Description

The Heart Sutra, originally a very short set of verses, was given in privacy. It was a message to one of Buddha’s close disciples, Sariputra, and was specifically addressed to him. Over time, the Heart Sutra became one of Buddhism’s core teachings. In these ten talks Osho presents the powerful message of these ancient words and brings them to a modern audience — one with different minds and needs than the original audiences of Buddha more than 2,500 years ago. Osho’s message is not about Buddha the historical figure: instead, he addresses his readers and listeners and encourages them to discover their own inner reality, their own buddhahood. Like Buddha’s, Osho’s message is about meditation and meditation alone — “rely only on your meditation and nothing else.” Osho also speaks on the seven chakras, the energy centers of the human body, and their corresponding relationships to the physical, psychosomatic, psychological, psychospiritual, spiritual, spiritual-transcendental, and transcendental aspects of human growth and consciousness.

⭐ Brilliant! And enlightening as always! Maybe not as great as his commentary on The Diamond Sutra. But amazing non the less… I have no doubt OSHO was a true Buddha… non of the contemporary masters posses such clarity, such wisdom… ww are truly lucky that there is soooo much recorded material… truly blessed … to the dude with the 1 star review… as always, those come from haters that just read an article or saw a docu… in this case the dude just doesn’t know the difference between a dharma talk and a book… but a 1 star review? Pretty sure he’a just a hater….

⭐ i lov all Oshoisms

⭐ Profound, but well explained.

⭐ Osho is an extraordinary master! This is a valuable chance to learn from his wisdom about this ageless Classic of buddhism! Five stars, for sure!

⭐ I like to read Osho as hes very clear and practical and not bound by religious beliefs. His style of narration and examples are interesting and keeps you involved with the books and teachings. But I am highly disappointed by this one, There is no clear message and if feels more like a Guru speaking in circles with no end.

⭐ One of the early Osho titles which brings a totally new and contemporary understanding of Buddha and his message on meditation to the 21st Century. While Buddhism in his many forms has become an established religion, Osho brings the reader back to Buddha’s initial revolutionary teachings of meditation and self-discovery. If you want to understand more about the original Buddha, this might be a book for you.

⭐ Amazing in every respect….a book that makes the spiritual path a great distance shorter for anyone that reads it.

⭐ very good

⭐ To me, in this book, Osho takes a hazel nut, cracks it, and gives the reader the kernel.

⭐ Great study of this precious sutra. I don’t think it’s the best by Osho though, the book on Tantra and the Diamond Sutra are more essential to me. But as always, Osho adds his enlightened insights in an unparalleled way. Great book, but if you’re going to read one book only from him, go to the Tantra one.
