⭐ I really love Anna Lowe’s “Twin Moons Ranch” books, but I didn’t really know anything about the “Shifters in Vegas” books, so when I saw that the first book was being re-released at a discount, I thought, “what the heck!” Kind of a no-brainer, when I already love the author.If you know anything about her other books, Miss Lowe’s Twin Moons books are really meaty. They have lots of action, drama, compelling characters, and complex plots (all things I adore). “Gambling on Her Dragon,” by comparison, feels much more light-hearted, even though there’s still great suspense and drama. Near the beginning of the book, Trey mentions his cousin, Lana, and I thought to myself, “hey, this is the same Trey, right? So that means he’s talking about the same Lana from Twin Moons Ranch?” and sure enough, later in the book my question was answered. (She doesn’t appear in this book, but the reference is there, making the connection and tying the Vegas books into the same Universe.)So the Vegas Shifters books are in the same world as Twin Moons Ranch, but the feel of the book is very different. It’s more light-hearted and faster-paced, which fits perfectly with the image of Vegas… in fact, “Gambling” feels like Shifters on vacation. Nice!Trey is a Wolf Shifter who’s been traveling west to the coast and ended up in Vegas quite by accident (yeah, sure, “accident” – if you know anything about Anna’s books, accidents just don’t happen), and ends up in a bit of a pickle. He crosses paths with Kaya, a Dragon Shifter, while playing poker. She realizes that he’s being targeted by unsavory Shifters and manages to get him out of harm’s way, with Trey drugged out of him mind, but otherwise, none the wiser. Of course, her Dragon and his Wolf are completely smitten, and complications kick in pretty much immediately, but that’s all part of the fun!There’s a car chase, Vampire vs. Wolf politics, underhanded dirty deeds, a girl in peril, fate, and True Mates all wrapped up in a deliciously fun and fast-paced bundle. “Gambling on Her Dragon” is a LOAD of fun, and a terrific start to a spin-off series. I love the “Twin Moon Ranch” books, and I think I’m going to love the “Vegas Shifters” books just as much, but in a different way. Kinda like I can love movies like “The Equalizer” as well as Jason Bourne, or James Bond: one is full of deep cerebral and emotional range, while the others are smart, but move MUCH faster and have more action scenes and comedy.Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot going on under the skin of “Gambling”, and I suspect that subsequent books will delve into the seamy underbelly of Vegas’ Shifter population, but like I said: it feels like a vacation. It’s a faster pace and a bit more light-hearted, but serious, life-changing things can still happen. Like fighting for your life, or finding your True Love. Which just goes to show that not everything that happens in Vegas stays there.

⭐ This one starts out hot! Kaya and Trey have a steamy connection! Unfortunately, things turn upside down when she steals from him to help her sister out of a jam. Not quite sure the sister deserves a nice sister like Kaya, but Kaya is loyal to those she loves. Loved the shifter aspect; Kaya is a dragon shifter and Trey is a wolf shifter. Thrown in a dash of vampire and your in for an entertaining story. Lots of action and lots of fun. Trey and Kaya find themselves in some very dangerous situations. A super sweet and sexy romance too! Looking forward to reading the next book!

⭐ I love Anna Lowe and her Twin Moon Ranch series and her latest Blue Moon Saloon series and was excited to read this one.Trey is a wolf shifter related to the Twin Moon Ranch series. He was in Las Vegas gambling and winning. However, he never realized that he was drugged while gambling.Kaya is in need of a lot of money to payoff the people who have kidnapped her sister. She sees Trey from a distance and is instantly mesmerized by him. Kaya sees what’s happening to Trey and is aware of how Las Vegas works. She takes him away only to spend a wildly exhausting night together in bed. The next morning the people who tried to drug Trey are coming to the hotel room when Kaya grabs the money and jumps from the window.Trey is devastated to watch her jump believing she’s plummeting to her death when she sprouts wings to become a beautiful dragon shifter. Trey then realizes she’s stolen his money and he has no way of contacting her. But he first has to battle against the goons that were drugging him last night as they burst through the doors to his room. I don’t want to give away much more but let me tell you, the adventure is only just beginning here and it’s one wild and crazy ride that you won’t want to miss. I never saw this adventures coming. From one minute to the next, I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Luckily in the middle of all this fun, comes some downtown for some more fun between the sheets (or shower, or…).What an awesome series!

⭐ Kaya is a dragon shifter and a thief. Trey is a wolf shifter visiting Vegas. He wakes up the next morning hung over with a beautiful woman in his bed. When the beauty takes his ninety thousand dollars he won, and jumps off the balcony, as bear shifters are breaking in, and flies off with his money. Her sister is being held because she owes some money to pay off her debts and if Kaya doesn’t deliver, she’s dead. But the wolf gets her car and is chased by gargoyles and then runs right back into her. They are deciding what to do when a pack of wolves shows up and takes them to their alpha. Now Trey has to fight to save their lives and Kaya’s sister too.Funny, sexy, and action. A dragon and wolf are mates . With a sister who causes all kinds of trouble.

