Award-winning author Dominique Eastwick grew up a US Navy Brat, so if there was a naval base, that was probably home. She currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, two children, crazy lab and lazy cat. Dominique’s love of reading started when she was told to read To Kill a Mockingbird in high school-a book that opened her eyes to the joys of reading and entering into the world of the author. To this day she ranks this book as her favorite. –This text refers to the paperback edition. Review “Fantastic story and a great romance. You get a great storyline with this novella. Dominique takes you into some islands off of Maine and gives you witches, vamps, shifters and a lot of other bump in the night creatures. I enjoyed getting to know them and can’t wait for the next book. Rekkus is a very dominating shifter that really doesn’t want a mate but when a woman comes to the inn for vacation he just cannot stop nor can she. ⭐ What a great introduction to an interesting group of paras. While the girls think they are going to an island vacation like the rest of their ship mates, the staff has to keep the human vacationers away from the para visitors, making for an interesting juggle of schedules. I love how Dominique brings real people into the para world. We can’t all be the thin model beauty who captivates the gorgeous hero in the story. Real women have the ability to capture a special guys eye and heart and I love how loved and appreciated he made her feel during this story… she finally feels at home in her body and soul. I can’t wait to read the next books in this series and watch them find their mates.

⭐ I read this fantastic book when it first came out, but I couldn’t think of an appropriate review worthy enough of Rekkus and Dana. If you like paranormal romance this is the book and series for you.Rekkus is a kittie any red-blooded woman would love to pet, but he’s all Dana’s once he sets eyes on her at the Wiccan Haus.Get ready for a mystical fantasy island filled with humans and para’s that need healing and what better way to heal than finding your soulmate?

⭐ I truly enjoyed this book. It was easy to read, very enjoyable and a wonderful start to a very different but very interesting series. This series has several books in it and there are several authors. This author has written 2 so far then another authors writes and so on. It is a wonderful blending of stories and authors!!If you like paranormal romance then you will love this series. This author did a great job keeping me in this story. I bought all of them and I am looking forward to comparing authors and stories in this good but different series.

⭐ I’m totally in love with the Wiccan Haus series. Shifting Hearts introduces the amazing, magical island off the coast of Maine. In this book, I greedily read Rekkus and Dana’s story in two days. What a sexy were-tiger. I couldn’t wait to read more!

⭐ I felt like I was the story. I generally don’t read paranormal but I couldn’t wait to read the next book. The characters charismatic and the story line unique. I read it once for myself and then read it out loud to my sister as we traveled to Florida. We also enjoyed book four on our trip. I’m looking forward to reading more of these books.

⭐ I’m gonna enjoy hearing more about Rekkus and Dana, it will be interesting to see where the other authors go with them.

⭐ I liked it enough to try book two, the story was interesting but seemed to be a little disjointed. I’m hoping book two improves the series enough to put this author on my to watch list.

⭐ A fast paced, fresh read with original characters that jump off the pages into your hearts. I can see why this author, Dominique Eastwick, birthed a series set in this world, and Rekkus and Dana are a pair I won’t soon forget.

⭐ So let me tell you a little story. One of my favorite authors has a release coming out in this series. It’s not her first one for this series, but it’s the first one from her since I started reading her books. As I pre-ordered I realized I should probably read the entire series to appreciate the book more. One thing led to another in this Facebook conversation and the amazing Dominique Eastwick sent me her book, the first in this series. I read this book in a single sitting because I couldn’t put it down.Shifting Hearts introduces Wiccan Haus, a healing spa run by four siblings, the Rowans. The spa caters to both paranormal beings and humans and during a stay they can and do interact somewhat.Rekkus is the Spa’s head of security and bodyguard to the Rowan siblings.As the story begins Dana and her friend Jessie arrive on the ferry. Dana walked away from her wedding and her family has now disowned her. Here she hopes to rejuvenate and formulate some plan for her future. She has nothing left at home, not even a home to return to.Rekkus finds a watch on the path from the ferry dock and with the help of Cyrus one of the Rowans. He finds the owner and proceeds to her room to return it.Realization that Dana is his mate makes him determined to avoid her. Alas the fates will have none of that. Not only does she find him well lets say it gets hotter and hotter from here.
