Description
Welcome to the shadow world of Blood Courtesans…where vampires are real and blood is a financial asset. This is the world I live in.
I don’t care about the money I’ll make as a blood courtesan. I need the vampires to protect me from other humans. And more than that, from myself. Any time I think about getting revenge against the bullies who’ve tortured me, the thing I imagine happens. I have no way to control it. And the latest incident has put me in the middle of a murder investigation. I have to convince them to turn me into a vampire. I can’t be tried for murder if I’m already dead. Or…undead.
In the vampire world, blood is money and sex is everything. But when my power catches the attention of the oldest, most powerful vampire in the coven, he’ll do anything to make me his.
Nash doesn’t have to look me in the eye to cast a spell over me. And I don’t even have to look at him to know he wants me.
I’ll either be Nash’s secret weapon–or the downfall of his coven.

Welcome to the shadow world of Blood Courtesans…where vampires are real and blood is a financial asset. This is the world I live in.The Blood Courtesans series is a collection of standalone stories set in Michelle Fox’s vampire world. They do not have to be read in any particular order to be enjoyed.Meet the blood courtesans–A New Kindle Unlimited Series!May 24Reborn (Myra)–Michelle FoxWanted (Corynne)–Kristen StrasselJune 7Marked (Winter)–Gwen KnightBitten (Nova)–Kim FaulksNeeded (Angel)–Ever ComingJune 28Ensnared (Star)–Rebecca RivardLater this summer–Hooked (Poppy)–Selena Kitt From the Author An excerpt from WANTED:I jumped when someone moved my hair away from my shoulder. “Drink,” the deep, silky voice commanded. I closed my eyes, relishing the shivers the sound sent over me. He had an accent, but I couldn’t place it with one word. “You won’t be as nervous.”British.This was my guy. I almost didn’t want to look at him, so he could forever remain my fantasy. Especially with that sexy accent. I picked up the glass and winced at the first swallow of the spicy wine. He laughed. “It’s an acquired taste. Like many things here. Turn around, Corynne. Let me really see you.”Again, I did as he asked. The way his voice sounded I’d follow him straight into Hell, which was a very real possibility. Since the auction he’d added a black jacket to his outfit. His Adam’s apple bobbed at his open collar. He was nervous, too. For once, I felt like I had some of that power Sabrina kept insisting I had. His gaze warmed me, surrounding me like an embrace. I was hungry for so much more, but I had to be careful. I finally dared to look at his face. Dark, shaggy hair framed pale skin that practically glowed in the candlelight. He had high cheekbones and full lips that I wanted to touch. But he wasn’t perfect. He’d struggled, too.I liked that, we had something in common. His nose wasn’t straight and he had a faint scar on his cheek. I’d never been this close to a man before besides my dad, and that definitely wasn’t the same thing. The vampire didn’t look much older than me, ten years or so, but he had a gravity about him that made age meaningless. Like he could stop time from moving the same way he could stop a heart from beating. It was only him and me in the room, in the city, in the entire world. It was killing me not to look him in the eye. The vampire was beside me now, and I had no idea how or when that happened. He picked up my wine glass and touched it to my lips. I shook my head. “I don’t want to get drunk.” “I like the way it looks on your lips. Like you just drank from me.” He nudged the glass, and I took a tiny sip. It tasted better this time. The hint of a sexy smile spreading on his face when I leaned closer to him was enough to turn me to goo. As long as he didn’t know that, this was going to be fun. “I don’t drink from anyone unless I know their name.”This was a game I’d never win.Something had come over me, the couple sips of wine mixed with his scent. He’d paid top dollar for this night and I had no intention of being spit back into a world that antagonized me. Staying here was my best chance at anykind of future. I planned on giving him his money’s worth. He laughed. Put his head back, and let rip. I let a little more wine slip down my throat. Our gazes locked. Shit.I turned back to the table quickly, and put the glass down. He snatched it away, and when it returned to the table, it was empty. He moved my hair off my shoulder again. This time, I didn’t like it as much. “I don’t need cheap tricks to win you over, Corynne. Look at me.”

