James Hadley Chase was born in London and initially worked as a book wholesaler. He was heavily influenced by American crime and gangster writers and his own books fall within that genre, with many of them based in the U.S. Chase developed a number of series characters, with several books dedicated to each and all are fast moving tales of murder, intrigue, blackmail and espionage. Characters include ex commando Brick-Top Corrigan, Californian private eye Vic Malloy, former C.I.A. agent Mark Girland, and millionaire Don Miclem. ⭐ This book is unbelievably well written, nonstop action suspenseful and thought provoking. I started reading and found it extremely hard to close the book even when it was past my bedtime. I really enjoyed the different characters in the book and how each character made this book a cliffhanger. Like all his other books, James Hadley Chase delivered a complex plot but easy to follow without getting lost in the shuffle of characters. I will probably pick this book up again may be in another twenty years and read all over again, God willing. Thanks Amazon for the incredible price of this book. At this price I have been able to buy several books in the past few months. Please take the time to read this book you will not be bored or disappointed.

⭐ How can anyone RATE Chase? I finished all his books long long ago.Coming to printing and others,in this digital zamaana, I feel, nobody care much about maintaining books in physical form anymore.So, for reading 2 or 3 times it is ok.

Je ne me rappelle jamais ce que j’ai lu parce que je possède déjà un très grand nombre de Chase en anglais achetés d’occasion chez “Shakespeare and co” dans les années 70, et que je les relis souvent. J’adore ce type de couverture
