“I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book it is a great balance of humour, love and intrigue. Once I started to read it I did not want to stop, and I did not. I turned every page until the end, I could not put it down. It featured an uncommon theme for BBW romance within the book of burlesque and magic which added to the romance of the story and the characters themselves and was all written beautifully. This story is through the eyes of a BBW and you feel as though you are there with her. The attention to detail and setting was well written and you could visualise the scenes perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it made me smile and showed that size is not a limit to love and sexyness. I would highly recommend this book as a feel good and pleasurable read. ⭐ I read the first book, the part that ended in a “cliffhanger” (I guess that was a freebie from somewhere), Then, I bought this “set” that had no cliffhanger and completed the whole story. Meh. The good part was in the first “freebie” novela. The last two parts did not hold a candle to it. The story line was so-so after initial kidnapping. It had promise, it had potential. It just fell flat. There was only a little more sizzle after the big bang. I was very disappointed, I expected things to ramp up, not back down. The potential of a good terrorist plot was there, but Frankie just wasn’t cutting it… The car chase…. nope. Fell flat for me. Very disappointing. There was some really great writing, some really great potential, then, it fizzled away.

⭐ This story is about Ruby who just loves her sequins!!! She learns to be a seamstress and heads to New York only to fall on her face that’s when she learns of Cirque D’Amour. That’s where she meets Lilli a Burlesque dancer for the cirque, she also finds herself pinning for a magician named Blake, there are bad guys and ruby ends up in Morocco in the fight not only for her life but that of Blakes and Lilli also.That’s where this story takes off. There is drama and passion and adventure, and international intrigue.I really in joyed this book. I enjoyed the writing style of Michelle Fox, and I like how Ruby character really showed thought. Michelle does a good job of keeping your heart on edge though out the whole book.

⭐ Michelle Fox transports us to paradise. The drama, suspense, intrigue and romance sweeps us off our feet. Gave the book 5 stars for the visual euphoria that you imagine in your head. True authors make you feel the words and your imagination runs wild. Ruby Palmer, curvy, sexy and sassy prefers to live in the shadows. When she signed on to be a seamstress with the Cirque D’Amour she had no idea what awaited her in the event of an accident. Being thrust into the spotlight. She knows the Burlesque routine, the show must go on, for tonight is the season finale. Having spend months pining over the sinfully sexy magician. Can she perform her routine? And will she let insecurities hold her back?.Blake Cannon ,handsome, cunning and aloof is the illustrious magician for Cirque. But this sexy devil has a few secrets and he pull out all the stop. As the Cirque runs it’s final show of the season, he convinces Ruby to go along. Never knowing what lies ahead.As these two grow closer will the lies or half truths tear them apart?The sex was beautiful and sensuous.The book was exciting, thrilling and exhilarating. ⭐ I read this book as part of the boxed set Star Crossed, which I received an ARC copy of in exchange for my honest review.Operation: Burlesque was full of action and adventure. What starts out as two individuals working for the circus, one as a costume designer and the other a magician, quickly turns into a fight for their lives (as well as that of one of their fellow circus performers, the burlesque dancer). Ruby’s fascination with bling and sparkle started young and entailed her bedazzling everything. It was this love that led her to become a costume designer with the circus. After starting with the circus, Lilli (the burlesque dancer) takes her under her wing and they become fast best friends (despite the fact that the performers and crew don’t usually mix). Ruby has watched Blake from afar for quite sometime (and little did she know he was watching her too). He is an undercover agent for the government masquerading as a magician with the circus. It is via him that Ruby (and later Lilli) get pulled into the danger that is his life, landing the women in Morocco (via kidnapping). The book featured several steamy sex scenes between Ruby and Blake. I liked this book. It was cute and an interesting enough story, but it didn’t have me absolutely riveted the entire time. Against the odds, Blake and Ruby do find their HEA and the book ends with no cliffhanger.

