⭐I won’t speak to the literary prowess of Ezra pound. That is for the reader to decide for themselves whether or not they are fans of his written work. To speak of the book itself, I am a huge fan. It is simple, concisely laid out, standard paper quality and the ink does not show through. It is the kind of book one can wake up in the early morning, sit on their patio with a cigarette and cup of coffee, and read through to create a feeling of pristine tranquility. Ezra Pound’s poetry, combined with the top notch quality of this book itself, will take you to the place you need to be.

⭐Some of these poems need a guide for time and place. Others are just a crystal clear glimpse into us. All of us.From the point of view of madness maybe. But it was a mad time.

⭐I like Ezra Pound. He can be highly descriptive and elicit complex emotions with just a few words. Overall, however, he is indulgent to a fault in his obsession with centuries-old forms of poetic storytelling. More ardent Pound scholars will doubtless cry foul. But the reality is that Pound is often severe, serious, academic, and dry. When he’s describing the minutiae of the human condition: marvelous. Otherwise, he’s like a old, strict uncle more comfortable with dusty textbooks than family.

⭐I read this selection only after having read so much else by Ezra Pound, a great poet. This selection covers both the early poems and the Cantos and is an excellent introduction to Pound’s poetry and certainly an invitation to read much more.

⭐Everything I expected. Would recommend.

⭐These are the best of his poems and easy to understand. The book is an antique, but in great shape.

⭐Ezra Pound is a very interesting person from the standpoint of literary history. He was clearly highly regarded by Ernest Hemingway, as Mr. Hemingway himself explained in “A Moveable Feast”. Ezra Pound is a very significant figure in the modernist movement of poetry.My problem is idiosyncratic. This poetry is simply beyond my comprehension. I am a student attempting to educate myself. I have no poetry teachers. My daughter, who has a degree in English, specifically asked me to read Ezra Pound. I have done so. I cannot grasp this.This may sound critical. I am not trying to be critical, except perhaps of myself. I am a person of simple tastes in almost every aspect of my life. My favorite poet may be Carl Sandburg. However I wish to be truly well read. But I have hit the wall with Ezra Pound. This is like some modern art to me. I have really learned a lot about modern art, and really like some, not all, of it. But I had to be taught.If one is going to purchase a book such as this without any idea about the poetry of Ezra Pound or at least the modern movement, one may wish to go to a library and sample some beforehand. I am merely writing his review in the event that a prospective customer is hoping for simple, transparent poetry. That has not been my experience. Thank You…

⭐If you admire this poet I would go for a more quality edition, the cantos are not complete here – a bit of a cheapie !