⭐ I really enjoyed the second book in the Las Vegas series. It was fast-moving with a great story line and lots of hot sex. I did read the first book, but this one is stand-alone with only the Vegas connection.The book starts out with Trey, who we find out is a wolf shifter, waking up in bed with a woman and few memories of how exactly they got there. (Sound familiar?) His wolf doesn’t seem to care, and he isn’t sure if he should either. The sex feels right, who is he to argue?Kaya needs money to buy her sister’s freedom. Trey won a bunch of it in a poker game. But there are others watching Trey with even more sinister motives and Kaya feels an instant connection to him that she can’t explain. Waking up with him is a perfect beginning to the day. But there is all that much-needed money, and the sounds of someone breaking into the room are enough to spook her into leaving with the cash.Trey doesn’t believe his eyes when Kaya jumps from the balcony and proceeds to turn into a dragon and fly off. Isn’t that his bag she has? Now he sets out to find her and his wolf is cheering him on. Can he forgive her for running out on him? Can she trust him to help her get her sister back? Can a wolf and a dragon be together without killing each other? You will love the chance to find out the answer to these questions. I can’t tell you. That would be cheating. Was that a gargoyle I just saw? Are those things real?

Okay, there’s also a diamond and a need for revenge involved, if you must know. But it wasn’t that long ago that Karen and her sister, Kaya, and Kaya’s mate, Trey, (see Gambling on Her Dragon), barely escaped Vegas alive. So you’d think Karen would stay as far away as possible from that city. However, as much as her shifter side yearns to return to him, her human side believes their night together, and the words he whispered, meant more to her than to him, and the words were nothing but lies because he stood her up the next day.Tanner, a bear shifter, is determined to complete his clan’s mission for him. That plan, while thoroughly mapped out, did not include Tanner meeting his mate, a mate that his clan may not approve of due to her hybrid heritage, well specifically the half-witch part of her heritage, the half-dragon part isn’t an issue, as there’s a bit of bad history between the bears and witches. Both he and his bear know what Karen means to him, but the human side fights it, not believing fully in the legends if destined mates.Tanner struggles every day with not being near Karen, but he tells himself it’s for the best. ⭐ Kaya came to Las Vegas to free her sister but she had to get the money to do so she happened to be in the casino when she saw the hot sexy wolf shifter come in and sit down at a table and he seem to start winning and kept winning what he didn’t know was that he had been targeted by the bear shifters who worked for the underground pits where you fought and sometimes died. Trey came into the casino thinking that he would win the money that he would need to get the ranch that he always wanted he had been working with his cousin Lana at the ranch she lived on in Arizona she had warned him that he should not come down because of the Westend wolves were not like other wolves they were only about themselves and money only he didn’t listen and his drink was spiked he didn’t know it but he did know that he was spending the night with the hot woman who took his breath away the minute he saw her and she is taking him to her room Kaya was making sure that she lost the two bears before she got him to the room and she hadn’t intended to sleep with Trey but it was something about him that when they touches she felt shocked and she thought that it was nothing important but when he was waking up he had a terrible headache but he realized that their was a woman in his bed and when he put his hands on her he felt something too and they couldn’t stop what happened and next thing he was waking up again and he saw that the woman was on the balcony and he was laying there watching her when he heard the bears about to break into the room and they started beating on the door and the woman came back in the room looking frighten and then they looked at each other and she grabbed the bag and took a chair to the balcony and he thought she was going to jump and it scared the life out of him but when she jumped she flew and then she turned into a dragon and that blew him away too. This is a exciting, humorous and suspenseful romance about helping your family and falling in love and trusting when you find your true mate. Enjoyed it. I received a copy for an purchased this book a providing an honest review.

⭐ This story does not disappoint! This is the story of Trey, who is a wolf shifter and also Lana’s (of the Twin Moon Ranch series) cousin and Kaya a dragon shifter who was started out as a grifter in the casino that Trey was playing poker in until she caught wind of a more sinister plot. She saves a drugged Trey from some unscrupulous characters only to eventually lead him into a bigger mess. She was there to get enough money to rescue her sister but from the moment that she saw Trey, everything goes awry. The story of how these two get together and motivate each other makes for one fast-paced, action packed story that I happily read in a few short hours! The inner dialogue of Trey and his wolf is comical and lusty and Kaya’s dragon certainly has a one-track mind, too, when it comes to Trey although Trey’s wolf has most of the animal dialogue. I always enjoy the inner dialogues of Anna Lowe’s characters with their inner beasts.

⭐ Another good story By Anna Lowe.This book was steamy from the onset. Trey was a lone wolf passing through Vegas for a night on his way of hitchhiking to the west coast. Fortunately for him, he catches the eye of a female dragon shifter, or could be seen as unfortunate as she steals his winnings. Another unfortunate thing is he caught the eyes of some bear shifters who had tried to drug his drink to kidnap him to an underground fighting ring.Kaya catches them in the act and manages to pull one over on the bears at least long enough for Trey to have a fighting chance against the drugs. Though she didn’t think about being so wrapped up in him that everything she was planning on would prey on her mind.How will these two play out? Especially since she left not only her clothes behind, but her phone with the contact that she was dealing with? I guess you have to read to find out, it is definitely worth the time.

⭐ What’s a girl to do when her sister is on the line? In Gambling On Her Dragon it means either winning the needed money herself or finding someone who has already won and relieving them of it. Trey is on a winning streak at the tables, but wakes up the next morning with a hangover, some memory loss, AND a hot woman in his bed- who just happens to call to his wolf. After a hot round two, Trey reawakens to find two goons breaking into his room and Kaya jumping …wait, flying…off the balcony to escape with his money.Not willing to let things go, Trey fights his way out of that situation in order to find Kaya and his money. What else he finds may just surprise you.Loved it.
