⭐Of all the books I’ve read on the Tang Dynasty of China and its enemies, this is by far the most comprehensive. Denis Twitchett is a genius and I don’t think there’s any denying it. This book is exhaustive, and I do mean that.At 800 pages, you will get a detailed view of the history of the Tang. I’ve read 33 books on this topic by now, and I would recommend this one if you want the definitive account of Tang Imperial History.

⭐great in depth volume and great for Cf.

⭐An excellent scholarly overview of a very important period in Chinese history.