Ok got that out of my system.This book tells the story of a woman who as a little girl, all she would do would sew and be the sequin princess and her mom ended up being her sequin enabler . Well This little girl dreamed of making outfits for the bigtime shows and hitting the bigtime –bigtime namely being Broadway. But things just didn’t work out the way it was supposed to. Ruby headed to New York and somehow found herself working for the carnie after her job on Broadway fell thru—she becomes the seamstress for the Cirque d’Amour where she meets the man who changed her life-Magician BlakeBlake led Ruby thru an adventure that would last several lifetimes. She was shot at, threatened, kidnapped…Her friend Lilli from the circus told her that Blake would be one to change her life and that he did. There are LOTS of twists, turns, secrets, car chases, kaBooms—All I can say is that I love this book and I definitely hope the author writes Lilli’s book. I can feel her story. I know she has one and it needs to be told.There is passion, there is magic, there is betrayal, there is every emotion pretty much known in this story and I was on the end of my seat while reading Operation:Burlesque. Kudos to the author for expressing thru her written words the characters feelings while having us, the readers experiencing the characters feelings, for I surely was. I keep going back and re-reading this book because I really enjoyed reading the magic in this story.My rating: 5 stars *****

⭐ Ruby loves sequins and sparkles. After her job on Broadway falls through she becomes the seamstress for the Cirque d’Amour. There see finds her libido lit by the magician, Blake Cannon. After one-night Blake disappears and it seems Ruby knew nothing about him and her lack of knowledge gets her in a lot of trouble. Kidnapped and taken to Morocco she has to survive to make it back home but will she be able to escape her captors, find the American embassy, and find a life that includes Blake?I loved this book. I loved Ruby and the fact that she is not tiny and petite. She is also spunky and does what she must to survive. She thought that Blake never knew she watched his act each night but finds out he was a fascinated by her as she was him. Blake is harder to capture. At times I loved him. At times I disliked him. He never gave Ruby a straight answer until Ruby makes decisions he does not like. Both are strong personalities. Their character development was well done.The story is full of action and adventure. Some of it over-the-top since Ruby does not have any special training but it gives life to Ruby and I had a real sense of her and her strength, intelligence, and abilities. I had a hard time putting this down so I read it in one sitting. I wanted to know what happened.The secondary characters were an eclectic mix–some good, most evil. I loved Lilli, Ruby’s friend and the woman who taught Ruby she could succeed anywhere she wanted. Ruby and Lilli are opposites. Their friendship is strong and believable. I’d like to see Lilli get her own story. She sounds fascinating.This is a good, fun read. I loved the tongue-in-cheek humor of Ruby’s thoughts as she goes through the story, occasionally speaking it aloud. It fit Ruby and made me chuckle. I’m looking for more reads from Michelle Fox.I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

⭐ This very fast paced read is full of rich descriptions of locations that they travel to, light suspenseful intrigue and hot love scenes.I love the versatility of this author. She continues to amaze me with her wide variety of book series. This book really caught my attention since I sew costumes for several circuses and work with many outstanding costume designers.So the part where she discusses Ruby going about her day as a seamstress is believable and fairly accurate. Ruby’s character draws you into the story as she determinedly seeks to change her life. The author shows her vulnerability as Ruby steps into the life she wants to create without being needy or hopeless.Many of us can relate to having a friend like the secondary character, Lilli, who is bigger than life and helps us break through our self-inflicted walls of self-doubt and fears.Our main sexy man is Blake and there was a part of me that had a hard time connecting to him. I like the mysterious Blake in the beginning but I quickly got upset with him shortly into the story because of some of his reckless decisions. ⭐ Curvy and sexy girl, hot guy and sequins…I’m a fan!! Operation: Burlesque caught my attention from the beginning. The book centers around Aspiring costume designer Ruby Palmer and the very handsome Blake Cannon. When Ruby goes to work for Cirque D’Amour, she doesn’t realize she has caught the attention of Blake, but eventually the sparks fly and the two share an amazing night together. However, when morning comes, Ruby realizes everything is not what it seems with Blake and her world is flipped upside down and inside out. This was a fast paced read, or maybe it was just me because I absolutely had to make sure everything ended. This was not my first book by the author and won’t be my last. Ruby, Blake and the rest of the performers left a lasting impression and I would love to read more about them, especially Ruby’s bff, Lilli.

Ruby, a seamstress with a sequin fetish, and the hots for the hunky magician Blake, falls into a rabbit hole full of intrigue, suspense, and hot steamy sex. Between being kidnapped by one “bad guy”, saved by the good guy, only to be taken by another “bad guy”, dumped in the desert to die with Blake, she finds more action than she bargains for. When she finally manages to find her way home, it is to try and find peace with the thought that she will never see Blake, the man she fell in love with during her fiasco, again. As she settles down back in the USA, into a safe routine, she once again finds her life turned upside down.Now….you are going to have to read the book to find out why, but I can tell you, you won’t regret it.This book is very well written. Michelle has a wonderful gift, and she uses it to weave her own version of a fairy tale. Well done
