⭐ MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS – I can understand why most people were upset with the wrap-up to this awesome series – it is quite a letdown after all the build up & anticipation. The reason why Silas & Charlie are losing their memories every two weeks? No voodoo curse, not an alien invasion, no paranormal or supernatural influence. It is because fate is way off course for Silas & Charlie as their families are pitted against each other & it has torn Silas & Charlie apart. OK whatever, a bit lame. And I know Colleen Hoover is pretty YA in her take on a physical relationship between two 17 year olds so I didn’t get the sexual details I was hoping for – no surprise there. The only way Charlie can get her memories to stay past the two week time period is to fall in love with Silas all over again. The memories of how she fell in love with Silas as a young girl combined with Silas’ new methods of getting Charlie to fall for him again are what make this book so special. I was surprised that the epilogue almost dropped my review to 3 stars, I’m usually all over a good epilogue but sadly this one continues with the ridiculous storyline & I hated it. I would have liked to have had my mind blown like it was in the first two books but I still can’t deny the sweetness that surrounds these two kids, Charlie with her snarky sarcasm & Silas with his pure devotion & hotness.

⭐ I love to read and have made a ton of Kindle book purchases. This was probably one that I felt was money the least well spent! Not only do they make what could have absolutely been one book into three, making you purchase all three to get to the end, but then you are 100% disappointed at he end! I had to buy all three to get the whole story but I wish I had never bought any of them. This story line is so far fetched, under developed and juvenile at best. I do not typically write negative reviews, but if I can save someone else from spending the $9, it is worth it! Sorry but I can not recommend these books.

⭐ Ah, the long-awaited Part Three of Never, Never finally got released. Will we finally get to understand what happened to Silas Nash and Charlie Wynwood, and more specifically why they lose their memory every 48 hours?Funny thing is, I can kind of relate to Charlie and Silas because I really had to try hard to remember what happened in Part One and Part Two because otherwise Part Three would have made very little sense to me. After all, Never Never: Part Three picks up exactly where Part Two left off, and there is no easing you into what had happened before. Either you remember or you just read the previous parts again.Anyway, once you gain back your memory, you’re ready to go and follow them in their quest. Again, Charlie and Silas are being hinted at quite a couple of things and have difficulties finding out which hint to focus on first. But somehow they just make it and all is good in the world again, and they lived happily ever after. Okay – this is an abridged version. But I couldn’t possibly tell you anything without spoiling the story to you.Honestly, I still think the Never Never Series came with some really good ideas. I absolutely loved the mystery that was built around Charlie and Silas losing their memories, and all the different “side-stories” that brought them closer to understanding what exactly happened. And on top of just bringing them closer to the root cause, their common investigation also brought them closer to each other. That, combined with the cliffhangers at the end of every book just accounted for a HUGE buildup. But well, in the end of Part Three, once the big “secret” is finally revealed, the reader is just disappointed because honestly? This reveal was just ridiculous. Over the top. I don’t really know what I expected, but I certainly did not expect that – poof, with such as an ease – they’d found a reason for what happened, and that it seemed so very obvious.“Maybe it has nothing to do with us, and everything to do with us.”I just felt that the ending wasn’t given as much thought as it would have deserved, and the epilogue was rather… meh. It’s really a shame because the story had a real good potential, and I think part of the reason why it didn’t keep its “wow” effect was because it was sectioned in 3 different parts which made it difficult for the reader to connect back… Maybe one day I’ll read them all in a sitting and think differently, but right now I can’t say I’m wooed.

