⭐ Wildlife rehabilitation specialist, Audrey, rescues a strange looking wolf that apparently turns into a good looking guy, then proceeds to deal with the repercussions of the fact that she may turn into a wolf herself, and also have to hunt down another crazy werewolf.A really good thing about this story is the fact that you don’t get that cliche scene where there’s a lot of denial, and one of the main characters tries to throw the other one into an asylum or something. “Werewolves are real, cool, I can deal” is the gist of the scene after the big reveal. If only other books were like this.A weird thing about this story is the rather strange view of having siblings: “We’re pieces of the same heart. Our hearts just don’t beat for us, but for each other”. I have a sibling and I can tell you we can really get into each other’s nerves, and as kids my sibling used to try and stab me with a pencil. I don’t know if the author is an only child, but not all families are all lovey-dovey. Sometimes siblings can be jerks (not my sibling, but i know others who have this problem) and even completely psychotic (I may actually be this sibling…).There are also a bunch of awkward scenes throughout the book. There’s one where one character compares the other character to a previous lover in order to make things all right. I have no idea how that works but apparently it does. There’s also the kind of scene usually reserved for hardcore erotic fiction: where one main character tries to convince the other to bang in order to calm down, while all kinds of craziness is going on in the background. Again, I don’t have a single clue how that works.The thing is: I actually like this book. The premise and whole piece taken as an origin story for a series is kind of nice. The reason for the title of the piece, is such an interesting plot point not usually touched in a lot of werewolf love stories I’ve read before. I honestly want to check out the sequel just to find out what happens next.I’m just not fond of the execution. I had to skim a few paragraphs just to get through some of the more tedious areas full of tropes and just plain weird awkward moments.3 stars. It’s an ok start that makes me curious for the sequel.

⭐ Wow! When I bought First Moon for $0.99 I was no expecting the action packed awesomeness that I got, at all.Audrey got bit by a white overly large wolf. That same day she gets a call that someone was murdered and the police find another large black wolf in a cage inside the dead mans’ house. Taking the wolf home with her to figure out what’s with the strange wolf sightings and to fix the injured wolf Audrey is definitely in for the shock of her life when she discovers the wolf is actually a man who claims he is a werewolf, and she soon will be too.Wow just wow. I honestly can’t say that enough.First off First Moon was dual pov between Audrey who has a weight problem but is honestly the strongest character ever. I definitely wasn’t expecting that. She has a vulnerable side yes since she’s on the heavy side and extremely insecure about it. I honestly loved Audrey’s character and she was so easily relatable and I just loved being inside her head.Tao is the other pov we get and man oh man is he all kinds of sexy. I have to say I thought he was sexy from the first moment I started reading his pov. He is sweet and cares about his family above all else. He does everything he can to protect his insane brother from his pack while also protecting Audrey from his brother. He’s very torn between the two of them and I liked that he wasn’t overly willing to kill his family over a woman even though he grew to care for her a lot.So much action packed awesomeness. There’s fighting with an alpha. Someone loses a finger. Wolf on wolf and wolf on human fighting, so fantastic! I honestly love this novel it’s so fantastic. Plus the hot and heavy is really where Tao shines. He is all alpha male in the bedroom and it’s fantastic.I would seriously recommend this book. I have been on a bit of a werewolf kick these last couple weeks and this was one of the best out of the ten or so I read.Swoon:“No, you’re not the same, but you are just as beautiful as her. Beauty doesn’t have a size.” He opened the door then stepped into her bedroom, his blue eyes dark and stormy. “I’ve never looked at your size, all I’ve ever seen is how beautiful you are.”Teaser:She asked him where the wolf was and now he had to explain he was the wolf. He really did not want to have that particular conversation this way. The towel wasn’t just pink, it had mermaids on it.

⭐ The storyline is amazing!. With all Michelle Fox characters these are fantastic.Audrey a wild life rehabilitation specialist while working on some habitat restoration Audrey is bitten by a wolf.Later she is called to a crime scene by the Sherrif. It looks as though the victim was mualed by an animal, and the Sherrif hope Audrey can help identify what kind. While at the scene the Sheriff’s men discover a large wounded Black wolf with blue eyes in a cage. The Sherrif’s men wants to kill him, but Audrey takes him home instead. She leaves him in the cage for the night. During the night a large sound wakes her up. It turns out the wolf in the cage is gine , and in his place is a sexy naked man. Tao was on the trail of his brother Nick who has gone rogue when Nick attacks him. This causes Tao to be hurt and captured!. Nick is the same wolf who had bitten Audrey. Tao knows Nick will come for her only Tao will not let him have her!. Then Tao’ Alpha informs him either kill Audrey or Kill Nick. Now what is Tao going to do?.You will love this exciting, suspenseful, touching, and steamy hot Romance.

⭐ This book started out really interesting with a murder scene. At first, I thought the werewolf in the story would be the sheriff with the way Audrey was describing him.The way Audrey and the cops had found the wolf caged up in the dead guy’s house was a interesting interaction. Of course, the wolf, Tao, couldn’t speak to Audrey or the cops, but he was good at getting Audrey’s attention to help him out, especially since one of the cops was ready to put down the wolf, Tao. The cops probably thought Audrey was crazy to try to rehab the injured wolf after she was just bitten by another one.She had quite the surprise the next morning to find a naked man trying to escape the cage, rather than the black wolf with blue eyes she had in there the night before. Tao opened Audrey to the world of werewolves, one she’d be joining as well thanks to Tao’s brother.Tao and Audrey have to work together to hunt down Tao’s brother, Nick, to stop Nick from biting more people to create his own pack. Tao has some tough decisions to make. His pack’s Alpha wants him to kill Nick and all those Nick bite. Tao doesn’t want to kill Audrey or his brother.They have some pretty intense adventures to go through to try to save themselves from the situations they get into.My only wish is that there was more regarding the ending. I wish it didn’t just stop there.

