⭐This story is one of the best sci-fi, end of world series I’ve ever read. Mr. West brings out the final battle with this book, along with Alex confronting Askala with the battle of the minds. Lots of action leading up to the final chapter that keeps the pages turning.Throughout this entire series, I really liked the way the author depicted the ‘good against evil’ theme, not only on the human side of reality, but he also incorporated a tinge of spirituality without being religious or biased toward one sect or another. It helped to maintain that foundation of hope for all mankind. Anyway, that’s the way I tend to interpret various aspects of this entire read.I’ll be keeping an eye on Kyle West for future books. I like his style of writing and his imaginative presentations. Thanks for a wonderful series, Mr. West. Bravo Zulu!
⭐The best science fiction series I have read in 40 + years! I tried the first 3 books as a free promotion and found I needed to keep going. This series is like all great sci-fi has a terrific story and wonderful characters to root for. Do yourself a favor and give this series a chance, you will be very happy that you did. Dragons, an alien invasion, crazy mutated creatures and strong characters, some still teenagers who all rose to the challenge of fighting for earth.
⭐I was absolutely Drawn Into this series and even had my best friend reading with me. Everything was great until I reached Extinction. That book seemed almost like a filler to hurry up to the ending. Reading Xenofall I was beyond excited to see the final showdown between Alex and Ascala. The ending was just…ok…not bad but not great either. I feel like it was missing something and should have been more! For Askala to be such a powerful entity with no physical body and the power to create such great monstrosities among the Radaskim, the showdown should have been epic. He destroyed her to easily in my opinion. Almost like he was running out of ideas and was rushing to end the book series. As a series overall it was a great ready! Excellent series! I just wish more thought was put into the last book.
⭐A good book, but the most disappointing of the series. I was hoping for a way Alex and Anna would stay together, as I’m sure most were, but alas that wasn’t to be. Attn: Spoiler ahead!I also felt that the final battle was a bit rushed. We’ve been reading 7 books waiting for the final outcome and it was reduced to 2 paragraphs.Anyway, if you’ve made it this far in the series, it’s a must read, just felt a little “rushed” in comparison to the rest of the books.
⭐I just finished all 7 of the first books. These were all good building on each other. You knew the final outcome but not the adventure of getting there. Masterfully done. Great read. Big D
⭐This set of 7 books are definitely not fully adult reading. It could have been a truly great series if people were aloud to act as human beings instead of idealized children/Christian whitewashing. The story line is solid. In 7 books I’d like to have more depth to characters. For those of you who loved it, good news-another set 400 yrs later is under way. I will not be taking part.
⭐I loved this series and the end was an appropriate conclusion to a really fun sci-fi saga. I was not at all disappointed.
⭐Hard for me to (spoiler alert) accept that so many of the good perished, HOWEVER, their stories are all great. This series was a joy to read and I burned through the 7 books quickly. Looking forward to more in XW!
⭐Phew. Well, Alex and his friends have come to the end (?) of their story. Once I got used to the change from sci-fi to fantasy, I enjoyed the books, but I am not sure that I shall buy the next series. I shall wait and see. This long – 7 books – series was enjoyable and I am glad I read them. I originally thought I would just read the first three, but I found it impossible to stop reading.
⭐Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed this ending to a very fine series, I found the ending itself to be not at all what I expected and strangely unsatisfying. This is, of course, my own opinion and the only way you are going to find out if you agree with me, or not, is to read the book!
⭐Really enjoyed the whole series of books, a different take on an apocalypse scenario, the characters grow as the books come along. Obviously the recommendation would be to start at the beginning as it will make the experience so much more whole. I’m a bit of a X Box games fan and the story here would make a great back ground to a game. Thoughtfully written and suitable for pretty much all ages who like a good Sci Fi, apocalypse adventure
⭐Here we have the final installment of the Wasteland Chronicles series. It is a fitting end to the story and the series as a whole is one to read: very entertaining, imaginative and emotive.
⭐Good