⭐ Ah, the long awaited ending to Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher’s Never Never saga. I think calling it a saga is pretty apt. Three parts, albeit short, but with so much in them you cannot help but be enthralled by Silas and Charlie. Two teens who keep losing their memory and have to figure out why this is happening to them. As they figure out how and why they fell in love in the first place, they start to fall in love all over again. Can I tell you how much I was excited to read Part Three? The ending. It was supposed to wrap everything up. Silas and Charlie were supposed to find out why they lost their memories. They were supposed to figure everything out, really. And they did, but the book left more questions than it answered. The authors, in my opinion, also gave a really crappy reason for the memory loss. I mean, seriously! It was cliché and a total let down. But we’ll get to that later. At the end of Part Two, we see Silas and Charlie getting ready to lose their memories again as they kiss. As Part Three opens up we see that Silas actually hasn’t lost his memory this time but no one knows why. He hides it from Charlie because he doesn’t want to scare her, but let’s be honest, it would have been better to be truthful upfront. All it did was create unneeded drama, and if there’s one thing I hate…. But I digress, Silas remembers everything now. He remembers Charlie and their lives before the first time their memories were ripped from them.I was excited, we were finally getting somewhere! With one of them with their memory back it was only time before the other did. And the story didn’t really disappoint yet. Charlie was able to figure out some things, mostly dealing with her kidnapping, and her dad. It was interesting, but not really apart of why they lost their memory. I don’t even know if it showed growth because we only got snippets of their lives before the amnesia and nothing truly concrete at that. But whatever, I was still along for the ride. And then, we get that ending. I mean, what. The. Hell? They lost their memories because they fell out of love with each other? Give me a break. They fall back in love with each other and everything is magically okay? What does this tell teens reading these books? That love is everything? Yeah, no. Sorry, not buying this. Also, I’m all for cheesy romances but there was no reason for this serial to even go there! All this build up, this mystery for such a let down? I have no words to really describe how I’m feeling about this.I think if you’re more than happy reading a serial by these two beloved authors and you’re okay with loose ends, you’ll love it. But otherwise, I’d personally stay away. There was just too much of a letdown with that ending.

⭐ The original review can also be found at: […]What?! This was the most cutest frigging piece of original fluff I’ve ever read! Ugh! I can’t! They should publish another book. One that contains all of the letters/diary entries/pictures used. Because man! Wouldn’t that just be amazing! I’d leave it on my coffee table so I could read it every time I walked by… and I guess for guests too…It’s so cute I wanna vomit. Yes. Just YES!Updated note: Okay I feel like I have to address the obvious which I hinted at before but should probably be stated firmly:This ENTIRE work…. is a piece of original fluff .A lot of people were disappointed in the ending. Honestly, I was also disappointed. As soon as the word (view spoiler) came into the picture I was like “oooooh….no. they didn’t.” And it’s true. It’s cheesy. A bit insulting. And completely falls flat of the humongous build-up. But that’s only if you go into it blind like …well everyone did. But! If you were to read this series knowing that it was fluff then I feel like you could really and truly enjoy it for it is.As it stands I can’t blame the people who are pissed off, confused, and left wanting. But at the heart of my curiosity this whole year was this stupid cute relationship. So I have to say though the plot just FAILED miserably in this last installment, I was still a very content and happy camper! Hence my positive review 🙂 Now if you’re looking for a story with plot and intrigue with everything nicely tied together and packaged with bow–and also featuring a character that resembles Silas ;)–then I suggest the book Confess by Colleen Hoover. I loved it. If you’re feeling sore about this book that one will make up for it.Think of this book as like….the written counterpart of the movie Next starring Nicholas Cage. Amazing concept, great movie…but that ending? I wanted to break my television and throw it out of the window. And yet every time it’s on cable I watch it. Because it’s good…until it’s not. This is true with Never Never. But again…this is a piece of original fluff and should be read like one or you will be so very, VERY disappointed. You have been warned! Now. I’m going to go back and revel in the fluff that is the stupid cute letters of these two adorable characters.

⭐ First of all, I’m giving this book 3 1/2 stars. Review may contain SPOILERS, so proceed with caution. Both of these authors are tremendous storytellers. What they did with this series had some really epic moments. The entire first book especially. That was wild and out there. You didn’t have any idea what was going on, but you loved the ride.Book two was a gateway to reach the conclusion. Had it been a full length novel, perhaps it wouldn’t have felt like as much filler to get to book 3.Storyline, part three brought us back to why we cared about Silas and Charlie in the first place. You saw their connection growing throughout the story. So as you’re nearing the end, you expectations for the conclusion are pretty high.Unfortunately, for me, the conclusion fell flat. You read into it what you want and that’s what happened. There was no real definitive answer for all the clues and mystery leading up to it.Some readers may enjoy that kind of conclusion, but I’m a reader who needs her stories to be based on reality. Or at least make the non-reality of the situation more believable. If that makes any sense. And the epilogue. Don’t get me started. What the what? I was only pleased with one aspect of it. Without actually spoiling it, I’ll just leave it at that.It was a good series, but I wish it was just a little bit more.

⭐ This series was an odd one. The first book had me confused and disliking the characters, but I was interested. The second book had me liking Silas and throwing around theories. And then the third came out.Whereas the first two had intrigue and mystery, the third felt just like a sappy teen romance novel. Now, I’ve never read any other of Fisher’s works, but I’ve read all of Hoover’s and I know that there’s talent in this writing so I expected to be blown away and shocked by the big reveal. When the “theory” of their memory loss was first presented, I scoffed. No way would the authors go that route. It’s too, umm…, wishy-washy, for lack of a better term. But alas…The reasoning behind everything just made no sense. In a sense I felt let down by it all. Here was a series that was so unique in it’s plot and there’s so much information being thrown around and that’s what the author’s chose to do with it?It wasn’t horrible. I did enjoy the story, even if I didn’t like one of the main characters. But the ending was weak.

