⭐Introduces children to different number bases, which is very unusual. It shows some number patterns and digital roots. This is the really special aspect of this book. There are also games, puzzles and so on. By a mathematician and illustrated by his wife.

⭐Great math trick book for 14 year olds. Had one whei I was 14 and enjoyed all the tricks and games.

⭐My father gave me this book in 1958. It inspired me to think more about things in terms of numbers and puzzles. I truly believe it started my interest in perception, and being aware of how people use abstract reasoning to solve problems. I think it changed my life and my ability to understand the world in a new way and increased my general I.Q. at the time. That is quite a bit for a 123 page book! Good illustrations and index.The puzzles, riddles and tricks are not all about numbers. It is fun and entertaining. A perfect gift for a young person.

⭐I remember this book *well* from my elementary school days. I wore my brother’s copy to pieces and had to buy a second one. Card tricks, games, puzzles (including instructions for building your own Chinese Ring Puzzle, whose quickest solution is the Gray-code sequence of binary numbers), all ways to impress your friends based on math. Unlike the Elkin Park reader, I would give this book to *every single child* in elementary school. I can’t believe it’s out of print… maybe the two of us should buy the rights.

⭐I got my hands on this book when I was a kid and found a great aid. II rece4nt bought copies for my grand kids.
