Description

Quin has spent her life preparing to becoming a Seeker, and following in her family’s footsteps: a path she believed to be honourable and just. But the night she took her Oath, Quin learned the terrible truth about what being a Seeker really means. And now, the boy she once loved is out for vengeance, with her family in his sights.

Along with her oldest companion, Shinobu, Quin desperately wants answers. But the deeper Quin and Shinobu dig, the darker things become. There are long-vanished Seeker families, shadowy alliances – and a sinister plan, set in motion generations ago, with the power to destroy them all.

⭐ All three of our protagonists are sorting through the truths they discovered. Each having a very separate reaction. The dynamics have completely changed. Their world is on its axis, and they have to figure how to put it right.Once again we get a beautiful epic. The action is high intensity; the secrets are peeling apart in layers; the viciousness comes to new levels. There are two new additional points of view. Nott adds to the darkness of the book (because these aren’t your fluffy young adult novels) and Catherine builds the secret and mystery. Quin, Shinobu, and John continue to be strong personalities with great story arcs. When it seems that all horrible truths have been revealed, the trio keep digging up new horrifying parts to their Seeker legacy. All of them are on a mission; those missions just don’t seem to coincide with one another. We are now facing an us versus them situation with people from the same side. The tension builds to make it hard to put the book down. The plot really hasn’t slowed down since chapter one of book one. Impressed. I can’t say that the book is better than the first, but there wasn’t a lot of room to make something more. They are equal excellence.Traveler gets 4.5 stars.

⭐ Well she’s done it again. I love the style of this book, such an ingenious way of giving us pieces of the lives and story of these characters. How does her mind work? It’s like she already knew the whole story and is just relaying it to us but by bit, feeding us pieces of a puzzle and watching us struggle to make a picture of it. Just thinking of how she formulated all of this boggles my mind. I need to start the next book right now. So glad I can just download it as soon as I submit this review

⭐ I really enjoyed this series and read that the movie rights had been purchased (can’t remember by which studio), but no movie seems to be in the works. Very unique story and it’s be interesting to see how it would transition to the big screen.

⭐ Loved this book. I really enjoyed the trilogy if this series. Could not put it down.

⭐ I accidentally stumbled on this series when I went looking for something fanciful after I finished the most recent Karen Moning’s Fae book. Although this is YA while the Fae books are definitely R rated, I fell in love! Now I’ll be waiting impatiently for every new one just as I do with the Fae series. This was a surprisingly great find!

⭐ After reading Seeker I was eager to get my hands on this book and it didn’t disappoint. Just when I would think I knew where it was going it would throw another curve ball. It kept me on the edge of my seat and left me there as I now must wait for the conclusion to be released in February.

⭐ Thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to seeing the characters and story onthe big screen. I forget what age group this book is for. I’m an adult and enjoyed beingdropped into the adventures.

⭐ Seeker and Traveler really kept my attention. The switching of “voices” was not hard to follow. I read the Young Dread first. Next book has been pre ordered. Love the characters.

⭐ Very well written story that picks up where the first left off. Very easy read!

⭐ VERY VERY engaging, hard to put book down. Love these characters, love the unique locations, and love the story which moves fast with twists and turns..
