⭐If you are planning a trip anywhere Lonely Planet travel guides are the way to go. I have traveled extensively and always plan my own trips with the help of Lonely Planet. From South West U.S. Caribbean, Central America, Mediterranean, to African, now we travel to Western Europe and have never been disappointed. There is advice for families to the adventurous and will guide you to good-value hotels and restaurants. It helps you plan where to go, how to get there, and what to see, depending on the length of your trip. You’ll get up-to-date recommendations about what is worth your time and money. More than just reviews and directions, it is an invaluable guide to ensuring you not only see the top destinations but see them the way you want to.

⭐Useful when visiting multiple cities in a short period of time. Doesn’t have much detail on any though.

⭐Not detailed enough to be of much value.

⭐We were in Paris, Rome, Florence and Vatican in July.Not what I was looking for: not too many visuals, hard to locate the information I was looking for.

⭐always handy to have a paper version to haul around and mark and fold pages. something about paper is nice.

⭐This guide is extremely general and I haven’t found even one single detail besides what you can easily google for every country. Useless.

⭐USELESS! Doesnt have much information, they tried to put a lot and end up putting nothing! Definitely not worth it buying it.

⭐An easy read reference book for the traveller. It has the highlights for the countries concerned but could not compete with the guide for individual countries. Nevertheless it’s good at what it does and saves money

⭐Info isn’t enough. Had to get a normal one with kindle.

⭐I bought it as I was quite fine with LP Eastern Europe, although I realized that regional guidebooks must be condensed compared to country guidebooks, and I thought LP Western Europe will be as acceptable. However, I found this book totally concise that it even loses the details and most of the pages were consumed by “Sleeping and Eating” and “Entertainment” sections. It is horrible to have a guidebook that doesn’t guide me to any interesting points of WHY I should go to that place, instead it guides me of where to literally drink and s***. This book doesn’t stay with me for longer than 12 hours, it’s returned.