⭐ I just didn’t like this book at all, “Wanted: Corinne” from the Blood Courtesan series. I’m very disappointed, cause I’ve really liked most of the others that I read from the series.Andrea Davis/Corynne is not a very likeable character, & Nash, for being this old strong vamp, doesn’t really come across that way to me. I never felt any love between them, I really only felt Nash wanted her for her power (not that her power was ever really explained or explored in the story), like it made him feel alive again or something, I never felt he loved her. And he never said he loved her either. The story is very disjointed, with bad flow, with not enough information in most places, it skips around, & has no true closure at the end about the bad guy or if Andrea/Corynne has been excepted into the Coven (& Olivia). All you get is that Nash turns her & she is his “Lady” now, ugh! Even the bad guy, Oscar the vampire who lives in the forest, seems like an after thought added into the story. Why did Oscar just relinquish possession of Andrea/Corynne back to Nash, when Oscar captured her? I would have thought there would have been more there than Nash just glamoring over Oscar’s glamor on her &I then walking away with her. & What happened to Oscar & all the vamps in the forest? Also, the concept of blood courtesan seems to be washed over in this story, with most of the courtesans being turned into vamps, or vamps being referred to as courtesans, it seemed. Nothing really made sense in this story, I felt like I was reading an early stage rough draft that hadn’t been completed enough to go to the editors yet. The back story had potential, if the author had gone back, shuffled some of it a bit, & added more to different areas. I buy/get books to read to capture my imagination & take me away, not make me stumble thru puzzled trying to fill in the blanks with my questions of what the heck the author meant.
⭐ This story is terrible. The main characters are selfish and unappealing. Our tediously young virgin, Corynne escapes to courtesan land because she has some deep evil power that kills people. Her former best friend had become a loud mouth mean girl, and now she is dead by poison coffee. Our heroine had no memory of poisoning her at the coffee shop, but the police think she did it. So she flees Connecticut for the city to become a size 12 virgin courtesan with some undefined “evil” mental abilities. After she is chosen by Nash, she then spends the rest of the book demanding that he change her into vampire.Nash is a supposed bad ass, 600 yr old bloodsucker, but this coven runs likes a sorority house. There are rogue vamps in the forest, but he can’t kill them for “corporate” reasons. Innocent people die, idiot heroine is blamed, blah, blah. The bad guys are never punished, Corynne gets her demand to be a vamp after one week of stomping her foot. There is ZERO sexual chemistry. It’s as if the writer was 18 herself and describing something she’s only heard about.I’m shocked that this passes as a story. If you’re an actual adult woman…skip this tedious drivel.
⭐ This book is awesome and addictive. I liked getting to switch between perspectives to really get inside each main character’s mind and feelings. You really feel their connection that way, not just one side. The story itself is really cool, this chick’s “specialness” and how it’s led her to Nash, with his own interesting story and persona. I wished it was a bit longer and even more in depth than it already was , but I guess that’s a sure sign of a good book! It leaves you wanting more!Check this out for sure! I think I’m going to re-read it on my upcoming plane trip, it’s that good!
⭐ Book 2 of the “Blood Courtesans” series was a terrific read. There was just the right degree of plot development that made this novel a suspenseful read. The characters were realistic and developed. However, Corynne was somewhat irritating. She was so childish, always blaming other people for her problems; the outcomes of her experiences were clearly based upon her poor choices. Toward the end of the novel, she feared going into the woods behind her parents home in Connecticut, believing the police were searching for her, BUT she still went into the woods. And, guess what: BAD THINGS HAPPENED. Despite Corynne’s very irritating personality traits, this novel was enjoyable. I’m working my way through the series.
