User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I bought this guide used and was so pleased to see its excellent condition. It arrived in a timely manner too.

⭐I would like to see Lonely Planet make a pocket guide to the 3 major cities in Vietnam—Hoi An, Hanoi, & Ho Chi Minh. I’m planning a trip to Hoi An and found blogs to be more helpful than this book. The information in the book is a good starting place, but it’s very broad. It’s difficult to create an entire itinerary for a trip to Hoi An using this book.

⭐Used these guides for years and they are always a home run. Spent 2 weeks in Vietnam using this guide to maximize my time there. If you are a 5 star resort type, this may not be your thing though.

⭐I travel all over the world and use Lonely Planet to plan all of my vacations. I trust their recommendations on what to visit, where to stay and where to eat.

⭐AN ESSENTIAL REFRENCE BOOK ABOUT VIETNAM FOR THE HOLIDAY PLANNER TO USE BEFORE AND DURING TRAVEL IN THIS LOVELY COUNTRY. A MUST TO BUY AND READ.

⭐This book had excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing as well as handy tips for traveling all throughout Vietnam. It was a great resource when navigating things like taxi selection so that we weren’t ripped off.

⭐There is no motorbike section, or tripplanning for North to South or visa versa. I think it could be better and I am used better from LP.

⭐Had a great trip and lonely planet never disappoints. The places and description are accurate.

⭐So worth it. We open the book before going and pretty much every day when in Vietnam. We also used trip advisor afterwards to see what other people were saying. But the book is so easy to use and find stuff and it has great tips. Notice that if you are worried you need a book because internet isn’t good in Vietnam, you may be wrong. They have 4g all over the country and free WiFi everywhere.

⭐Impossible to use in Kindle version because sections are out of order (eg historic Hanoi is in the South West Highlands)

⭐Good to have in your backpack if your in Vietnam and traveling trough country. Plenty of interesting places, things, tips how to adopt to local culture, language etc.

⭐Great use in planning our trip! Only criticism is that there’s not many hostels included in the accomodation section. Appreciate they have to include a range of accommodation but as a result we just used hostel world to do all of our accomodation research!

⭐Was hoping to get some insights into local areas and cuisines but no different from looking on the web for popular touristic places.
