⭐ It seems RL Stine has had to go a little bit weirder with his stories as the franchise continues. Makes sense, I’m not mad about it.This is really silly and grotesque all in one. The zombie jokes and the gross decaying corpses that we meet are good fun. I would have been all over this book in my tweens. I’m actually excited to read the other Most Wanted Special Editions now.

⭐ Once again R.L. Stine demonstrates how a master storyteller can quickly change the mood of a story in the blink of an eye. Full of unexpected twists and turns, Zombie Halloween doesn’t disappoint. This particular Goosebumps book is longer than most and has an extra dimension to its story due to it being broken into two sections; the first section is set in the past giving a strong foundation for the storyline and the other section jumps forward to the current situation at hand.My only criticism (and this is just a personal thing) is the frequency of the author’s use of the word dude. I’ve noticed this seems to be a trend while rereading Goosebumps as an adult. When encountering the word dude in a discriprion I feel the rhythm or flow of story is thrown off for some unexplainable reason. It just doesn’t seem to match the rest of the style of narrative. I feel that he could easily remedy this by switching the word dude out with the word guy and still convey the exact same message while remaining true to the tone of the narrative.That being said; I highly recommend this book, and all other Goosebumps titles, to anyone who enjoys an easy, thrilling, and fun read.

⭐ Delivery was fast, the thing I didn’t like is that the book is supposed to be new but when I took it out of the package it was already bent and the first page was creased, books are supposed to be in good shape all their lifespan. I got in the same bag another case of books wich are good cause they’re in a tin case,would have rate it 5 stars if this book wouldn’t have come bent
