⭐ I’ve enjoyed many books by this author, but the Sarafin Warrior series is my least favorite series. I couldn’t get over how much I disliked Riley in the first book, and this book is following along the same lines. Tina who is Riley’s sister doesn’t have the same obnoxious, rude mouth of her sister, but she is more concerned with ever thing to do with herself, than with the man who is madly in love with her. She treats him with no respect or concern, over and over.Viper falls in love with his mate and no matter how horrible she treats him, he keeps going back for more. No sexy, alien prince is going to put up with all this from anyone, not even his mate. I kept hoping he would just drop her and try his best to find someone else. No such luck.I have loved the other series by S.E. Smith so very much, but unless something changes, this will be my last Sarafin book. I will stick to her other books.

Another winner from S.E. Smith! I’m a little late to the party for this release but I finally made it and so glad I did! After reading a few of the reviews, I admit I was a little hesitant about purchasing this book but I’m so glad I ignored the bad reviews. I realize that everyone is entitled to their opinion, as am I, but I failed to see any merit to the criticisms made by several reviewers. I am not a professional reviewer but I am an avid reader and have been for the last 60 years. I know what I like, what I love and most definitely, what I don’t and I LOVED this book! I’ve read every single release in the Dragon Lords of Valdier, Dragonlings of Valdier, Curizan Warriors, Sarafin Warriors and Magic New Mexico Series and have loved them all. This is an exciting, imaginative, humorous, heartwarming, well crafted and well written book. The dialogue is well executed, flows beautifully and at times, laugh out loud funny. Yes, this book has a great plot but it’s the magnificent characters that totally stole my heart. They are captivating, intriguing, endearing, well developed, larger than life, sexy as sin and outrageously funny. They literally explode from the pages and capture your heart. I snickered, snorted, giggled and guffawed throughout the majority of the book but I also shed a few tears as well. But then, all of Smith’s books have that effect on me and this one was no exception. If an author can tug on my heartstrings and make me cry while simultaneously warming my heart with healing love and laughter, she has most certainly succeeded in delivering an entertaining read. Isn’t that what we all look for in a great read? To be truly entertained? And this book is divinely entertaining! Sure, maybe there were a few minor editing errors but so what? We all make typos and I noticed quite a few in the reviews making the criticisms. Hey, we’re all human – I hope! lol… With an author who has a standard for excellence and proven track record like S.E. Smith, a few irrelevant errors should not be used to judge the overall quality of the story. Had there been tons of them, I could understand but there were only a few very minor mistakes. ⭐ The first book in this series that I read was Ha’ven’s Song which compelled me to pick up the first book in the Dragon Lords series, Abducting Abby which compelled me not only finish the Dragon Lords but to move on to Vox’s and Viper’s stories. I have enjoyed this entire series from the Dragon Lords to the Curizan Warriors and finally the Sarafin Warriors. Although the heroes are all very alpha and the heroines are not pushovers, which is lovely, each character is an individual and not a cookie cutter version of the one before with a new name. There may be a commonality among the characters but each is unique with their own story to tell. I really like how well SE Smith developed the characters enabling us to understand why they reacted or did the things they did. World building is so so but she gives enough to allow the reader to imagine a different world and what is even nicer is she builds upon the knowledge we have with each book. Each story is woven so that it blends well and intertwines with the story arc as a whole.Now the big question is if I liked these books and the series so much, why the 3 stars. What I can’t help but take points off for is grammar, sentence structure and spelling. I am no English major so if I the mistakes I notice are so glaring, I can only imagine the ones I am missing. In the dedication, SE Smith thanks a couple of people for proof reading her manuscripts but I must say whomever is proof reading these books is not up to the job. I don’t mean to be harsh but had I spent $16.00 for a printer version as opposed to $4.00 for the kindle version, I would have been furious with all the mistakes especially the ones which are spell check mistakes. Just because spell check tells you it is wrong doesn’t mean you should automatically assume the program is right. Examples: there vs their, to vs too, leader vs Lodar (name of character, hello). There is no reason for simple mistakes that someone like me can see to be in a final draft of any book that someone is receiving money for. Viper’s Defiant Mate was so bad that I looked to see if it was perhaps one of the first in the series to be published and frankly it is the most recent installment to the series which is shocking to me and why I finally felt compelled to deduct stars for bad editing.Ms Smith, hundreds of people are buying your books and although the money you are receiving is not 100% profit, you should take the time to find someone qualified to edit your manuscripts. Heck, find a retired English teacher who enjoys science fiction/romance and pay her or him in cash under the table. They will get a little extra income and you will have a better product that may increase your sales.Finally as a side note, before I purchased this book I read some of the reviews and almost decided to skip it due to these reviews. So, to set future buyers minds at ease without giving too much away, I did not find Tina and Pearl’s actions abusive perhaps over the top but I did not find them shockingly offensive. The part about poisoning which a couple of readers made me think twice about purchasing this book over, I have only one thing to say, look up this product at Amazon. If you found this passage in the book offensive do not read the reviews for the product. IF you find the passage in the book funny, you will find the reviews hilarious.

