From the Inside Flap A peek inside Tink’s Neverland:”What reports do you have?” J’kar asked, reaching for a nearby data screen. Glancing over it, he waited for one of the men to reply.Clearing his throat, Borj replied, “Um, everything looks well. All damage has been repaired, and we are on schedule for docking with the space dock tomorrow.”Noticing the odd tone to Borj’s voice, J’kar looked up and studied him. “You are well? Do you need to see the healer?” He really focused on the men standing in front of him for the first time since entering the bridge. Derik and Lan avoided looking him in the eye. They actually had a slightly red tint to their faces. Borj looked at him but seemed uncomfortable, shifting from one foot to the other. J’kar had never seen any of his warriors so uncomfortable before. Glancing around the bridge, he noticed all the men had stopped what they were doing and were watching him. When they noticed he was returning their stares, they quickly turned back to their stations.”Conference room. Now,” J’kar said through clenched teeth. Turning, he strode toward the conference room door. He knew something was amiss and planned to find out what it was. He had a bad feeling it was going to involve his bond mate.

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ This story was a rare combination of sci-fi; humor & heat…. a winning combo in my book. It was a good length & it introduced/ developed several other characters which I assume will eventually get their own story. Tink was a feisty out-of-the-normal girl who was looking for love & found it… in outer space. The H was a typical Alpha male who was driven by Tink’s unique character & friendliness.I liked the bonding marks; the after bonding ability to mental “talk” to each other & the eventual heat. I only wish the heat had started soon, maybe @ 40-50% of the book rather than @ 60%. But I must admit, when the heat began…. it was worth the effort. If you like some spice w/your sci-fi & a book you can truly sink your teeth into….. I would highly recommend TINK’S NEVERLAND.

⭐ I was giving the book as a gift an no one has influenced this review. it is strictly my opion. I had to give the book 4 stars it would have gotten 5 if it didn’t have a cliff hanger. I am on the edge of the cliff waiting to save money to get next book lol I truly did enjoy the book if you can handle a cliff hanger go for it awesome book an story. a very unusual story in my book but that makes it really good.

⭐ My star rating system:* Did not finish.** Finished, but it was a slog.*** OK story and character development, but plot holes or editing issues make it less than perfect.**** A good book in the genre, would recommend to anyone that reads within the genre.***** Great book, I tell all my friends and random strangers about this book.Klaxon ***** Spoilers **** Klaxon **** SpoilersThe Good:I like the main character(even though she is your basic manic pixy dream girl) and her best friend Cosmos. The basic story is good, though this is more a space fantasy than science fiction novel. I find the premise interesting. Girl goes through wormhole, girl meets boy, girl and boy are separated, chaos ensues. The Bad:Lord, how I hate fated mates. Some people write it in a more palatable way, but at it’s core it is just terrible. True romance, in my view, is waking up next to the same person every day and choosing to be there. The Hero basically roofies the Heroine whith his feremone transmitting bite, thinking she needs it to be willing to have sex. This turns out not to be true, and the sex is completely consentual. I considered putting this in the ugly portion because the book tells us that the the bite has been used to control women who do not want to have sex. The women have also been tied down to keep them from fighting their “males”(eye roll) and chance them getting hurt. This is not looked down upon or tabu, simply a fact of life. If your wife does not want to have sex, just force her.J’Kar is your basic Alphahole. Jealous, overbearing and controlling. He wants to kill any “male” that touches Tink. I realize that this behavior is typical to this jenre, but it still is not good. This book uses the “rare female” trope as a plot device/hole. The numbers never add up in these books unless this is a recent occurrence. It isn’t. If a woman gives birth to twenty children in her lifetime and only one is a female, then approximately one out of every twenty people will be female. However it doesn’t appear that women are forced to continue having babies until they finally pop out a girl, meaning the population of women is continually decreasing, leading to a decreasing population overall. In this book the reason more boys are born than girls is because they are a warrior race, and need more boys than girls to fight in their wars? The problem with this arithmetic is that one man and five women can produce the same number of children as five men and five women. Man + harem is the most likely evolutionary/ cultural adaptation in this situation(assuming a 50/50 m/f birthrate). What I am trying to say is that nature wouldn’t allow it.The Ugly:He intends to trap her in the relationship by getting her pregnant, and succeeds. (She is happy about the unplanned pregnancy, maintaining her manic pixy dream girl personality beautifully.)This is where the cognitive dissonance comes in.The Hero believes that earth is a dangerous place for women, yet once Tink and J’Kar get (alien)planetside Tink must have a guarded at all times to protect her from other clans that would “wish to keep her as their own.” Maybe all they would do is kidnap her, bite her and give her orgasmic rape sex. What is clear is that Tink no longer has bodily autonomy. I know what you are thinking, she almost died at the hands of a serial killer on earth. True. However this is a problematic plot device in and of itself. The chances of encountering a serial killer are statistically insignificant. The only purpose for it being in the book is to establish victimhood for our heroine. Death by violence is not even in the top 30 things to die of in the world. More rational would be the fear of her dying of malaria.By now your are asking yourself why I bother reading these types of books… I like the jenre. I read a lot. I’m in the waiting period for my favorite authors to release their next books. This book has four and a half stars. There are only so many authors writing books in this jenre with strong female leads and male leads that aren’t a bag of d*&#s, this series of books is not among them.

