⭐ I enjoy Peter Corris’ books. His full length novels are always a good read. However I find that his short stories are not up to his better standards and they seem to just peter-out at the end. Books like ‘The Big Drop’ should be clearly advertised as containing short stories. I find this frustrating when I expect a full length novel and feel that I have been cheated. If you like short stories and you like Peter Corris then go for it. Otherwise find another author.

⭐ The stories became a bit disjointed as I thought there was content enough for a full story.

⭐ Always enjoy the gritty realism of Peter Corris’ writing, added to the fact that there is seldom a neat happy ending means its difficult to put the book down