To me it seems like Ms. Fox had everything together from the beginning. It was definitely a phenomenal 1st book of the New Moon Wolves Series.Audrey Levine is a very curvy big and beautiful, Park Ranger who was called by Sheriff Martin to come to a crime scene, for her expertise specialty on wildlife. With Blood everywhere she treaded lightly until the Sheriff called from inside the cabin. Walking into the garage was a cage but what was inside is what amazed her. Someone locked him up and must of forgot him, taking a good look at him made her realize this was not the Wolf that bit her. Plus the fact the one in the cage is black and the one that bite her was blonde.Tao Black was too hurt to change into his human form. In fact at this moment all he could think about is the smell Audrey was radiating, he could smell his brother Nick on her which meant he bite her. And second she smelt so good he was salivating. He wanted to be with her.. But he had to protect her from Nick who has now gone crazy and not only jeopardized there Pack but also spilling human blood. ⭐ When the disclaimer at the front part of the book says Minors should stop here and close the book, you kind of know you’re in for a pretty steamy read. And it was, but unlike some adult books, that part waits until almost half way through, which is refreshing in a book of this type. That being said, there is some falling in love pretty fast, going on in this book.Audrey is a park ranger in the wilds of upper Michigan. While at a murder scene, she comes face to face with a beautiful wolf, that had been caged by the victim. Because she is a wildlife expert, Audrey takes the animal to her home. It’s not long until the cage is full of a naked man. Tao had been hurt and unable to shift until he finds himself at Audrey’s home. It doesn’t take him long to realize that Audrey has been bit by a werewolf, but not just any werewolf, his brother Nick. Nick is on a rampage and intent upon forming his own pack. He is also intent upon Audrey being his mate, whether she wants him or not.The premise of the story was interesting to me. A crazy werewolf biting a bunch of people in order to form his own pack, was a new one for me. There was actually more world building then I thought there would be when I started reading this. The birth of the four brothers was pretty different as explained, and the fact that each brother had a different, special power added to the story.I liked the characters, but really thought that Tao was not as strong an alpha as he should have been, but only when it came to his brother. Usually it’s the female causing the problems that move a story along, but in this case it was Tao.This story could have been longer, with more suspense and a lot more world building, had the author wanted that. I found myself wanting more. Or maybe I am just used to books a bit deeper then this. Having said that, I would be interested in reading the next book in this new series. The author introduced us to Tao’s other two brothers and I am interested to see who the next book will be about.The only other thing I want to address is the BBW tag on this book. Audrey is not a skinny girl, and she has curves. I am not sure you should have to tag it with the Big Beautiful Woman tag and in fact, I wasn’t aware of it until I started reading, I guess I just don’t think it should matter, but that’s just my opinion.(3.5 stars on RabidReads rounded up to 4)

⭐ Here is a BBW, Aubrey that is believable and doesn’t go thru the whole book saying “I’m not worthy…or I’m too big” she has courage when she needs it and doesn’t let her size define her as a person. Tao is having to hunt his brother who has gone rouge and biting people all over this town, he bit Aubrey. Tao has to work against the clock or moon as it were to find him and bring him to justice for his pack Alpha and keep him from hurting Aubrey. Tao gets Nick, his rouge brother and his other two brothers finally show up and help him. Want say how it all goes down with his brothers , his pack Alpha, or Aubrey….you will have to read it for yourself. But that want be a problem. This was a wonderful shifter story….not all sex, just enough and the characters were very believable and had enough depth to get to know. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! Gosh I hope Michelle does some more….want to see how Aubrey and Tao get on …and his other two brothers….Kia and Leo. They seemed likeable and would love to get to know them also. First Moon will give you an enjoyable read about shifters and a good love story!!! You will be howling about it as soon as you read it!!! 5 stars for Michelle Fox……now to find some more of her books!!!

⭐ Audrey is a strong, no nonsense woman who must now face the very real possibility she will turn into a werewolf with the next full moon. a larger threat looms that involves brothers and their effect on Audrey. Will she have to choose between Nick, the wolf who bit Audrey and wants to claim her or Tao the wolf who wants to protect and love her.I love that this story takes place in my own backyard, in northern Michigan. I can walk with the characters as they traverse the same town and beaches I know so well. I can see in my mind’s eye the struggle between good and evil in a place of such beauty. I can only hope and wonder if I were to visit would I catch a glimpse of a black wolf, larger than most, with piercing blue eyes.I received this book as an ARC for an honest review

⭐ What an adventure these two go through. Aubrey is a park ranger who gets bitten by a wolf. She doesn’t think anything about it. When Tao went looking for his brother he didn’t expect to end up in a cage. When Aubrey gets on the scene she automatically is drawn to the wolf in the cage. What’s a ranger to do why take him home with her of course. When she wakes to find a naked man in the cage Aubrey’s life is forever changed. Not only is she becoming a werewolf but she learns she’s gonna be under the wolf who bit her control. Unable to deny him anything he wants. Tao understands how hard this must be for Aubrey. Tao knows he must kill his own brother to save his mate. Can these two come together and do what needs to be done or will everyone be at risk of losing there lives.

⭐ Nice read, with enough twists to keep you entertained. I enjoyed the relationship between H/H, both likeable and strong characters; and there were a couple of secondary characters from whom I would like to read about more, especially Tao’s brothers..Though it introduces characters that will have their own books, this one has not cliff-hangers. There is a “bonus” short story about Tao and Audrey – The Werewolf Proposal – which is short and – thanks – free.Overall an enjoyable read, would not go to my Kindle’s “Favorites” collection, but still a very good choice for those who like paranormal romance.
