User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐The godmother and creator of the Romance genre, Jane Austen should be required reading for everyone who fancies herself/himself a romance writer. If nothing else, Austen’s spare yet still illuminative style should be a clue to those who have embraced the “detail” for the detail’s sake–notice everything she DOESN’T record and yet how full and rich her stories are nevertheless.Melissa Leedom, AuthorTo Forgive, Divine

⭐This worked for me because I planned to — and did — read it straight through. But there was no easy way to jump to the TOC and back. I would have paid more for proper indexing. And one likes to contemplate Jane… especially when you have all of her text.

⭐Finally finished! Jane Austen. What more is there to say? Glad to finally check this off my list!! Definitely will be read over and over

⭐I would have given this 5 stars, but the print was so small that it made it difficult to read.

⭐Love the reading

⭐Can’t open one at a time, have to read first novel before the next will open.

⭐I liked it.Very easy to use

⭐Wow! It appeals me a lot, and I wish get something different from this.

⭐I bought the Kindle version of this. I wanted to re-read the Jane Austen novels I’d read before, and fill in the gaps. This edition gave me all of her novels, unabridged, for very little money.I think it’s great. So far I’ve re-read Emma and Persuasion, and right now I’m enjoying Northanger Abbey; and I’ll probably move on to a few others after that. The books appear to be complete and unabridged, and they appear in publication sequence. So far I’ve noticed maybe 3 typos, but you pretty much always get that on Kindle books. To select a particular novel, you just go to the Contents and select it. Up comes a sub-Contents page with the chapters. The only thing I’d like different is that the ‘percentage read’ is actually the percentage of the ENTIRE multi-book volume, which isn’t much help in telling me how far I’ve reached in the book I’m currently reading. But that’s a small gripe given the great value in buying all of the novels together.I had forgotten how enjoyable Jane Austen is to read. They aren’t all THAT deep, but I can well imagine that the satirical side of them wasn’t lost on the society women of the day who read them. Northanger Abbey is 100% tongue in cheek, and very enjoyable.Recommended.

⭐All of the books are mostly about money looks and marriageEmma is incredibly boring and Emma herself is quite sillyBut pride and prejudice is entertaining

⭐The individual chapters were not interactive, only the books in the contents list, so if you wanted to go back to re-read something in an earlier chapter you had flick through the pages, rather than being able to click on that chapter at the beginning of the book.

⭐I found this confusing at first. But it helps you to know the characters through their letters to each other

⭐Excellent. All the novels I needed.
