⭐As a 27 year enthusiast of car audio, I may have just been underinformed to find this book of any use. I was hoping that it would at least clarify the basics of installation and provide reference pages for some of the points of proper install that require a bit of math or careful consideration of a procedure. This is not that kind of book. If car audio i9ntrerest you, if you’ve been to a competition of some kind if you’ve read a magazine or two, then there is little if anything this book will provide in the way of knowledge. A year’s subscription to any car audio magazine or a small amount of time reading the sticky articles in a forum would be a wealth of information past what this book provides. save your money and use it to by better cables than you intended.

⭐I read cover to cover and was told a whole lot of background and educated on terms and buzz words, it did not however tell me how to, which is what I am used to from the “for dummies” series. I learned to and became a bee keeper from that book. I can not say the same for this one, 3 stars for the attempt. I returned the book, watched a lot of YouTube and did just fine.

⭐I assumed that a for dummies book would give me instructions and guides for car audio. instead this dued spends 300 pages telling me to do nothing myslef. instead he says this is a buying guide and that everything ought to be done by a professional. meanwhile he tells you what an expert he is and how he did everything himself in his cars. seems a little stupid if you ask me. why would i buy a book about buying speakers???

⭐I thought this book was helpful for anyone who wants to upgrade their car audio and has little or no experience. I appreciated using this as a resource.

⭐Bought this book just to check it out. It is really only good for rookies. My knowledge far surpasses this book but was good for reinforcing what you already know. For someone just starting the car audio experience this will take you thru the basics and everyone needs to start some where.For the novice I would highly recommend buying this book!

⭐Makes for interesting reading and not at all difficult to follow. Can be used for reference as it appears to be reasonably up to date I think.

⭐needed to hook up the aux jack on my used car stereo – it wasn’t hellpful. information presented was interesting so the book wasn’t a total waste.

⭐Always enjoyable to read a dummies book, helpful tips and basic knowledge, good for beginners or old dogs would buy again

⭐Not bad if you don’t have any idea about hifi system, but it’s basic, in some parts very superficial. Should have more details!

⭐Great for anyone wanting to learn from the basics as well as a reference. Lots of useful information without it being too technical.