⭐ It’s hard to review this book without talking about the first two in the series. Basic plot line; two teenagers, Charlie and Silas suddenly cannot remember who they are or anything about their lives. They remember other things such as how to drive and song lyrics, but not themselves and not each other. They realize that before this happened, they had been in love and together for the past 4 years. The first two books are spent piecing things together to try to figure out what is happening and why every 48 hours at the same time, they loose their memories again. The third book, brings a conclusion as to why this is happening. However, I am very critical about book endings and this book has a terrible ending. If the authors had ended it on the last chapter and not included the epilogue, it might have gotten a slightly higher rating. But even then, it just stops. We get a conclusion but are left with a ton of open-ended questions. This is also a book that is trying to be a mystery/thriller and it really doesn’t accomplish it in the end. I kept waiting for the big plot twist or something to happen and it just never really happened. It could have been good with the New Orleans voodoo stuff mentioned throughout the books. Also, there is absolutely no reason that this series needed to be split into 3 short books, in fact, I think it would have worked better as 1 novel. I’m not sure if this was some sort of marketing decision.

⭐ Ok so I don’t usually write reviews but I felt so invested in this series that I needed to write about my feelings when I finished the books.WARNING THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS The first book I was hooked with from the start, I was just as curious as Charlie and Silas to find out why they lost their memories. Great book The second one I was sad that there wasn’t much of Charlie in the story, it was mostly Silas trying to find her and when they do convince her she can trust him. Now the third one!! I was excited to FINALLY get the answers about their parents and how they were going to become better people (like Charlie making sure Jeanette had fun on her birthday even though they spent the day in the car driving to the prison.) I also liked the twist about Charlie’s dad… I agree that Silas making Charlie fall in love with her again by doing things he did in the past was a bit pre teenage but I also thought it was adorable… It made you fall in love with both of them and let’s you to start rooting for them as a couple. The thing I didn’t like was that Silas remembered everything after he told Charlie, ” never never.” I was really hoping that’s what Charlie would say to Silas right before the eleven o’clock mark on their perfect day, but that’s not why my rating is why it is. I rated it three stars because you never find out why they had mud and blood on their clothes and sheets the night before, they don’t wrap up the story about how Charlie and her family deal with the shrimp and her mom, and it’s not really clear if Charlie and Silas remember their past as well as what they just went through or just their past… Also after reading the epilogue… I just shook my head cause I couldn’t believe they would actually do that… Apparently it’s genetic to fall in love with your soulmate at a young age and then lose your memorie of them when things get a little hard????????

⭐ Actual rating 3.5 stars.I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this final installment of the Never Never series after loving the first two books so much. It had all the mystery, sass and heart of its predecessors, but there was something lacking…For one, Silas remembers. And though it is a key point in the plot, at first it felt like a cheap storytelling tool. But this argument only stands if you look at ‘Never Never part 3’ as a book – not the third part of one book. Colleen Hoover was contractually restricted from co-authoring with another writer outside of her publishers catalog, so this method of three small novellas was a work around.Another aspect was the solving of the amnesia mystery. Although I didn’t hate it, it lacked some punch. We had all this angst and conspiracy theories being thrown about in the first to installments, so it would have been fantastic to still include some of these elements. Or alternatively, leave something unsolved or open ended, give one of the elements its own subplot. Many characters and theories (like the voodoo angle) were completely ignored in part 3, which were the things that had grabbed my attention in the first place, so I felt a little ripped off that I was left hanging. (Me loves some paranormal stories 🙂 )Ultimately, the conclusion felt “nice.”Though, I will say I lurved the character development. Especially that of Charlie. We see a different version of her in each book. Every time her memory is taken, that whole nature vs nurture aspect comes into play in forming her personality. There are certain traits that are intrinsic to her character, and the others grow from her experiences. It was captivating to read her reactions each time she woke with a clean slate and how those first events shaped her opinions for the next 48 hours. If this series ever gets a bind up, it will be a completely different reading experience, and I am planning to re-read these end-to-end again at a later date to see if my opinion differs to the initial read. Great, quick paced novel with a paranormal element I’d recommend to all my friends.