⭐ What do you get when you put a strong woman who has see the dark side of men together with a Sarafin Warrior Prince who never thought to find a mate and a rock salt filled shotgun toting granny with rules to live by? A fast paced fun read that you do not want to end.SE Smith writes clever dialogue with intriguing characters. Her books pick you up and make you smile. She really is the queen of feel good sci first romance.I don’t do synopsis or spoilers in my reviews. Next to the dragonlings She is my most loved character this author has ever written. I want Grandma Pearl to have her own book and HEA! Her rules to live by are so much fabulous common sense rules we should all adhesive to in this live.We get to visit with Riley and Vox again which is always great about SE Smith books. You get to see previous characters andhow they are progressing.I can’t wait to see where we go next with the series. Thank you SE for another terrific reading experience.

⭐ Tina wants to know what happened to her sister Riley. While trying to track her down she comes across a big ol puddycat.Viper is a warrior of the sarafin race. The last thing he wants to do is babysit a fragile human and her vicious grandmother ( the things one does for family). Fragile? Hah! He gets shot in the butt (repeatedly), hit with tranquilizers (repeatedly), put in a cage and overdoses on sugar free jelly beans (galactic plumbing will never be the same again). A simple retrieval is turning into a nightmare.Viper realizes that Tina is his mate and is clueless in how to get. Everything he does blows up in his face or worse (being shot in the butt by her grandmother).Tina has always been withdrawn but when her mate is in danger the claws will come out. Never get between a wildcat and her mate.Viper and Tinas’ story is funny, steamy and full of action. Can’t wait for the next one in the sarafin series.

⭐ I enjoy S.E. Smith’s alien/sci fi/adventure/romance series so much I had to read the Sarafin Warriors series. Although these two books (so far) have adventure, they also produce giggles and chuckles with the shenanigans of Riley (book 1) and Tina (book 2). Viper, prince to the Sarafin king, Vox, has orders to pick up two women (Riley’s family) from Earth — whether they are willing or not. With his usual arrogance, Viper walks right into darts, cages, Tasers, brass knuckle punches and buckshot from a shotgun. I guess that arrogance doesn’t work so well with Earth women. There is a lot going on in this novel with the overarching concern of traitors but the primary focus is Viper and Tina. A lot of fun — alpha males, take-no-prisoners women and family craziness makes for an enjoyable read.

⭐ I loved this story about Viper and Tina! They are a perfect match, and grandma Pearl is just amazing. I would love to live in this world that S.E. Smith created. Keywords: arrogant male desperate in need of being shot with salt pellets by grandma Pearl, a sweet woman with a core and fists of steel, cats, a chicken, action and amazing (and hot) characters.

⭐ I love SE Smith books! You know that you will be laughing along with the romantic storyline. If you haven’t read Riley’s story; don’t read this until you do. Viper d’Rojah has returned to earth to pick up Riley’s grandmother and sister. In his mind all he has to do is show up, pick up the women and fly back to his planet.When the St. Claire’s are involved nothing goes according to plan. Aside from being shot with rock salt from Gramdma Pears shotgun, Viper has a multitude of problems just getting the women to listen to him. When the bad guys who were chasing Riley come after Tina and Grandma, Viper steps in and takes care of business.Funny and very entertaining, I can’t wait for more.

⭐ Oh Yeah, I’m So going to be rereading this series again and again…it’s that GREAT!! The first book with Riley and Vox was absolutely hilarious that you can’t wait to read what she does next and to Vox or anyone else who has pissed her off…now Tina, Gramma Pearl aren’t to be messed with and woe to Viper and anyone else who thinks that they can…which is continually cracking me up..there’s also plenty of lovable moments with lots of HEAT!!! I’m so looking forward to seeing who is getting their hilariously filled trouble finding their way to get their own HEA….Hopefully it will be Toni and her warrior.