⭐ What can I say I just didn’t like “Wanted” from the Blood Courtesan series.Andrea Davis/Corynne is running from the police. Corynne has unusual powers that can kill people. She decides she needs to be turned into a vampire to escape the police. The only way she can become a vampire is by becoming a blood courtesan.Nash is over 600 years old an is head of the council and clan of Vampires. He bids at the Blood Courtesan auction for Andrea/Corynne. Nash feels her usual and dark powers and wants them for himself.Ok the problem I had with the story was it is not cohesive and the plot with Oscar a demented vampire and his clan of vampire who live in a forest was a minute long but was never resolved.I don’t recommend “Wanted” by Kristen Strassel. Bk 1 Reborn was really good. I will read books 3 and 4 because I have already bought and downloaded them. I hope they make more sense then “Wanted”
⭐ I feel like I’m missing pieces of the story and the ending felt rushed. I totally didn’t care for the chapter where Nash and Andrea (Corynne) met her parents. Nothing was resolved with the bad guy or with Corynne’s mysterious and supposedly evil power. From the examples given in the book, her power was simply self-defense mechanism, but Nash did hint at something else. Maybe this is just foreshadowing for another story?I felt awful for Olivia throughout the story. It felt like she got a raw deal at every turn.Nash didn’t really impress me as a leader. Sexy as hell, totally! Leader of a coven, not so much. Something was missing. He was tough with Corynne briefly after what happened with Sabrina, but at the coven meeting, he felt like wasn’t very powerful. Maybe that was his own guilt or maybe the coven politics are different than I was expecting? So now that I stated what I didn’t like, I’ll mention a few things I did like.Sierra and Sabrina were pretty much my favorite characters. I loved their banter and the way they helped Corynne. Their relationship was sweet and fun.The smexy scenes with Nash and Corynne were yummy! I did enjoy their banter and relationship. Nash was amazingly patient with Corynne’s immaturity and foolishness, imo.Loved the line by Sierra where she said, “I lost my best friend, which means I need all my friends.” That was perfect.
⭐ Imagine if you need to disappear from the life that you lead due to the fact that bad things always seem to happen around you. Andrea has been accused of murder and must hide but she also knows that she has dark side to her that she can’t control. She becomes Corynne and applies to be a blood courtesan so that ultimately she can become a vampire. Readers should enjoy this book which I would highly recommend as they follow the tale of two people who will have an impact on each others life.
⭐ Andrea Davis on the run. She is wanted by the police for murder. She has been tormented for many years by bullies at school, even her own best friends turned on her. She just finished high school and thought she had escaped her tormentors. She flees her home and head to NYC to become a blood courtesan. She figures its the only way to remain safe and out of jail. She reinvents herself as Corynne. She is put into an auction and is chosen by Nash-a 600 yr old vampire. There is a darkness inside Corynne that draws Nash to her. The darkness is responsible for her friend’s death, and why she ran off to save her family shame, and avoid jail time. Just as Corynne starts to feel in her new life, trouble comes around the corner, which only pushes Corynne to push Nash into turning her-so she can protect herself. It was a bit fast-paced and I wish there was more, but I enjoyed it.
⭐ I feel like I just got whiplash after reading this book.Corynne/Andrea Davis has a power that is taking over her life. She’s now wanted for murder of her ex best friend. So naturally she runs to the vampires to become a blood courtesan.Nash is a 600 year old vampire and has been fighting his feelings of loneliness since the loss of his mate. When he participates in the bidding of blood courtesans he bids and outrageous amount on Corynne because he can feel her power and he craves it.The story just didn’t come together for me. One minute everything is rainbows and sexy time and the next Nash is talking about punishing her because, heaven forbid Corynne have survival instincts! The issue with Oscar is kind of just left open and never resolved. I’m not sure if this problem continues throughout some of the other series, but from reading of the summary’s I don’t think so.I also didn’t quite understand why she was so determined for Nash to dress like a “college student” when meeting her family. Especially considering they already knows she’s with the vampires…??
⭐ Love these Blood Courtesans, they venture into a world of the unknown, thinking they know.Andrea aka Corryne is running away from a dark unknown in her she has lived with all her life, now she is being hunted because she can’t control her thoughts.. She joins the Blood Courtesan’s in the hope that she can stay hidden from the humans hunting her, but is she running into more danger?Nash is a vampire that never in his hundreds of years thought to find another to make his heart beat again, until he feels her power surround him. But he must teach her and save her from herself, from the dark thoughts that creep into her head.Lots of intrigue and suspense.
