Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ I like this book. I checked it out at the library and then looked for it and bought it. Most yoga books that I have seen seem to want prove how flexible or strong they are. I am in my late 50’s and haven’t done yoga in quite a few years so I wanted the basics and how to do some easy yoga that will help me and not hurt me. I don’t need to prove anything to anyone and I am tired of all of the look at me crap.

⭐ I am writing this on behalf of the recipient… I bought this as a gift for his birthday in March. My friend had recently begun to attend a weekly group yoga class for beginners and though he really liked the teacher and the class, he felt that he knew next to nothing.I waited for several months before asking him… when in fact, he sought me out to tell me how fantastic the book was in helping him. He told me that it gave him something he could understand, and that he was actually making progress on the pose that is most difficult for him: pigeon pose.He is no athlete and yoga is a discipline and practice unlike anything else he has done… so, though I’ve not perused the book myself, and therefore cannot tell you what it contains (though I’m sure other reviews have already done so) I can indeed let you know that a very real beginner, one who wanted to know more, was thrilled with this book and found it a very practical aid.

⭐ Delivered promptly, as described, lots of yoga information for all levels of practice.

⭐ This is a very good book. I found myself thinking that it could have used more pictures but it was very detailed and easy to read. I think this beek would be appropriate for any skill level beginner to advanced. I would recommend this to a friend any day.

⭐ I have really enjoyed this book. Like all “dummies” books it starts form the very beginning for completely clueless individuals like myself and is very thorough. I would definitely put this on the must read list for beginners.

⭐ Being older and disabled, I wanted to gently get back into some kind of shape again. My flexibility has suffered as well as strength. Hatha Yoga is one of the best ways to handle this. The book is by noted experts, as are all of the “Dummy” series of books. I had no problem choosing this book to get re-acquainted with the subject. So far, I haven’t been disappointed.

⭐ After trying several videos, I decided to give this book a try and I am glad I did. It’s a great introduction to Yoga without a bunch of creepy hippie stuff. It describes each posture thoroughly and gives extra information where appropriate. Unlike a video, you can go at your own pace without feeling rushed or pressured.

⭐ It is very helpful to someone who hasn’t really done any research on yoga before, and really just wants to know alot about it. The nice thing about it is it gives you the choice to skip over the intense detail if you aren’t really into that sort of thing. I really enjoyed this book and it was a great start to understanding yoga more.

⭐ Good Condition and was what I expected.

⭐ Great book to get the basics. I read it before taking a 200-hour yoga teacher training, just to get my head into yoga a bit more, and found it helpful.
