry or reminiscent comments were just as nice to read.Other collections by Asimov from around the same time were The Martian Way and Through a Glass, Clearly, and his groundbreaking Nightfall.

⭐The more is the between-stories descriptions of what was going on in his life when he wrote these stories and often the reasons for writing them. A good look into Isaac Asimov, the man.

⭐If you like Asimov, you’ll love Buy Jupiter and other stories. An eclectic mix of his short stories, they range from short-shorts (1-2 pages) to some longer pieces. Given Asimov’s prolifity, the quality can be a bit uneven, but his introductory commentary for each story more than makes up for it. If you love puns, you’ll especially like Shah Guido G.

⭐There really ought to be two options for reviewing Kindle books. One for the book and the second option covering the state of the conversion from book to Kindle format. In the case of this book, the stories are fine, right up to Azimov’s standards. The state of the conversion is dreadful! I sincerely hope this gets fed back to the publishers because it is riddled with spelling, punctuation and formatting errors. I just wonder if, having done the formatting, they just don’t bother to check whether it has worked properly. In the case of this book, they would soon find out that it was awful. It is so bad that I would throw this version away and get some decent conversion software or, even better, get a human being who can spell and punctuate properly to do the job.

⭐The paper cover of the book was in poor condition, in particular on the side, while the front picture was OK. From the picture online it was not clear such condition, but the book was also super cheap, so I guess it was implied, it is clearly a old book, sofair enough. The book itself was in good condition
