Description

Cosmos Raines is one of the most brilliant inventors in the world, but his most profound creation must be hidden from Earth’s people. Already he has lost control of the Gateway, and he doesn’t want it to get worse! Not only has his best friend and her family moved to a new star system through his invention, but he now has a warehouse full of alien guests, including one beautiful female he can’t stop thinking about.

In Baade, females are so few in numbers that they are protected to the point of captivity. Terra ‘Tag Krell Manok has spent her life in the shadows of her three older brothers and her father, Teriff, the high chancellor of Prime and a fierce warrior in his own right. No one defies Teriff and lives, but he has to deal with political machinations just like any other leader, which is why he sends his daughter through the Gateway. A clan is insisting that she be mated to one of their own, and Teriff needs to buy some time. The last thing Terra expects to find on the other side of the Gateway is her bond mate – in the form of a human male!

Cosmos may not have been expecting the woman of his dreams to be an alien, but he knows one thing for sure – no one is going to take her away from him, not the clan who wants to use her nor her father who thinks all human males are worthless.

Internationally acclaimed S.E. Smith presents a new action-packed story full of romance and adventure. Brimming with her signature humor, vivid scenes, and beloved characters, this book is sure to be another fan favorite!

Review If you have not read the three previous books you need to stop right now. This is a well-written intricate series of books that pick up where the previous book left off, so it is definitely not a standalone. Cosmos made an appearance in the first and subsequent books and is the reason for all the ruckus. The portal he created brought humans and Prime into contact and the rest is history. Prime have a population problem that human women can help fix, and we are more than compatible. Cosmos found out in the last book that he and Terra, daughter of the high chancellor of the Prime, are bonded mates. Problem is Daddy doesn’t want his daughter mated to a scrawny human. Bigger problem is Cosmos isn’t going to take no for an answer, and he’ll show it takes more than brawn to protect a woman. This was another story that I devoured in this series, and look forward to many more. Both Cosmos and Terra were well-defined as people, but Cosmos a little more so since the reader has had much more interaction with him throughout the books. There is a sense of humor prevalent throughout the books and this one in particular when it comes to punishing the high chancellor for his egotistical behavior concerning his daughter. As usual, there is lots of build up to the big sexual bonding as well as updates on the previous romances and how they are coming along. A long-running story line came to a conclusion in this book and I have to wonder where the author is going to go next. – Night Owl Reviews From the Author Cosmos’ character came about as a mixture of nerdy scientist with a core of steel. I loved his fun attitude, his desire to learn and his intelligence but I also loved the feelings he had for his friends and family. In this story, I knew Cosmos needed someone who was just as intelligent, just as caring but also someone who could not only challenge him but support him at the same time. When I first started writing Terra, I was concerned that she would come across as weak. That is, until I saw her with her older brother Mak. She understood him and fought for him. Right then, I knew she was the perfect mate for Cosmos. One huge problem was getting Teriff, Terra’s father, to accept that Cosmos could be a strong enough ‘warrior’ to protect Terra. Cosmos was a human male after all. It was important to show the strenght of his character and find that perfect balance where he could earn the respect of the Prime males. I think anyone who reads Cosmos’ Promise can agree that he was able to do that. From the Inside Flap A peek inside the emotions of Cosmos’ Promise…Cosmos leaned back against the brick wall, letting his head fall back as tears burned his eyes at the thought of his father’s lifeless body being placed on display. He bit his fist to keep the rage and sorrow from giving him away.Cosmos, I’m here. Terra’s voice caressed his mind. Do not let him win. Your father cannot hurt any longer. His soul is free and cannot be touched. It is only the shell that remains.God, Terra, it hurts so much, Cosmos moaned silently as pain flooded him. I know, my love, Terra murmured.

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ When I received the email for the first book in the series about Tink, I was not sure if it was something I could get into , I usually read military romance, or family romance, Christian romance. I HAVE TO SAY AFTER READING TINK,s story I went and purchased the other books. Have a hard time putting them down. On number 4 now. I would RECOMMEND this series to all who enjoy, strong alpha men but also very STRONG women. With some humor tossed it, can not help but LOVE RITA and her escapades. If you want to meet RITA, you learn to love her you need to read these books. They are GREAT.BERNADETTE

⭐ As Cosmos is the person who built the gateway I’ve been waiting for his story & it was awesome! Terra is the sister of J’Kar, Borj & Mak; she’s also just as intelligent as Cosmos but just in a different scientific way. Terra was sent to Earth 1st to protect her from being forcibly mated on her planet but while there becomes mated to Cosmos & her father, Teriff after being in many battles on Earth with evil men has decided that daughter wasn’t going to mate with a human male. From that moment on especially as he sent Terra somewhere else on Baade for her “protection” & when his wife found out about it along with RITA2 his life becomes hell. & also the promise that Cosmos made to Terra starts to come into play as Cosmos is more than what people see him to be. This story has lots of experimental technology in it, lots of sex scenes, the good vs bad element in it, lots of fight scenes, matings & hot sexy Aliens.

