    Description

Osho is known around the world for his pioneering contribution to meditation — the science of inner transformation — with the unique approach of his “Osho Active Meditations” acknowledging the accelerated pace of the contemporary world and bringing meditation into modern life. Based on the Seven Points of Mind Training by the 11th-century Buddhist mystic Atisa, The Book of Wisdom removes the dust of tradition that has gathered around meditation, conveying the essential science and methodology of the practice with a freshness and spontaneity that is rarely found in contemporary spiritual works. The book is a guide for inner discipline and transformation that is also highly accessible, incorporating light, often humorous question-and-answer sessions between the author and his audience that help readers make the practical connection between spiritual theory and meditation as a lifestyle.

⭐In these 28 talks, given to an audience of sannyasins and seekers during his Poona One days, Osho does what he does best: sell enlightenment. With a combination of commentary on Atisha’s Seven Points of Mind Training as well as Q&A sessions from his sannyasins, Osho not only brings Atisha’s wisdom to life but also infuses it with his own tremendous clarity in classic Osho-fashion. Osho’s vision is all-encompassing. He embraces all of the Masters and Mystics from the past in an effort to cast a wide net to pull his audience in. He is no different with Atisha. After illuminating sutras from Atisha, Osho then deconstructs questions from his listeners in a systematic logical fashion with a touch of poetry as well. This style is pure genius and mystic insight interwoven in one.On a deeper level, Osho is performing spiritual alchemy on his listeners. He speaks so the listener can become quiet. For those who are sensitive enough, there is an energy-transmission taking place. Osho’s words come from a deep place of silence within his own Being and this silence can be transformative. In truth, these talks are more of a Satsang (being with truth). Osho takes the listener on a pilgrimage – from mind to no-mind, from ego to Being. Not only are these talks engaging for the mind, but they keep the listener in tune for long enough to become attuned to the silence of the Master – the silence of Atisha, the silence of Osho, the same eternal silence of all those who have ever known. This is the true function of a Buddha.

⭐This extraordinary book is alive and breathes the essence of enlightenment. Osho explains the sutras of Atisha, from Tibetan Buddhism, which show the way, and the instructions are very clear about what is helpful and what is a hindrance. I have used these meditations since 1982, and the growth that happens through using the techniques is a miracle. Through explaining the sutras of Atisha, Osho will open your heart, continually increase awareness, and connect you to the source of all of existence.Osho says Atisha is very caring toward the disciple. Atisha had three Tibetan Buddhist Mystic Masters, and each taught him a different path leading to the same ultimate enlightened consciousness. One taught no-mind, emptiness, how to be without any thoughts, the second taught love and compassion, and the third taught love in action. Because of this Atisha knows and makes very clear different paths for different seekers. But this book also goes beyond the instructions. Osho transmits through energy the consciousness that awakens consciousness inside you. He is like the sun coming in your window in the morning, touching your cheek, and telling you, “Now it is time to wake up!” There is nothing more important happening at this moment in the history of humanity than consciousness waking up.It is a great honor and privilege to recommend to you this book. Welcome to the best journey you could ever go on.

⭐Another wonderful Osho book. His insights have been invaluable to me. Love his style and I love the style of the books. Conversational, but well edited, always something new (which is amazing with how much he had to say). Love the sections where he explains in modern English the old buddhist/zen/tantra texts from the masters, and also love the Q&A sections. Also highly recommend The Book of Secrets, and pretty much any other book from Osho. (I haven’t read them all yet, but all the ones I have read have been well worth the time and purchase price.)

⭐This is a wonderful book filled with a lot of great reading material. I have to say the seller went WAY beyond the call of duty packing the book to ensure it arrived to me safely without any damage. They do a very good job at shipping and having products delivered safely. I will definitely buy from them again in the future!

