⭐ Chase is the master story teller!

⭐ Would make a pretty goodHollywood film. I know. Iwas once hired to adapt it.But we took the wrong trail.I was asked to aim for PULPFICTION meets THE STING interms of tone, but we wouldhave been better laying upfor a modest, classy noir-ishatmosphere, which this nicelittle book is suited to. I caneasily envision Sidney Green-street as the corpulent & slightlycorrupt art dealer. C’est la vie. Istill like the characters & thebittersweet combination ofnihilism & optimism in thisstory that I recommend tofans of offbeat tales withcrime, innocence & a shotat redemption rolled in one.As to our misfire, I just smile& I think of Bogart when hesays that he moved toCasablanca because ofthe therapeutic mineralsprings. When told by ClaudeRaines that there are no springsin Casablanca, he dryly replies…“I was misinformed.”

⭐ Not quite the usual sizzling story of the time but still remains one of those unputdownable books of its era. It’s still a lovely read. Enjoy it!

⭐ James Hadley Chase: The supreme story-teller ….satisfaction guaranteed . The only problem I have with this guy’s magnificent tales is they are so absorbing and make one so eager to reach the always rewarding finale that I read them too fast.

⭐ Not yet read but knows it is a good one because I got stack of it none was bad. Question was if I could get any with a reasonably price. Check all over google none complete library available

⭐ I enjoyed so much reading it. The story kept me on edge and the sudden twists were excellent. Satisfactory Ending. A must read.