⭐ I absolutely love that this series is because of a genius from Earth is the one who has made contact with the alien race instead of the other way around!!! S. E. Smith is absolutely innovative in her ideas for space travel that connects with a planet that is grievously lacking in women to bond with and I would be considered completely remiss if I didn’t give my stamp of approval to recommend that everyone who loves a great story and especially one that is dealing with the most perfect type of love that connects two people heart, body and mind!!! This book and series is one of the most intriguing and wonderful creations of the mind that I have ever had the privilege and pleasure to be able to read and I am completely serious about the need for you to go out and get this series for your own personal enjoyment and then you will find yourself curled up in your favorite chair reading about these amazing people and wishing you were there and a bond mate of one of those gorgeous warriors yourself!!! Believe me when I say that you will thoroughly enjoy reading this series and I know that you will read it over and over again!!! Happy Reading to all of you who are smart enough to know what a great story is all about, I know that I do, because I have read more than 40 000 books in my life and this is one of those rare series that get stuck in your head and you will find yourself searching for them on your kindle or on your library shelf!!!Lena deLeonlenadeleon2004.ld@gmail.com

⭐ Since I read the previous books I was waiting and wondering how the author was going to proceed with Cosmo’s story. It was worth it!! We already knew that Cosmo is extremely intelligent and we had a glimpse of his other connections in Tansy’s Titan: Cosmos’ Gateway Book 3 . In this story we learn how Cosmo has a network of friends and partners to do good. There is also a lot of action in this novel and we see how strong Cosmo works toward his goals in making Earth a better place. We know and expect a happy ending between Cosmo and Terra. The exciting part is how he accomplished this and at that point in the book we are only halfway! What makes this story special is that we also learn about Cosmo as a son, friend and mate and how he strives in what he believes and fights to keep his loved ones safe. Not every novel keeps me “linked” to the character and makes me feel in his shoes. The story has funny characters and scenes, as well as serious ones. It includes laugh, tears, love, sadness and hope in a balanced setting. You could read this story stand alone but I strongly suggest that you read the previous books first.

⭐ I was so disappointed. It didn’t feel like Cosmos was the hero of his own book. Many of the books talked about how much good he had done and how brilliant he is and how hard he works to save so many people, but he still needed a bunch of warriors with swords. Worried about something getting into the wrong hands? That is what a self destruct is for. Still, I love (most) of the characters. But I felt so sorry for Cosmos. I wanted him to have a chance to really show off. I had a hard time believing that he would tolerate his personal computer systems being run by an AI that he could not control. He was just doing too much he needed to keep secret.Terra has the one strong male in the series that will respect her wishes from the start, not after a big fit, and while she is surprised she likes sex with the one strong male in the series that doesn’t seem to harbor the believe that sex is for a mans pleasure, I don’t think that got nearly enough mileage. In the first book, the portal keyed in on Tink’s DNA to open where she was while the warship was flying through space. In this book they couldn’t do that with Terra?Personally, I think the fact that Prime women can have orgasms should have come out in this book, not the first one.

⭐ Cosmos life was never simple. Rich and highly intelligent he uses his inventions to help people. His latest invention the gateway was suppose to transfer people to different areas on earth. Not to another galaxy (reaching out and touch someone has a whole new meaning now ). Now his warehouse is full of aliens from another world that are driving him crazy. One Amazon in particular.Terra was sent to earth for her own safety. The last thing she expected was finding her mate. A human one at that ( remember that prime males are huge and make human males look like wimps ).Cosmos has to convince Terras’ family, especially her father that he is the perfect mate for her. When Terra gets kidnapped, he’ll show what this brainiac is capable of.

⭐ This book had me on the edge of my seat. It is dangerous and romantic. It is a story of humans and aliens and it is very very sexy. I have read all the books in this series. The couples continue from one book to the next. Book 1 is regarding a couple, in book 2 there is another couple and the couple in book one continues into the next story. It is a fascinating concept. The books will have you on your seat and the end of the last book is wonderful. All of the books deserve 5 stars on their own. ENJOY.

⭐ Although I enjoy all her books, the Cosmos Gateway series has a special place in my thoughts and heart as Tink’s Wonderland was the first S.E. story that I read. Meeting Tink and RITA and those prime warriors, I was hooked. Any spelling errors, word choices, grammar etc were heavily outweighed by the story and characters presented in Tink’s Wonderland. The author’s writing skills have grown with each book without losing the soul of the unfolding story.Cosmos’ Promise continues the story of the Baade Prime Warriors and their interactions with earth, with the focus on revealing more of Cosmos and Terra’s plans, thoughts and emotions and showing that they are really meant for each other. All the old favorites are back and as always, we get glimpses of other potential tales, either as a short story or novel – Runt, Avery, Rico, Garrett to name a few. Merrick’s book is already planned and eagerly awaited. My desire to take time to savor the story and characters was derailed by my need to know more NOW once I started reading. Oh well, re-reading is fun too.cross-posted Amazon, Goodreads, Shelfari

⭐ Cosmos’ Promise is S.E. Smith’s fourth book in her Cosmos’ Gateway series. The book can be read as a standalone but to get a better understanding of the back story, I highly recommend reading the other three books first.I absolutely loved Cosmos’ Promise. I found it very unique in that the main character and focus of the story was the hero Cosmos. Usually in romance books the heroine is the main focus but in this story it was definitely all about Cosmos, which I totally loved this different perspective. We learned plenty about Terra the heroine but she definitely didn’t get much book time as Cosmos. If you are at all familiar with S.E. Smith’s writing style then you know that she has perfected the art of introducing secondary characters. I am in a love/hate relationship with this art because I absolutely want to read about all these secondary characters but I have no patience to wait for S.E. Smith to write their stories. I want their stories now :-)!

⭐ Science, romance, sci-fi, kick-ass male and female warriors, action, retribution…..Cosmos’ Gateway has it all. If you haven’t started reading this series, start now. S. E. Smith has again presented us with a great story and all the rest mentioned above. DON’T MISS IT