⭐Book of choice if all books on this planet were one day taken away from us by the folks who ruined life as we now know it. Osho, formally known as Bagwan Rashneesh is the Man when it comes to explaining all the other books. But it only will be understandable if you understand it. HA! HA! Happy trails and blue Skys Suckers! With all my best regards to you Enlightment, ME

⭐The best of Osho’s many books… If you want to understand Osho’s message this is the book to read…. Every page contains one or more jewels of wisdom… I will re-read many times…

⭐I lived in Pune with Rajneesh in 1977-78….he gave me my name and taught me to meditate and set me on a lifetime meditation path: Vispassana, which he said would go very deep with me, and reminded me that Vipassana was the meditation that Buddha was Enlightned with….He was right, it has gone very deep with me….and this book, The Book of Wisdom, is one of the many teachings he gave to his sanyassin daily in Pune….It is the TRUTH! Read it, and all great spiritual works, with YOUR HEART!! Savor the feelings and wisdom you will discover there as you read…LISTEN DEEPLY….

⭐Great Service! Arrived earlier than expected, and is in pristine condition! Looking forward to turning the pages and making discoveries 🙂

    ⭐Fascinating

⭐In this book osho sheds lights on the teachings of Atisha, a leading proponent of Tibetan Buddhism. He was born in India but moved towards Tibet and lived his life there. According to Osho, Atisha showered his love on Tibet and transformed the whole quality of Tibetan consciousness..He is reported to have existed somewhere in the eleventh century. Atisha .learned under three enlightened masters and because of that he is called Atisha the Thrice Great. The three masters taught him the three faces of ultimate reality, the three faces of God – the trinity, the trimurti. The first master Dharmakirti taught him no-mind and emptiness, taught him how to be thoughtless and contentless. The second master Dharmarakshita taught him love and compassion. And the third master Yogin Maitreya taught him the art of taking the suffering of others and absorbing it into your own heart. Atisha’s teachings are based on the above three fundamentals. Atisha makes it a fundamental rule for his disciples to live in a happy frame of mind. He says: Always rely on just a happy frame of mind.Unhappiness depends on the frame of your mind. There are people who are unhappy in all kinds of situations.Even if you come across a negative, find something positive in it. He also says not to ponder over others’ defects or to interfere in others’ livesDo not discuss defects.Don’t think about anything that concerns others. The sutras /the messages of Atisha are very very short, condensed and telegraphic..These are clear cut instructions given only to those who are ready to travel, to go on the pilgrimage into the unknown. .For Atisha the whole existence is divine. There is no personal God.Osho asks us to listen to Atisha’s advice as it is of immense value. In Osho’s words:” It is not a philosophy. It is a manual to discipline yourself, it is a manual to transform yourself. It is the book that can help you grow into wisdom.” and hence Osho calls this book The Book of Wisdom.Osho,s observations are always unique. Quoted below are a few of his observations found in this book.Humbleness is an expression of the ego. Those who give you goals are your enemies. Those who tell you what to become and how to become it are the poisoners.Beware of the majority. If so many people are following something , that is enough proof that it is wrong.People believe in lies, truth needs no believers.God is not found by praying on your knees; God is not found in the temples and churches, God is found in intense living.Don’t be knowledgeable, be wise. There is a deep urge in man to know things which are worthless, to know things which make you feel special.Osho comments in this book on Atisha’s seven points of mind training. The book contains a total of 29 chapters of which only 7 chapters are set apart for Osho’s commentaries on Atish’s teachings. Osho’s responses to a number of questions from a live audience appear in the remaining chapters. The topics of discussion include love, life and death; trust and belief; individuality and personality; fact and truth; dependence, independence and interdependence; positive and negative aspects of masculinity and femininity etc. etc.An Osho reader will definitely love this book.

⭐I would like to express my gratitude for having the chance to read this. I would recommend to any and all who have inner transformation as a goal. Thank you Osho and also many thanks to Amazon for making this available on Kindle.Paribanana: Be a joke unto yourself!!..:-).
