⭐An amazing bargain ! All Rudyard Kipling’s works, Poetry, Novels, Novellae, short stories, and Journalism all in a single Kindle Book at a very low price. Also well illustrated as a bonus. He fell from favour for a while but is hopefully regaining his well deserved popularity. Meet Mowgli again, learn unlikely things about how animals got bits in Just So Stories. Explore the wonder of Puck of Pook’s Hill and Rewards and Fairies, eulogies on ancient England’s culture and folklore. Yup and after you do all that you have hardly started. And it is all HERE !Joy unbounded I have years of reading those works ahead of me thanks to KINDLE.

⭐I have read many of Rudyard Kipling’s poems throughout my life, and skimmed many more. Three of my favorites are ‘The Reeds of Runneymede’ The Rivers Tale’ and of course ‘Gunga Din’. There are many more, that spike the imagination, and it is well worth the time spent (or wiled away) to read one or two at random and enjoy the mind of this remarkable man. This is helped by being able to carry ALL in a Kindle in a pocket!

⭐Kipling is a very underrated poet and I particularly liked having all his poems in one volume. The alphabetical index is very useful too. Of course he is more famous for his novels and short stories and it was wonderful reacquainting myself with the Just-So stories, the Jungle Books and Puck of Pook’s Hill. The Kindle version is excellent for travel reading.

⭐I really appreciate having easy access Having tjhis one cannot answer the question, “Do you like Kipling?” with “I have never kippled.”.

⭐This is a very good addition to my growing Kindle Library. The typeface is a little murky (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) the book is relatively easily navigable from the contents page and it is pleasant to find that the illustrations that I recall so well from childhood have been retained. A real bonus is the section at the end of critical appreciations of Kipling by (inter alia) George Orwell and G.K.Chesterton.Happily Kipling’s reputation has been restored from the low point it unjustly (my opinion) suffered in the 1960s and 1970s. His tales are well written, lively and entertaining, Puck of Pook’s Hill, Jungle Book, Kim etc are still fresh and are still wonderful to read to children and/or grandchildren. As a freely downloadable Kindle book this is a bit of a treasure!

⭐I gave this 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations. I was looking for one of Kipling’ s poems but found this collection of his complete works. I was surprised and delighted by finding writing I never knew about, particularly the non fiction. It has given me a new view of Kipling; there’s more to him than the commonly held perception. As for technical matters, there are what seem to be the usual Kindlesque transcription glitches here and there but nothing to worry about.

⭐Great to have access to nearly everything Kipling wrote, including his travel writing, such First World War books as ‘The History of the Irish Guards’, his autobiography, speeches and even criticism. Good to have the alphabetic and chronological list of stories as well. Unfortunately it is missing his last story ‘Proofs of Holy Writ’, a lovely valedictory work which was never published in any collection. Since it came out in 1934 this can hardly be a copyright thing.A few of the problems noticed in earlier reviews (not all) are still present: also the illustrations are reproduced in so small a size that in many cases it was not worth the trouble. Overall however this is an absolutely invaluable single source for Kiplings works.

⭐A recent chat with a neighbour renewed my interest with Kiplings work, so I decided to refresh my knowledge. I had only read his better known works, so I wanted to read some of his other writings.I have now read some of his lesser work and they are equally as interesting.I recommend this compilation.

⭐Kipling is I think greatly underrated today apart from some hackneyed bits and what is worse in places corrupted by disneyfication,but when read with an open and perhaps tolerant eye contains much remarkable observation of the state of thee world in his time.So there…..