⭐ It was a unique fantasy romance that focused a lot on sex and reproduction. Heroine is humane and hero is some type alien leader. He finds heroine is his bond mate and takes her back to his home planet. Their relationship is very sexual, the majority of the story focused on sex. The heroine goes as far as teaching a whole alien species about oral sex. Seems the hero’s culture is all about reproducing but without the fun. Heroine teaches the hero in person and rest of his kind in words that there is more fun to be had. The love scenes were steamy. It was a fun read, but very fluffy and not much depth to the story. I mean there is a bad guy out there but it is barely mentioned, as more focus was on the sex. I just can’t believe heroine was a virgin with all the knowledge she had. It was just not believable. It is a safe read. The H/h are bond mates. It is a light read.

⭐ I read a lot of books in this genre and I very rarely feel strongly enough to leave a review. This book started off really promising, with very interesting characters and premise. Unfortunately after the first couple of chapters the story became very boring and disappointing, IMO. SPOILER ALERT – consent and rape warning – My real issue with the book, however, are the disturbing things this author thinks should be acceptable to the reader and the heroine. The “hero” essentially kidnaps the heroine, and despite the fact she seems like she’ll put up a resistance, she does not. There’s instalust involved, but neither of them are mindless. The worst issues are with the hero’s culture. Supposedly they have too few females, but despite that, there are many females available for males to sleep with for pleasure (not the females’ pleasure). The females in their culture do not really enjoy sex, but enjoy it a little if they are bitten with venom. The males sometimes restrain females who are not willing to sleep with them (including their long-time partners) and inject them with venom to make them kinda enjoy the sex and be fertile. The worst part for me was that the hero, knowing he’d feel horrible about it later, restrained the heroine and violently raped her (as far as he knew; she was willing but he DID NOT know it!). I am so disappointed that the promising beginning turned out so badly.

⭐ Tink’s Neverland (Cosmo’s Gateway Book 1)S E SmithJasmine “Tinker” Bell lived up to her name in spades. She could Tinker with the best of them making her one dynamite mechanic. She was a Sprite and Spitfire all rolled into one. She kept herself in tip-top shape. And she could get herself in trouble…..just like her namesake fairy Tinkerbell! But there the similarities ended. Tinker was all woman, she loves playing instruments and boy could she sing! Just ask her groupies and bandmates! Tinker and Cosmo were friends. More like siblings, they fought like cats and dogs. They also had each other’s back. Cosmo is this wealthy Nerd Geek, had his doctorate at 22. who could think up any type of project…. and BAM it was done! Tink and Cosmo took care of each other…she helped keep his projects running with her multiple skills… he gave her a place to live inside his fortress….sympatico! But Tink was nosy….just like all fairies faced with a strange glowing doorway and seeing a fight on the other side….Hey that dude was in big trouble….Wait …..hes just a kid! Well here the adventure REALLY begins! SE Smith has dreamed up this huge universe just waiting to be Discovered and Explored! Oh and who is that hunk standing next to the railing…………So pull up a comfy chair, get yourself a drink, and sit down to Explore this Universe just the other side of Cosmo’s Gateway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

⭐ I’ve read this book before but didn’t write a review on it. I love Tink & J’Kar’s story as it is filled with fast-paced action, lots of sex scenes & sexy Aliens. Tink & J’Kar meet after Tink saves his youngest brother from being killed; when she grabs J’Kar’s hand because she was so shocked at the scene before her (just imagine being on the bridge of a Star Trek ship & seeing the big window/screen). When their hands touch it sets off a shocked feeling & the mating tattoo shows up on each other’s hand & while Tink thinks nothing of it J’Kar realizes that he’s found his bonded mate (aka wife). Just before he reaches for her Cosmos comes for her through the portal & takes her home. That of course sets off the chain reaction for J’Kar to find any means necessary to get her back. I don’t like to spoil the book for you so, you will have to read it yourself. I’m now off to read the next book in this series.

⭐ One star for good copy editing. I saw no glaring grammatical errors, typos, etc. That one star raises this review to an undeserved two stars. Is this story any good? I wouldn’t know. I couldn’t get past the dreadful storyTELLING. This author does not understand the maxim of “show, don’t tell.” The first 7% of the story was almost entirely an information dump of backstory and description. I regret leaving this review, because the book description held so much promise. I expected something more, something better from a best-selling author.

⭐ I couldn’t put this wonderful story down. From beginning to end I was completely captivated. Great world-building, Engaging characters, and an engrossing story.I loved Tink and the way everyone reacted to her. Poor aliens had no idea what they were getting into when Tink appeared on their ship. One of my favorite scenes is when Tink’s in the mess area and tells the all-male crew (who are woefully ignorant of how to please their partner) about oral sex. OMG, I laughed so hard.

⭐ This is actually the second time that I have read this book. I bought this about a year and a half ago and read it then and didn’t leave a review Don’t know why. I know I enjoyed it the first time and I really enjoyed it this time. There is of course love at first sight or touch as it may be. I think some of the alpha males need to get their heads put on straight but I think Tink does a good job. while this book does come to a resolution it also leads you into the next book of the series. I have to admit I do love Tink.
