Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Great book. In excellent condition. Seller was great. Book in better shape than described by seller. Service was excellent. Book arrived very fast, long before promised.

⭐I am (and have been) a loyal Paris Review subscriber. Most of the stories contained in this anthology have appeared in editions of the Paris Review throughout the years. I still enjoy this book because of the sheer number and variety of stories contained within. It’s a bit bulky, so carrying it on public transportation might be tough, but it’s absolutely indispensable for airports and planes. It’s also great for those pesky DMV, doctor office, dentist, waiting rooms.I rate it five stars because there is something for everyone in it. Even if you have read works from these authors before, it’s nice to get a little short story now and then. And it’s not STUFFED with ads like the New Yorker (take that other reviewer who said New Yorker better!)If you like this edition, the regular Paris Review quarterly is also recommended. Only about 3 ads in those quarterlies, they’re good size without being too big, and have lots of great content.

⭐Well I have never read a copy of the magazine The Paris Review but have subscribed to Granta since it started and subscribe to The New Yorker. The first story in the anthology “Terrific Mother” by Lorrrie Moore was enough for me to give this five stars – let’s face it, where can you get such a thrill for $21? There may be some stories, poems, interviews, that don’t grab me with the same electric immediacy as that first story, but I don’t have to read it from cover to cover. It’s one of those terrific bedside books as far as I’m concerned and an absolute joy to explore.

⭐Didn’t start reading it until the current crisis hit. Glad I have an encyclopedic literary volume to tide me over while the libraries are closed! Fiction, poetry, interviews, insights. Beautiful.

⭐The book arrived quickly and in very good condition (for a used book). The content is what I was looking for in by-the-bedside reading with poems and short stories by well-known authors. This book has me running the gamut of emotions while enjoying every moment before dreams overtake me.

⭐The Paris Review:Text was wide-ranging (provocative, amusing, stimulating, surprising) in its selections, appropriately categorized. A genial pleasure for leisurely reading, perfect as a gift.

⭐Many authors known and not so well-known. Many genres which I enjoyed very much. Entrtaing for all writers and readers

⭐Great for travel since the stories are short and can be completed during a layover or any unexpected pause in the trip.

⭐I adore this book. I travel with it, visit friends and relations with it and give it to best friends. Barthelme, Updike, Calvino, Capote, Vonnegut, Pound – and that’s just a tiny fraction of the huge talent waiting to entertain and edify any questing reader. (Thought I’d just say that…)
