⭐I believe this is one of those great texts that tackled, somewhat early on, true applications of quaternions to physical problems. The layout of the text is large enough, making it easy to read. Has an extremely useful and clear index of symbols used throughout the book– always one of my biggest complaints about mathematician-authors’ books! The book starts out with simple vector math concepts and logically progresses thru matrices, tensors, 4-dimensional vector analysis, and into quaternions with sufficient physics/mathematical examples and problem sets along the way. I also found useful the visual/transformational representations of various 3-D (curvilinear) coordinate systems: ellipsoidal, toroidal, etc. I also found delightful Kyrala’s representation of Maxwell’s Equations into a single Quaternion equation. All-in-all, this book is in my top ten of reference books.
